If I only take 2-3 hits over the course of 5 hours at night is the Milaana for me?

I don’t want to go overboard. Have a vapcap coming on Monday and planned on possibly getting a Mi2.

I microdose by loading small quantities and sucking then dry, escalating temperature between draws. It's pretty much the antithesis of chasing clouds! Frankly I haven't taken advantage of the reputed advantage of convection vaping, that you can take single hits from a moderate load, without reloading, over the course of hours. My mighty and omnivap are blended convection conduction. Probably not well suited. My milaana might be well suited. But I'd lose the full spectrum extraction I get crossing the range of temperatures. Do folks here spread a single load over multiple single draws spaced out over hours?

Isn't that the purpose of an "on demand" vape? I planned to get one of those on demand battery vape, but if I have to finish the bowl each time, I will stay with my mighty...

Although i am a heavy user i would say the Milaana is a great vape for your lifestyle. You can load just a sprinkle, and because it is instant on demand you can get your 1 hit quickly and without worry of conduction cooking away afterwards like you will get in other vapes to a varying degree (vapcap included, although on a lesser scale than most).

You will also notice a great diffrence in the vapor signatures of the vapcap vs the Mi. Different combinations of conduction, convection, and radiant heating cause different effects on the user.

So get them both! All this from some dude who hasn't been able to stop buying vapes the last 10 years.

In a word, yes.....log vapes or sort of log-like vape designs like the Milaana are very good for this. Put the stem in, vape what you want, pull the stem out and set it aside until you want the rest of the load.

But be aware, the Milaana is unregulated. The user is the temp regulator here by varying duration and timing of pushing the power button. Its not that hard.

But, in addition to the Milaana if you don't mind electrical plugs, log vapes are also very good for what I believe you want.

How you guys consider the Mi high vs mighty high??
I got one Mi on the way.
My vape are dinavap m, mighty,solo2,grasshopper and venus apollo....I enjoying all of them for different reasons but just the mighty is capable of give that good high before bed time.
Gust guessing in mean time the Mi is coming to me

Yes! It is a perfect micro dower for sure! You can load a big tube dose up take a couple draws then wait a while and finish it off. Works great!

It isn't the purpose, but a benefit. What is great about the Milaana is how it works just as well with a hit every once in a while off any size load, as does sessioned with back to back hits. In a session, the biggest benefit of on demand is now cooking in between hits, only making vapor when you draw air through it (pure convection) so super efficient for a variety of vaping styles

So...I've really been living with my Milaana the past three or four days. Diving deeper into how I can best use her. I did more 'research' reading this thread, and other wooden on-demand threads on all the different variables and techniques that go into customizing my experience with this vaporizer.

I got some new batteries. SONY-VTC5-A as recommended on the Milaana page for a hotter oven. I positioned my screens a little deeper into the joint, and started to lightly tamp loads with a dowel to even them and leave about 1mm between the load and the end of the stem. It ends up being about .07g-.10g. And I stir and retamp after 2-3 pulls.

All of these things have helped me really gain a much deeper appreciation for what this device can do. The batteries are a game changer. I'd been practicing the other techniques for about a week or so, and had an improved experience, but the new batteries I got Friday bumped it up another notch.

I'm getting tastier vapor quicker, I don't have to draw as long so my throat and lungs don't have to pull in hot dry air as long. My abv is much more even, and a darker roast. It's easier to get full extraction. And the hotter batteries are allowing me to get back to using my short stem-I find I get the best taste and best experience from the short stem-the thing hits like a train and I'm less apt to combust. But I needed to get to a place with shorter pulls for it to work for me. And now it does.

I put a little Blue Dream concentrate into a WiFi flower sandwich last night about 9pm and that stem is still going strong after about a dozen pulls 15 hours later.

Thank you @RastaBuddhaTao Hope your move is going smoothly. Here's a little guitar porn for you.

Has anyone had their Milaana heater make a high pitch squeal? Recently I have been getting a weird squeal every once in awhile.
Is the heater, or an airflow thing?
I would have to say a heater issue as airflow is same as usual. It will make an electrical high pitch squeal kinda like a resonance.
I don't think there's any oscillators, capacitors or moving parts in a milaana that could create electrical noise. This sounds more like a whistle to me, created by an airflow dynamic that wasn't there before.

Great post! I LOVE my @RastaBuddhaTao Mi, but I'm always looking for new techniques/info. I read in this thread about the Sonys but was hesitant. Hey for about $6 USD why not? You've dispelled my hesitation.

The Mi is truly like 6 vapes+ in one.

Thanks for extending my mind. Thanks to @AJS , details and links to tamp/screen/inhalation methods, @sickmanfraud, sharing great deal on screens, @KeroZen, all about the 'pulse' brother, @Other Side, too much to mention, and ALL in this thread and community. Nothing but love today!

I can't remember where or when I read it, but I remember reading about using Alternate or Crafty Liquid Pads in Mi stems. My long stem was problematic for any and all normal screens I acquired for the Milaana. So out of (very mild) desperation I used the liquid pad from my Alternate and it fit perfectly.

I liked that it restricted the draw a bit-that works better for me on the long stem especially. And then it dawned on me yesterday that I could actually use concentrates in my Milaana without hemp fiber (which kinda irritates my lungs).

So I tried it... I put a Crafty liquid pad in my short stem and it works like a charm. On-demand concentrate vaporizer. I now have liquid pads in both stems. NOTE: I did have to use shears to trim the pad to fit the short stem-but that took less than a minute.

Great taste, and kicks like a mule.

Hi,

Sorry for the dumb request, but I entered the contest after reading that post, and I wasn't able to find the results ^^
I think I missed something, since drawing was on 03/01.

So I would like to be sure I lost haha, and congrats to the winner(s)!!!

Haven't seen anything posted on IG yet, probably hasn't had a chance to do the drawing yet with the big move going on is my guess

Awesome. I had posted about using liquid pads from S&B dosing capsules. Fit like a glove and no trimming needed.

Heya, I have searched for this but, how is anyone getting on with the 1.5 flatter base?
I mean, is it as comfortable to hold in the hand as the original, does it feel more stable when standing or is it just a false sense of confidence? Thanks

The 1.5 definitely stands better, but I recommend laying it on its side or use the Safety Pick to act as a monopod on its side, prevents potential glass destruction. Ergonomics wise, there is a bit more grip with the edge.
