Gah! So many choices. Someone tell me which cap I should buy. I'm so indecisive it's hurting my brain.

20mm Liger is Gordo riptide bubble cap or chadbro bubble cap or any china bubble cap if your going cheap.
30mm Liger is Wierdeer cap or chadbro V2 terp trunk

Got it. Wouldn't the Wierdeer hit the stem? Or is it not that deep?

The wierdeer cap shouldnt hit the air intake on the outside or inside of the bucket.

As for me, i ended up ordering the Gordo Riptide Bubble cap as i think i would prefer the restriction. I use a China bubble cap now and it has too much air flow i believe. And if it isnt enough air flow, ill grab the chadbro bubble cap then.

OMG, I just tried this using their own Tsunami flat tip standard dabber. I threaded it through the Wierdeer as shown, and did a dab with it that way. My one complaint with the 'deer was that the hits are a little airy, while still potent and large. The reason for this is now obvious, the air path is just too free for me. With the extra restriction offered by the dabber, I just took the fullest, most flavorful dab of my life.....and it was just some every day driver crumble. I will now hit my HTFSE, and sail off into la la land. Thanks for the post dude.

I dont suppose you could supply a pic of the CCA Dabber threaded through? I have not yet bought a wierdeer, but i LOVE the idea of dabbing and capping in one motion. I am just looking at my extra CCA dabber and cant seem to picture how that process would work with the shape of it compared to the HE

I'm using my CCA rainbow stinger dabber +finger saver, that I use as my main dab tool, with my Wierdeer cap and they work perfectly together. Plus, with the CCA dabber it can't fall all the way through the hole. The bottom hole on my cap is a little smaller than the top hole, so that's what holds it in the perfect position. I have no ideal of how consistent this might be from cap-to-cap...
I just put my dab on the dabber tip, set it in the Liger, and the dabber will lift up ~1/4" opening the air way and gravity keeps the tip in contact with the insert as you rotate the cap.

Just got my Wierdeer cap last week. The vaporization completeness of each dab is next level with this cap. I don't get any pooling with the dabs I take. Works great weather the air is restricted or not. Using it with the dabber through the center gives it just about the right level of restriction too.
I have had a couple of very minor spill overs of the dab going over the edge of the insert. But, not enough to cause my insert to get stuck. I can just see it through the sapphire, I'll take it apart to clean soon. I'm not sure exactly what might have caused it to do that, haven't really had it long enough yet. Also, it doesn't fully seal when angled much, but that doesn't seem to effect the function.

Wierdeer for both IMO

My only issue with using the wierdeer cap on the 20mm is that it falls off if you re holding your rig. Depending on which rig i use, i will hold it so it wont tip over with the heavy ass Ligers.

I ordered the Gordo bubble cap last night from bakebros as they had one in stock and i was not going to drive through LA traffic to pick it up. I just hope its as good as the wierdeer cap is for the 30mm.

I have both Gordo and the Chad Bro bubble. The Gordo is cooler in pretty much every way, except in the one that matters most... function. The Chad Bro bubble, though cheap and simple, creates a MUCH better seal on the 20mm than the Gordo. I've dropped my Chad Bro bubble a ton and they are resilient little bastards. I love the Gordo, especially for for traditional quartz nails, but it's shape doesn't create the greatest seal on the 20mm.

As for the 30mm, the Weirdeer cap is the best BY FAR. The function on it is incredible. I love CCA, but their strength is definitely not in their caps. I haven't used any of mine in over a year.
I use a Chad Bro bubble cap and love it on my 20 mm V2. I have a bunch of caps that I have tried....most work ok, the Chad Bros works perfectly for my purposes.

Cheers

P.S. - Ooops, I take it back....I do have a Chad Bros bubble (and it works great) but the one that I use most often is this....the Bubble Star XL and I like this cap for a 20 mm Liger a LOT.

