i empty the oven before letting it cool, while its still hot, i use a toothpick to clean out the oven( i find it better than the included keychain tool, and the toothpick is disposable:)
And after the oven is empty i use the brush to take out the remaining bits.

i load the oven again and have another session, after 4-5 sessions i do a deep clean, i clean the oven with iso.

So far i have been using an alcohol that i bought from pharmacy, no one could tell for sure the percentage of alcohol.

Now i bought an isopropyl rated at 99.6 or sth and i was worried it could melt the rubber gasket behind the oven. it would be a disaster
If the swabs come in individual sealed packages then it’s most likely 70%. 99% is fine for a quick swab, just not advised to soak with

Alcohol from the pharmacy is usually one of two kinds: 70% or 50%. I'd recommend staying with the 70%. I too use tooth picks and the brush and even a q-tip and works perfectly. I typically do it once a week so that's close to 5 sessions or so. You'll be just fine ;)

Do you think 99 percent ipa will do any harm to the device ?

i am worried about the silicone parts,
i would still like to get an official response from @Davinci_vaporizer .
No you're good but I'd recommend a lower iso like 70%. You can always dilute a bit as well!

Hey Guys!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me why the IQ on their website is $279, but on eBay for a "brand new" IQ is around $180? It seems that eBay seller has sold over a hundred or so with positive feedback, so I am wondering what the difference would be besides saving $100?

He likely bought a batch of 500+ to undersell retailers using eBay.
I have bought large lots of items that sell for high prices, and gotten wholesale prices that are half MSRP.
The fellow on eBay was likely happy to make $40+ for each, to make them move fast, and move onto the next project.

Could be Chinese knock offs

Hi guys.
I'm new in this herbal vaping world and last Friday go my black stealth IQ.
The normal struggle to learn how to pack the oven but somehow it was quite "easy" to get it right (thanks to all tips I read here).
My issue with my iq is that the flavour chamber is loose. If I open the top bay and tilt the device upside down the oven slides right off.
Does somebody have this issue? Do you know if it affects the vapor production?
Shall I send it back and ask for a new one?
Thank you all in advance.

I don't think that is a problem. I'm not all the way sure what the flavor chamber does other than filter and cool the vapor a bit. I don't think it affects "production" at all. Mine slides out too which is why one of the things I say to myself when I open one side, "never both". I've had it drop out when the mouthpiece hinge was open and I turned it over to fill or clean the oven.

(I assume by "oven slides right off" you are talking about the flavor chamber or its top and not the actual part that heats.)

Yeah. Sorry :doh: , the flavour chamber is the one doing the sliding....

Hello all, new to FC
Just purchased my IQ 2 weeks ago
This is my first vape and i usually like to get really stoned
Ive noticed i get a mild body high that is nice
Usual temp is 375-395 F
Do you guys ever dump out your bowl midway and re pack it or shuffle the herb with the stick?
is it better to pack the bowl and vape it until its fully brown then dump it out?
Thanks

I have not noticed the need to stir this vape. For me using a profile with the last minute or so quite hot it seems to vape everything to a pretty good brown.

I generally don't stir either. But, I did have one very sticky batch and I found I did not get much vapor from it even though I got more when using other tools. I'd pop open the oven and, somehow, a lattice "plug" formed and all that I had put in seemed like a single thing. When I'd stir after a few pulls, it broke down the plug and vapor would form as I would have otherwise expected.

Like the 2 previous responses, I also do not stir with this vape, due to the tightness of packing, combined with the ball that "super-tamps" the herb down for you.
Convection vaping does benefit from a stir or two....
Conduction vaping usually cooks the herb all the way through, and most times does not need a stir.

I only get 10 good hits, then even when i raise the temp to 400 it produces low vapor
I just tried the crafty and it produced much more vapor then the IQ ever has, twice as much
Is it a good option to try the mighty or crafty for bigger hits?
Im looking to get stoned not really low temp hits

First ever post in FC, been lurking for a long time though. I quit smoking tobacco with e-liquid vaping and decided to give this side of vaping a try and I'm glad I did. I have had 2 other portable vapes (Pax 2 and OG Firefly) and then I discovered DaVinci. Absolutely love it, it's small, it performs flawlessly, is efficient, and was worth every penny to me. Never have needed to stir my material, it always comes out a nice, consistent dark brown. That's a big plus for a portable vape. Pack it, vape it, dump it, and start again LOL!

10 to 15 good hits is a good percentage!
That number of hits should not be discounted!!

Really its around 10 max, but none of the hits produced comparable vapor to the crafty, the iq is very minimal in terms of thick smoke
I did notice that the crafty finished the bowl much faster then the iq

However I have a Crafty also, and the IQ meets it's vapor production evenly....
Though the crafty is convection, and the IQ conduction... so they should not be compared.
Nonetheless, other than the pure convection of the crafty, the IQ tastes and performs equally.

Hey all chiming in and hoping for some help. When the Iq 1st released i had a few problems with my Og unit but Davinci had taken care of my warranty issues and got a new Iq out my way. It has seen some use but is still like new, i do regular cleanings but recently ran into the weirdest issue and it will not stop happening. I am wondering if anyone else has had this is issue or if @Davinci_vaporizer may know what could be causing it. So mid way through a session now my lid will always pop open , it will not stay shut when this happens and its only happening mid way , once everything cools down it closes and is fine. I cleaned and inspected everything and just cannot figure it out. It is like the flavor chamber is starting to raise up causing the top with my Mouthpiece to pop open on its own and has become a problem for me. I even inspect everything after cleaning and it all looks fine. So if anyone at all can help out i'd really appreciate bc i happen to enjoy using this vape and traveling with it and now i cannot .

Make sure the magnet is in place well, and has not come loose.
The silicone seal that attaches to the mouthpiece can be problematic and not fully seated (especially right close to the hinge)... so check on that, then very carefully place the mouthpiece assembly back through the hole, and inspect visually and with touch whether the entire gasket is seated well in the "flip top".

Thank you Vitolo. That was the 1st thing i had done was check all gaskets and seals and even took a flashlight to the flavor chamber area with it out , than cleaned and reassembled. I don't see anything wrong. It could possibly be something to do with that rubber gasket below the flavor chamber between it and the oven as this only happens mid session when in use and the heat starts building up. Than all of a sudden the flavor chamber will pop up causing it to not seat back down fully until everything is cool again.

I somehow do not think it is the flavor chamber, unless the flavor chamber lid is not pushed in all the way.
The metal hook for the flavor chamber, sometimes also gets out of position and can block closure.
My unit has done this once or twice.... but each time I would adjust that black gasket carefully and it fixed it.
The way I fixed it was to reinstall the mouthpiece assembly, but carefully lay and tuck the gasket in at the inside (end with the little tabs) first... then once in place visually and by touch level and snug, I hold it in place and slowly tuck the rest of the gasket in moving toward the front.
Locally a couple of friends have had this issue too.
They used the same fix, and I am sad that the fix wont work for you....
It is a great little vape.
