thanks for the feedback guys! stems things are progressing! if all goes according to plan i can also ship them out cheaper since they fit an envelope of maximum 2cm thickness, so we got that going for us, which is great :D
protruding glass lengths and bends can be chosen no problem.

@funkyjunky, in reply;

please check in 'menu>coils>manage' that Check is set to 'No'.
Confirmed it is set to “No”.

do you have your tubo in a very cold place?
No, it’s indoors, at 70F. Also, just to be clear, it’s the Dual. My OG Tubo is fine.

the resistance change from my recommended one is indeed a bit high. if it gets worse over time i will have to look over it, that would point to a connection being lose. what resistance does it change to after reinserting the battery?
Pulled the battery 4 times, and got; .386, .387, .405, and .403. Previously, it’s dropped too low to produce heat, but lately just the high numbers.

And, I’d love to try the wood stem and capsules. Very cool. Would it be possible to produce that type of stem without the glass protruding, as an option? That would make the Tubo much more portable, IMO, and I’d definitely order both.
mhm it sounds like your connection from heater to evic is not superb. too low resistance does not make sense in this case tho. does it always autoreset the coil resistance with those numbers? its normal that they are higher, but yours are borderline imo. i already planned for making the firmware resistance reset a bit less aggressive as this can also happen once initially when frozen from the plane ride (tubos not working as expected out of the box).
does your tubo work ok when you set the resistance you are used to?

I usually get a device too hot warning whenever I use the whip or shinny mp, is this something I just have to live with or is there some tweaking of a setting that can alleviate this?
does this happen with a single bowl? high temps? strong draws? prolonged session? then yes, that can happen. you can try lowering max watts (4 click firebutton, '-' until at line PWR, '+' to start changing numbers then '-' to lets say 50-60watts). this should keep the chip a bit cooler.

have a good week everyone!

Does anyone else notice some bugs in the software? Main one is temp sometimes cuts off after only a second or two of holding the button. A bit annoying. Also... The display not wanting to flip as i mentioned earliar.

I don't think the cutoff thing is a software bug, I think it is a flaw in the button of the Cuboid.

wait you still having issues w this? I didn't have issues on either my single or dual flipping the display. it is counterintuitive but it needed to be done while the device is off. sorry if I'm repeating already known infos

I have tried flipping the screen with my Cuboid 200. Even though it is in the Cuboid manual I have not been able to make it flip (just to see if it could/would).

I was finally able to get it to flip it just took 4 or 5 times trying the same thing for it to finally do it. Currently a non issue.

Welcome @Lana Studios
First tip is that it comes with no batteries, so start there. A rotation of at least 2, preferably 3 or more good batteries if it's a single, 4 or more if a dual plus a good charger.
I've tried most stem loading methods and have come back to the rimless RBT screen inserted just a mm or two deep and packing it so the load is close to the heat. On all my units like this.
Last tip, enjoy the thing.
If VAS hits, look into a wood stem or other stems plus a bubbler.

For me one of the best "tricks" or "mods" is to create a double basket screen capsule. It's the main method I use when I'm alone.
Therefore you nerd to get at least two basket screens, I think one is included in the kit.
Thank you I have a basket screen from my Arizer EQ I will mainly be smoking this alone so i will definitely give this method a try.

Thank you and How would you compare this to the Boundless CF? I sold my CFX so I could replace it with the Tubo Evic.

I have had my Tubo for about a week now. I am not having very good luck with it. I updated to the latest firmware and tried out cruise (which helped some). I think my biggest problem is how open the airflow is? With a regular drag I get very wispy vapor, I can get really nice clouds, but its only accomplished by huffing way harder than I like which sends me into a coughing fit and just isn't a very relaxing time. I have updated my resistance from .181. listed on batt door to .186 and that helped some as well. Im packing it with a rimmed basket if that makes any difference. Any ideas if im doing anything wrong, or is this just the nature of this beast?
Thanks!

What stem(s) are you using? Also, what temps?

@almost there , I havnt used the warm up, but have tried manually warming up by hitting the button a few seconds before I hit it (is the warm up function similar?. I am getting medicated for sure, so it is working, im just missing the relaxation that usually follows my other vapes. Is the Tubo capable of sipping? I picked it up on a whim, but think that something with a bit more resistance will be more suited for my vape sty

@sickmanfraud im using the bent stem and packing into a rimmed basket at the tip trying everything from 400-450 degrees

Hey man,

Yeh, up that resistance another few notches and use warmup mode and cruise afterwards.
The tubo likes a faster draw and shines there - not a true sipper (or Milaana slow draw), but with these tweaks/usage patterns you can make it easier. It really performs thru water - dry hits can be hot at times, I find.
Had great water fun last weekend - a nice companion with the UFO

Came back from a week vacation to a nice little box in the mail...Swiss Post? Must be something juicy.

Not enough time under my belt to give a full review, but as an experienced user I was able to get up and running with great cruises from the very first try. I am absolutely loving the performance so far, and the unit is gorgeous to boot.

Favorite way to use it so far (and will vary with strain, just for my current batch) is a 90 second cruise at 365, a 90 second cruise at 385, then on demand hits at 420 to finish off the high temp extraction.

Try doing a full warmup mode before your cruise as suggested by @vapen00b . After that if the cruise isn't to your expectations then you can increase the coil resistance from there based on your results. As long as the coil doesn't give off a visible glow during warmup mode then your resistance is okay but if it glows then you have to start lowering the value.

@awmaster10 that sure looks sweet. It came really quick, remember chatting with you about the delivery time in Reddit I think

Yeah it came really quickly, it’s been less than 3 weeks, and I haven’t been home for 8 days, so it could have come days ago for all I know. I remember discussing on Reddit and although the priority would have been much faster, I think I ended up on the quicker side for standard delivery, so I am satisfied. Already putting a lot of loads through the unit and it’s an absolute champ.

Hey everyone, I just received my tubo today and just had some questions! I've read through this entire forum so I feel like I'm pretty caught up with everything tubo related, but when I received my tubo it didn't have a TCR value inside the battery door and the device was set to .217(which I thought might be too hot). I first tried putting it in warm-up and the coils were glowing red and then it gave me a battery too weak/device too hot warning, so I then turned down the coils to .200 and things seem better now and the coils aren't glowing anymore. I guess I just wanted to check if that was an okay setting to have the coils at since I have nothing to go off of and am not too familiar with the TCR settings. Thanks so much to @funkyjunky for the awesome vape and to anyone else who can help! Loving the tubo so far :D

I to experience problems I’ve had mine a little over a week gone to use tonight check all settings and they are as they should be, problem I cant seem to get it to temp even when I put in warmup mode it jumps straight to 530 and cuts out any thoughts or help would be appreciated and cruise mode the same. Cheers

Quick update my tcr value is value is 0.207 on the battery door I’ve now tuned it up 0.220 and it’s stop cutting out on warmup and now gets warm again but the coils are glowing bright red now on heat up is this ok? I’m gonna stop messing now in till I get some feed back .