Hey everyone, I have enlisted the help of a local glass blower to make some very reasonable no nipple bubble caps for the 30 mm. He sold me mine for 25, and it it very good. If anyone is interested in this science experiment we have going on (he is gonna blow a few more for me, as we are working to get it just right) just reply. I am super excited that he is taking the time to design the cap with me to fit my needs. So far we have the air flow down and it's down to subtle bubble shape and getting the hole positioned.

Any update on this @sarkunit? Any pics?

Ah, I had forgotten. The Wierdeer is working well, and I have been using it too much under the excuse that I am "dialing it in"

That's how it works, and let me tell you, it's the best thing since sliced bread. I cap and dab in one motion, no lost terps, full vaporization in 1 and a half hits with a .1 load. Great taste every time. I am so pleased with this setup. (not sure if the pic is showing right, I uploaded it to imgur and inserted the link, so I am not sure whats wrong)

Image didn't work :( also, are you describing the Weirdeer or the custom bubble? How would you compare the two?

I think he is saying he forgot about the custom glass blower as he is loving the wierdeer cap. It is the cap to get for the 30mm. That is if you want to shell out $75.

Someone else mentioned another glass blower that did a cap similar to wierdeer cap not long ago.

....yep, and it should have an increased performance, I think it was the modificated air intake as far as I remember.

If you have a wierdeer cap try threading the needle technique. I use a HE flat dabber and leave it in the carb cab throughout the whole hit.

https://highlyeducatedti.com/products/dabbers
Arent u scratching the shit out of the insert with the dabber when ur spinning the cap for airflow? Im guessing u would leave the dabber in for the restricted airflow or do u pull it out to bit so its not touching the dish after the dab drops in?

Here is another try at the pic
AF1QipOvlbBCIjbNRlEMGJ-UkjnpesppobKzjjvTcyh0
. If I am correct Ti cannot scratch something as hard as SiC or the Obsidian insert. I cannot see any scratches, and would not be too concerned if I did, because this baby was born to die ( gonna get heavy use for, like, forever). It might, however, and if that is your concern don't do it. For me it was the end game for dabs in my opinion. I get clouds of such epic thickness that they choke me even though they are cool and mellow, and it nearly carbonizes a .1 in one and a half hits. I have reduced my temp to 600 flat on a high five (570 natural) and I consider that to be high temp for the setup. The Weirdeer and custom bubble work very much the same, because in the end they ARE the same. Same airflow, a perfectly spherical interface, directional, and the dabber trick works on both. I actually think this cap/dab set up should be industry standard. It is that good. (also, posted this image using google photos, and it didn't work. could someone help me along with posting pics, I am doing something wrong. I am trying to use the imbed pic link and then inserting the URL.)

@sarkunit you need to upload your images to Imgur or a picture hosting service if you aren't doing that. On Imgur, when you view your picture, there are various links shown to the right on the screen. The easiest way is to copy what's shown in the "BBC Code" box and paste it directly into the body of your message.

@sarkunit If it really is that similar, I would like to get in contact with that blower. Does the opening on that one go into the bucket at all or is there no protrusion? If there's no protrusion, what makes it different from the Hurricane cap other than being able to plug the air intake? Also, the image didn't work again. You may as well just post the link without the img tags

Here is a link to the pic, it is all that I can get working https://imgur.com/a/N8J1M. The custom bubble aims downward, so that is a big difference between it and the Hurricane. The custom bubble has a small air hole too, so you can't thread the CCA dabber through it ( I use a thin TI dabber I picked up from the local headshop for that). The custom bubble is nice because the guy makes the air hole the size you want it, so it doesn't need further restriction to fit my tastes. I use the Wierdeer cap mostly though, because of the guys skill in glass blowing. It is just a tad more spherical, the flow is just a bit more perfect, and it just "looks" better together with the CCA flat tip standard. The bubble now rides my quav, scratching that itch I get for a torch dab ever so often.

Isn't that picture of the Weirdeer? Do you have a picture for the custom cap that you had commissioned? Can you send me (or include in your reply) information to contact the blower?

embedding sarkunit's pic for him. thanks man, this really helps a lot! I was picturing it threading through in the other direction somehow. Welp, looks like it is time for yet another cap
