Could someone tell me what the thimble sized cork piece with the thin, small stem is for?

It fits in the mouthpiece of some waterpipes so that you can use the whip as a mouthpiece instead of direct drawing from the waterpipe.

If the cork doesn't fit with your waterpipe, some of the @Ratchett adapters work. I think I use the medium universal one and it works alright.

Ddaves pack of 4 are out of stock unfortunately. Waiting patiently for an email.
Greetings @manujo

New batch of stems should ship to me March 1st. They have been redesigned to hold the top hat basket screens much better than previous versions.

The day I receive them, I'm going to verify that they are to my specs. Then I'll get those notification email sent out ASAP.

Thanks, DDave

Hey S.Snacks, Where did you get the 18mm stems please? 'Mist?' TY!

Ah sorry they were a custom order and weren't as easy as we had hoped unfortunately. Not sure if it will be possible to make more, it is from a glass blower friend of MistVape working on his bubblers and 14mm GonGs. I'll post a photo soon bc they are pretty great, mainly for my RBT vapes I have been searching for a very long time for this experience (his basket screens inside the stems and the 22mm joint length), but so far they are proving quite nice in the Tubo as well!

I have some TUBOx and mod (Cuboid 200) issues. I think the Cuboid is the more likely the cause.

First, I can charge the batteries to full and the Cuboid displays 4.20. Turn Cuboid off, next day 4.17 to start, off again and lower the third day, etc. even with the Cuboid off except to check the battery?

More concerning, I have been using 3 brand new Sony VTC5A but the unit does not allow me to start a Cruise when the battery is around 3.7. On my Evic and my Dual, the batteries are useful to much lower than 3.7.

At this point, I get more stems out of fresh HG 2 (3000 each x 2= 6000) in the Dual than fresh VTC5A (2500 each x 3 7500 ma) in the cuboid.

Is there a setting that allows the batteries in the Cuboid to drain below 3.7?

The three married cells (must be in Utah) do not read the same when placed in the charger or when reading the screen after plugging the USB in for charging?

Thanks for your help.

Noone responded. anyone able to help out??

@sickmanfraud dunno about your second issue, but the first just sounds like normal behaviour for batteries that are past their best and prob due for replacement.

I have three Arizer Air 18650's that all do the same as you describe. Charge in the Nitecore to 4.2v take them out and pop them back in a few mins later (without use) and they read 4.17v.
I've been meaning to replace them for far too long

Do new batteries do this??

@Gray Area thanks for the reply.

I am having these issues with brand new Sony VTC5A batteries. IME the chargers don't even agree 100% of the time if you take the charging batteries and swap them out and see different amounts.

One thing I am sure of is this...If you have batteries that your charger says are full remove them and DO NOT try to "top them off". That can kill a battery. I killed a Solo battery in a year by overcharging!

Does anyone know if there is a setting that can be changed to allow my Cuboid to function between 3.7 and 3.5 volts??

Hey Guys/Gals!

I am so interested in the Tubo Evic! My daily driver recently went haywire on me and I am looking for a new one. I am currently torn between the Air 2 and the Tubo Evic, although I don't know as much about the Evic as I'd like before I make a decision. Could any of you chime in on how they compare?

Tubo Evic is more portable desktop, full powered pure convection on demand or session style, nothing but glass and steel for your vapor path, handmade wooden body and standard glass connections too. The Arizer Air2 is more old school portable using hybrid conduction with convection only in session style (it will be constantly cooking herb even if you do not hit it, while Tubo only heats herb when you inhale the hot air through it really), a slow heat up and some plastics around, while it has a fraction of the power Tubo has (watts vs watts). Both have replaceable batteries and similar battery life relative to the performance, both are reasonably efficient, but Tubo is moreso. Tubo is more powerful and more versatile, though the Air could be a little easier for a new user potentially (simpler) BUT Tubo is what I use for newbies to not worry about technique since I almost exclusively use these kind of on demand glass stem wooden body convection vapes myself

I really am on the go A LOT, sometimes I don't have my car and use Uber so I throw a pre-packed vape in my girls purse for the destination. I know with the Arizer products you can pre-fill the tubes, cap them, and put everything in the case. What would my solution here be as far as wanting to have the Tubo pre packed somehow and ready to go?

Also, when on the go, how do you keep stuff from getting in the hole? I feel like as soon as I take the stem out and toss it in my girl's bag, all sorts of little pieces of sh*t are going to get in there, then when I pull it out to use I'm going to inhale toasted dirt LOL...

