Are you annoyed at the sound it makes when its vibrating on a surface (such as a table)? I mostly keep mine in my bong, and put my bong on some fabric, so when it vibrates, it doesn't sound as loud. Like, it really does make a big difference to me (I don't like loud sounds, and when its on my table it amplified to the point it startles me :p ) .

You could try using sticky rubber pads so when its stood on a surface, it doesn't sound as loud?

It simply annoys me bc it's freaking loud and long while useless. It's an aggresive neverending vibration if you ask me, and you can imagine that's not what you seek for when you're "wielding" your vape ;)
Maybe one or two short beeps wouldn't be that bad, but it's what, 3 seconds straight vibrating like there's no tomorrow?

Anyway... I already cut it lol. So nice now to fire it up, see the logo go up and no vibration... ^^
I was having a hard time just splitting the thing in two like in the tear down from puffitup, so I didn't. You never know when you are applying too much strength and I was getting uncomfortable, but then I noticed I could reach the wires while prying it open with one hand, and that I did. The ON/OFF button came off in the worst moment lol and was quite a biatch to set back in place, but it's rolling now, even better than new!

As for the disassembly, I needed Torx T6 and T5. I have the "new" cfx with revised mp filter.

It is annoying man xD
I'm sure the length of the buzz isn't always the same (sometimes it feels like it goes on 1 or 2 secs more than is "normal").

Glad the operation was a success ;) .

Just got a CFX and man oh man on man can this thing do quite a bit. I'm having fun experimenting with temperatures but so far I think I like low temp hits (315-330 F) the most. They're tasty and energizing. I totally agree with this

It's just too long and powerful. 2/3 of the vibration with 1/2 of the duration would have been perfect.

Without reading through the whole thread, does anyone have any tips or tricks or favorites they want to share?

So I finally read the whole thread and I am enjoying the CF/x. I would like to say I actually like the extra loud/long vibration buzz as it works as an auto stirrer to get an extra puff through the WPA just when you thought it was finished.
Also, I don`t think I have turned it off (5clicks) since I have owned it(6months)as it seems easier to hold the power button down for 3 seconds to awaken/put to sleep whenever needed, 5 clicks on/off would wear out my button fairly quickly.

I rave about it on reddit alot but I've never read this thread. Really insightful. I consider myself quite the CF veteran. I've actually have owned the CF since 2016 and have two units. I originally had the first model without the battery indication and the terrible draw resistance mouthpiece. One of the units cracked and Boundless graciously replaced it and it was at my door in 2 days. I then got the new model with the battery check and stealth mode and decided to pick up a 2nd unit. Boundless is a great company, they truly care about their customers. In my two years of using this vape all I can say is I'm still amazed by what it is capable of daily. I use a mighty mouthpiece in place of the stock one and that seems to fix the draw resistance for me and I also like the look and shape of it better. I get terrible chronic migraines 24/7 and this vape is really my salvation at times. It offers me quick discrete pain relief. I live in a populated city (take a guess) And use the CF out and about all the time and have never had an issue once. I opted for the CF over the CFX primarily for stealth and I have not regretted it since. The mighty mouth piece certainly adds to the stealth factor the stock one looks a bit weird hitting it in public. A few other staple mods i use are the arizer dome screen to prevent herb on the mouthpiece. My units have been in use for about two years daily and the battery life is still quite decent. I absolutely love this vape and am eternally thankful boundless were the first to bring a inexpensive crafty/mighty competitor into the fold. A friend of mine has the alternate and while I loved it his mouthpiece has cracked 4 times. I have actually never actually used the WPA for the CF since I need to be discrete with it but hope to pick up some china glass one day and try that out. I have recommended this vape to many of my friends, and 3 of them now own it and use it daily.

Welcome to FC @vapesrfun. It is nice to see more veteran vapers here and to hear how they have converted combusters to vapers.

Thanks! Alot of the friends i let use it weren't really aware of vapes like this minus the gpen and expect wispy weak pulls. I think the CF is a good inexpensive vape to convert combusters because of the satisfying dense vapor.

Not to start anything, but with the Tera issues, I've been looking at my rather new (only a few months old) CFX, and after cleaning (I use ELBs), whenever I blow through the air intake (whilst on), a far amount of smoke comes out, and it keeps coming out.

(I'm worried because I'm be having a lot of health problems recently, and I'm not sure if its the weed, or the vape. If that makes sense?)

I know some of the "smoke" would come from left over residue from the herb in there, but the constant stream and the thickness of the smoke that comes out seems more than what you'd expect.

Anyone else able to compare with theirs, or know of a way of testing to make sure Smiss hasn't switched out the tape for something less than ideal?

Hey thanks for posting, do you mind emailing me Eric@bndlstech.com with some info to help us figure this out? I would mainly need the security code number listed under the scratch-off section on the back of the box so we can match with what production batch the unit came from. I am inquiring with the team immediately on this.

What does this mean?

I sold my CFX to a friend and he's just encountered this problem.....his words

"It turns on but doesn't heat up and then this screen comes up and it shuts off"

I don't have the CFX but when it happened to others it was dead. I'm glad I have the CF which appears to be more reliable, the addition of digital display in vapes (and devices for that matter) is sadly also an addition of something that can go wrong

My CFX has been rock solid for two years are a little longer. I don’t think the cf is more reliable than the cfx.

Well, I'm not saying that CFX arent reliable, but I came across many reports of the CFX doing this display error thing (which means death) while I can't remember any issues reported with the CF.. for me it is safe to conclude that the CF is more reliable but to each their own

The CFX has a screen to display the "error" message, were as if they same sort of thing was to happen with a CF, it simply wouldn't work. It's telling you something's broke instead or simply not working.

It looks like part of a technical drawing that would imply a break in the circuit somehow. Normally caused by a drop, teardown or fault that is covered by warranty.

As long as you've still got your box (with the scratch off code), Boundless customer services should sort you out.

FYI the top part of the swivel mouthpiece that comes with the Boundless Tera, fits perfectly into the the CF/X mouthpiece, and it increases the airflow and also feels nicer than the CF/X mouthpiece which is very wide.

I use a modified glass mouthpiece on the Tera so I have no use for the swivel piece and installed it on my CF which is my backup vape. Probably not many of you are in a same situation to find this little mod useful, but just letting you know :D

Just ordered a CFX there...retiring the wee Flowermate V5.0s!

Tips, tricks and mods appreciated! Was also wondering if you can use while charging?
