How can you have a proper backup vape when you got the Mighty?

I feel like only a butane vape or pure convection vape is an upgrade/alternative. Maybe better get a 2nd Mighty haha

I quit cigs about 7 years ago with eliquid and have some equipment there...not sure how well some of it crosses over but I did buy some adapters and whatnot as well just in case. I'll leave the discussion of the other vapes for another thread.

This device excites me so much! I really like the medical grade stuff .. I don't have any medical issues right now, thank God, but I am a little sensitive to 'plastic-y' smells. I recently bought one of those Purple pillows to try it out and nearly lost my lunch when I smelled it.

Mighty has slight plastic taste when new, but don't worry, it goes away very quickly.

Luckily Ive found I can satisfy my VAS with cheap butane vapes (vaponic vapocane vapcap)

I use the mighty as performance benchmark

it gives me the confidence to decide how well my new cheap butane vape works

I love Fedex, btw. It came with full bars on charge, but I did do a 15 min burn-in. I charged it for another hour after that and have just had my first cartridge or whatever those metal things are called and on to my second. I was going to try and figure out how much I'm vaping and how many hits and stuff, but I'm flowered up off my butt ... thank God the staff meeting is over

So far, loving it... must get used to it, but if it can keep going as well as the first capsule or two then I definitely have fucked combustion.

If you can completely avoid combustion for, like, a couple of weeks, you may come to realize a new/different appreciation for the effects of the flower. You may also notice, if you do try combustion again, just how awful that tastes.

I had thought about buying a Mighty back in June, but ended up going with the Pax 2. I enjoyed the Pax for 5-6 months, but eventually became concerned about the safety. (Worried about the heating element heating internal parts and releasing toxic/cancerous/synthetic vapors. And about the half pack oven lid in the heating chamber doing the same thing)

Anyway, I had stopped using the Pax because of these concerns. I thought I would buy a better vape and figured it would be safer. I saved up the $400-$500 needed for the Mighty, but never bought it.

I would love to buy the Mighty and after extensive research back in May/June, I determined it was the best option for portable vapes. But I am worried about the heating element and heating chamber, what they're made of, and if they are releasing any toxic vapors. I ended up with the same concerns about the Mighty that I had about the Pax 2.

This is the most important requirement for me when buying a vape. I only want to inhale my medication, nothing else. I want the safest vape, safe materials, etc. Then I want good taste, vapor quality, battery life, etc.


If anyone has any input on this matter, that would be awesome and I'd greatly appreciate it!

The Mighty Medic, virtually identical to the Mighty, is the only vape in Europe that is certified for medical use, and that says a lot in its' favor.

I have never heard of the Mighty Medic. I unfortunately cannot access the Mighty Medic part of the Storz and Bickel website. It appears to be only available in Europe. I would buy that if I could. Seems to be just what I am looking for. Any way to get it to the US?

I looked at this a lot. The heating element and materials used between the two devices are the same. Some tolerances of the device were tweaked to meet gov't regulations, but the manufacturing process and most of the parts/source materials are the same...ie regular one is 'safer' than average though not gov't certified, which means little to me anyway.

I mentioned before I quit cigs years ago with eLiquid, know that there are some of the same issues with kanthal and other wire alloys, etc. In the end, it's a fraction as dangerous as combusting on a regular basis.

Final note, broke my unit in I think...about 4 sessions today, between sessions right now but it' totally incredible. I am experiencing a different kind of effect, not sure what to make of it, but the stoopid still comes out.

I only wish I could get my particular preferred flower, my locality is way behind the times as far as the flower topic goes

i think you are on the safe side with the Mighty. I am from germany and the Storz&Bickel Vaporizers are all checked by the TÜV, a rather strict inspection authority, no other Vaporizers got that seal here. In the case of the Mighty there is this "Mighty Medic" Version which is identical to the normal Mighty. It`s only named Medic so that if you are prescribed Marijuana you can go to the insurance and try if they are paying the device. i don´t think you can get this device other than with a prescription, as it´s only meant for patients.

Anyways as i lurked this forums before buying my Mighty i finally got it yesterday and i am really really impressed.. i have a Plenty and the Mighty is nearly on par with the Plenty, but smaller and without a cord. I also have an Extreme Q and i would say that one is by far the weakest of the three....Extreme Q elbow packed or not is at least for me a really light high, the Plenty blows this one out of the water, as the Mighty..

I smoked Bong for 20 years and changed to vaping at the end of last year. With the Mighty it´s really convenient to vape in between as you aren`t required to have a power socket nearby.. and the effects are tremendously good with the Mighty, if i want to get baked i vape 2 capsules back to back, that gets me high enough. i am really impressed by this little device, never thought it would be so powerful. As a former Bong user i really recommend the Mighty and its thick clouds, it really is a beast

Yep, as @WakeVape&Bake said the Medic ist just the same as the "regular" Mighty aside of the printed "Medic". But it's nearly 100 € more expensive just because of it's certification as a medical device - and the possibiliy of getting paid it by your health insurance in Germany if descripted.

