Milaana Back Up

So I'm looking for a back up to my Milaana. It's in the shop for warranty and it's absence has left a serious void.

Started the search on a butane alternative but wanted to ask about it's wood brothers. Would love to hear how the Mistvape Touch compares or if searching for a used Firewood 4 makes sense? (I understand the 5 is coming out in the Spring.)

Do you think there'd be redundancy once my Mi is back or would one of these compliment nicely?

Truth be told I'd like to pull the trigger sooner than later as I currently don't have an on demand backup. Thanks!

Edit: I understand the Tubo would make a lot of sense but that looks to be about 4 weeks? Probably should still check that out though.

Contact @funkyjunky (from Tubo) via pm and see what is available now. There is usually some units ready or almost ready.

I just got a Sticky Bricks Junior. I'm so amazed by it I've immediately ordered the OG Sticky Brick.

These are all wood butane torch powered vapes, both of mine will be beautiful walnut.

They say these are for experienced vapers, there's a steep learning curve etc. I didn't find this so at all. If ypu are a former smoker you can just tell when it's getting too hot, so you back off the lighter. I found it completely intuitive, and was producing big clouds of vapour straight way.

You're only variables are the heat, and the speed of your intake. You get these right, you get immense clouds of creamy vapour. If you get it wrong, either you gt no vapour, or you combust. I've combusted about three times, out of dozens, and it's no big deal, just a waste of a bowl. I didn;t even clean it, and the burnt taste went really quickly.

Couple that with the idea that this should last for ever, it is beautiful, and it is a hand made product, and you have something well worth the outlay.

It gives the best flavour I've ever had, and is very conservative with your weed. Loads of videos on Youtube, check it out.

cheers, John

I just bought a lotus (25% off run out sale) and am very surprised to find that it has a very similar vape signature to the Milaana.
Up until then I had found the Milaana unique in this area (I find tube and Milaana completely different in regards to Vape signature.)

Thanks. Is Lotus still running the sale?

The manufacturer announced In the lotus thread that the sale is until all old stock cleared, so I assume so.

I have 3 Milaanas. But at this point they back up my iheat, so there's that.

If you're going butaine, I suggest Lotus. Super powerful convection with absolutely PHENOMINAL taste.

The FW4 is a VERY different user experience from the Mi. Vibration based interface with multiple heat levels that you can customize. While the Mi is about holding the button and manually controlling your experience, the FW4 is about regulated consistency. It produces great vapor but is very different to operate. You basically navigate a menu without any screens by pressing a button and counting vibrations, which sounds more complicated than it is. You hold down the button to turn it on, then tap 1-4 times to pick a power level. Then you inhale, but you have to inhale at a consistent rate at a certain speed to get good results.

It's really a lot easier to use than it sounds but again, very different experience. The capsule system is great though and really makes changing bowls on the go effortless and discreet.

I have several butane vapes but have too much trouble with lighters to use them regularly. I use the tubo, mistvape, and milaana as my daily vapes and use them interchangeably.
I think this will change as I'm just beginning to use the splinter and suspect that may replace a couple of the others.

I'd suggest the Splinter, although there is a wait currently.

I also think everyone should own a vapcap. Affordable, portable, quick, heavy hitting vapor signature. The M is a fantastic entry level vapcap

I notice someone else mentioned the Lotus. It's made me put down my Sticky Brick and get out my Lotus, just to make sure I'm giving you good advice.
I also looked on Vapefiend, they have all the necessary bits and pieces, for the standard unit, it's £98.
All I can really say about the performance is, yabbadabbazongo.....

ps. I think this thing has been out a few years, and in many ways it is still one of the best, there is no "knack", no "aha!" moment. You just get it out of the box, and in minutes you're producing huge clouds. In many ways it is easier than this years new wave of butane vapes.