You can do the same, get short stems and prepack them, cap them so herbs don't fall out (with screen or something else, I like herbs open to heater myself but most seem to like a screen cap here) and then store stems in a case, ddave and rbt stems fit in battery cases, they just don't provide the cooling off a long and/or bent stem. This is not really a throw in the purse vape, but could be with the right case (I often put mine in a leather pouch and that'd work for a purse since its thick) while Tubo isn't exactly pocketable. Certainly not like a Fury2 in that regard. BUT I think the performance here will have you figuring out a way to make it work for you out and about like that (I rely on prefilled oil cart pens for that bc it is so much simpler and most stealth, hoping the Haze Square can accomplish that for me with herbs though since I much prefer them to concentrate)... I have used my Milaana as an out and about portable so I do believe it can be done and done well with the Tubo too

Could some one please advise me on how to acquire a tubo as I’ve messaged about one on there website weeks ago no reply and today still nothing quite annoying really or am I missing something thanks
I believe @funkyjunky is out of the shop for a little bit, don't remember when he is returning but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will give you the details. He's really good about answering inquiries, sure he'll respond as soon as he's back.

I understand that @funkyjunky is back this week. Best to PM @funkyjunky and ask what is available now and what can be made in the next couple of weeks.

Welcome to FC @mrbiggiejones .

Sorry to bother again but I still haven't figured out how to update the logo to my tubo using Ntoolbox.
There is no option to add anything besides a .bin file.
I attached a screenshot.
I've tried two computers with the tuboupdater but it wouldn't be recognized. Either it's windows 10 or it's my device.

This is how I updated the firmware:

And this is the Firmwareeditor.exe you mentioned but I have no idea where to do what:

you are on the right track with the nfirmwareeditor.exe window. go to 'tools' in the top row, then select 'Firmware updater'. the windows that pops up is very similar but different. there is a logo button.

Damnnnnn that thing looks pretty

@funkyjunky How is the testing going on those bad boys? Do you find yourself using this stem often?
testing is going great. the stems are holding up and are fun to use. i dont have any cracks from the constant heating and cooling (yet). so far it is certainly a great experience.
some of the capsules are fuckers tho, lid very tight or super lose.

so they aren't available yet?
unfortunately not ready yet. will update of course once they are ready!

also re: new style space age glass mouth piece, please contact me by pm or email for purchase at the moment. or wait a bit, i will add them to the shop shortly.

Very nice laser cutting. Can you cut a pattern / design all the way around the tube?
I have never tried bending wood stems. Here is a post about how to do it. http://www.pipesbydesign.com/single-post/2014/07/15/How-to-Make-a-Curved-Wooden-Pipe-Stem
Looks like a lot of work. Bending bamboo might be easier. Cutting the 18mm taper would then be a real challenge after it is bent.
for engraving all around the stem there is an accessory available for the particular laser cutter i can use. maybe they will get it if i ask, lets see. that would be nuts!
the bending works better than i imagined, but yeah a lot of work. not sure if its worth it, glass lining out of the question as well.

I can not get my screen to flip for the life of me. It should be just holding the up and down buttons while the unit is "off". Does off mean screen is off, or clicked into lock mode? I have tried both and all i can get is a key lock nothing else. Any assistance would be appreciated. It is driving me nuts! Thanks all.

When first got my dual, display was upside down too. Five clicks unit off, pressed and held + & - my screen flashed on, flipped orientation then turned off again. After that it was fine when I clicked five times to turn on again. Tbh sound like that's what you've done already :hmm:

Thanks for the answer, it was working to the point I selected the logo. After that the update stops with the message "no device detected", tubo screen turns on and that's it. I don't know what to do anymore, it seems my evic is kinda buggy.. Do you also use Win10?
Well as it's just the logo it's not that important to me, just wondering why it is and how to fix.

Edit: Ok nvm, logo is only supposed to show up when in "screensaver" mode, right? I thought it would show up anytime.

My Dual’s resistance changes every time I swap batteries, even though the resistance is locked. If I forget to check it, I either get nothing or it gets red-hot instantly. I’m wondering if re-loading the firmware might fix it. Has anybody run into this?

Also, the resistance written on the unit is .212, but I’m currently running it at 2.32, and thinking about bumping it a bit more to better match my OG Tubo. No big deal, but thought I’d mention it, as it seems extreme. I don’t recall having to adjust it by this much initially. :myday: Perhaps it’s related to the former issue(?).