Those are the two that have really sold me on vaporizing vs. combustion as their vapor tastes best, smells best, and hits the hardest of anything I've tried. YMMV but that has been my experience.

Those are the two that have really sold me on vaporizing vs. combustion as their vapor tastes best, smells best, and hits the hardest of anything I've tried. YMMV but that has been my experience.

Love 'em both (Mi - VC), but the way I use them all, I don't think any of those three hit "harder" than the others .

I do think they hit differently. Not counting combustion accidents, my Mighty is the only one that I need to make sure I finish a hit with fresh air because it can send me into coughing fits. The VC's chamber is too small for that and my Mi's I'm not generally pushing that hard to extract.

First post in a long time here, hello everyone. Just wanted to let you know that I received yesterday my Mighty in Canada, ordered from S&B website this past week-end, and I was very happy to receive it in the new white box, with the sticker "20% more battery power". So it seems they are now distributed (or at least beginning to be) in North America !

I wrote it a couple of posts ago that the Mighty has got the German TÜV seal, which is a seal from a really strict national authority. Besides I am not quite sure about the world wide status but afaik the Mighty is the only officially acknowledged medical vaporizer in Europe. Regarding the current medical knowledge there is nothing harmful on the Mighty.

Btw I am absolutely 100% sure, that some dude already has asked S&B about the differences between the Mighty Medic and the Mighty and they stated that there are no technical differences at all, one just got a seal and the others do not.

Thanks for the information everyone. I am happy to hear that the Mighty is virtually identical to the Medic. Even better it is the only one certified for medical use. I will likely end up buying a Mighty, unless I find something better, safer, etc.

I am interested in the Milaana as well now. I have heard good things about the E-Nano too. I am not sure what to think of the VapCap, I know its a little metal piece and you heat it with a butane torch, but that's about it. I have tried the MFLB a few times and always heard good things about that too.
I am definitely in search of the safest vape on the market, with great taste, quality, battery life, etc. The Volcano (also medical certified I believe) would be great, but I am in search of something a bit more transportable so the Mighty is a good option.

If anyone has any vape recommendations or additional info, that would be sweet.

Just portables?

The Mi is a good device for sure but I would go with the new Splinter cause of it's temp control and - after all I've heard - a better performance.

The Venus Apollo is powered by halogen and it's a portable beast.

Perhaps take a look at the Tubo Evic too.

If you are looking for torchables give the Sticky Brick (Junior) or the VC a try - the first one is better on flavour the latter on efx.

A bit more risky and not so handy is the really superb butane powered Supreme V 3. Performance and flavour is top notch. And regarding size and weight a device for on the go (to safe places where you can use it)

I am not sure what to think of the VapCap, I know its a little metal piece and you heat it with a butane torch, but that's about it. I have tried the MFLB a few times and always heard good things about that too.

VapCap is very cool, but very 'hands on' - lots of technique involved. it also needs a torch (unless you get the induction heater thing), which makes it pretty conspicuous in public. easy to combust, and the tip gets very hot - spacing out can be a problem with this one... people who miss the whole flame ritual (pipes and bongs) like VCs.

MFLB is a great device, but also pretty demanding: you have to shake it every hit. this means that each hit tastes a little less good - and to truly finish a load means re-vaping the already-vaped bits along with the not-yet-vaped specks, i.e. not tasty!

mighty: easy to use, great flavor, no technique required, no stirring needed.

I have all three. I never use the MFLB anymore, only use the VC for hard hash (mighty's one weak spot: it doesn't get hot enough for this, although it's fine with bubble hash). mighty's my go-to.

Sent it in for repair and to my surprise I was informed that even though my warranty was up Storz & Bickel would sent me and updated crafty for free or I could upgrade to a updated mighty for $59 bucks. I was thrilled, needless to say my new mighty is on its way. They’re phenomenal customer service saved me close to $300. They might be slow with emails and tough to get a hold of when you call, but they alway call you back in a few days and resolve all of my issues. I really appreciated the kind gesture Storz & Bickel!

I agree with that. I sent mine in under warranty with a minor issue and also got a new mighty sent back.

But consider that we spend around $500 on these devices. Compare that to a play station console, those are gonna last a lifetime, and so should these crafty/mighty imo, or at least 3-4 years. Thats probably why they take such good care of us.

I still wonder what their cost is per unit.

Playstation lasts a lifetime? .-) i am on my second Playstation 4, first one broke after 2 Years and Sony gives you 1 year warranty. So you get nothing after this first year if your playstation breaks.

And i don`t really know if you can compare a vaporizer to a game console...vastly different devices

but i can`t say anything to Storz&Bickels Customer Service as i never had to deal with them..Plenty is running and my Mighty too new for any problems i guess
