@Sensibc i'm currently a big fan of the ceramic donut type heater. I'm using a different one, but W9 has similar units. (it is considered poor form recommend another brand in a brand specific thread)

i like these a lot more than the exposed wire coil type heaters. Its almost as good as the ceramic rod heater.

also, once i got past my fear of programming temperature controls, I've never tasted scorched oils again. Less of a learning curve, it just works.

but if you really want the Herc, i would grab that older one and adapters to fit your power. i've used a ton a portable oil vapes, and nothing matched the Herc for vapor production (when its running well).

WE have the Kiss AC v3 or if you want to wait 2 more months we will have the Triton, as for the hercules try puffitup.com as well as they might have the 510 version.
Unfortunately I don't see the Hercules listed there at all, unless I missed it, and am not particularly interested in the kiss style carts. Unfamiliar with the Triton but am interested in seeing and hearing more.

Is the Hercules out of production or are you unwilling/unable to ship it to Canada for some reason?

Thanks again for the insight, I'll explore some donut based options as well. I shy away from anything pen styled, so I'll have to see what's out there these days I guess.

The Triton is supposed to be released in March according to G's last update. I asked W9 support about the link and they said its not available and couldn't advise of when it would be available. The link has also been changed to require certain permissions last I checked.

That link is outdated and will be updated with new information. it was only a place holder.

Is there no more persei? I wanted to send my 601 version in for an upgrade but not see the option anymore. Also still holding onto my V1 Iris. Any idea on when an update will happen. Sucks that I use a Chinese box mod because my iris is 601

The new set-up with the tesla stealth x herc x nibbler xl hits nice. But I am drawing a lot of splatter oil up in the dome of the nibbler, much more than I was ever getting with a persei top. I have to clean the nibbler after every load. It gets filthy immediately. I’m running it at 30-35w. Am I doing something wrong?

What temperature are you running at?

I select the "ti" option and then set the wattage to anywhere between 30-35w. The temp is between 300-450, depending on how long I hold the button for.

Try to increase the temperature to around 500-550 see if this causes less. From the sound of things it seems like its cooling down to fast so increasing the temperature will keep it in its vapor state a bit longer.

I’ve adjusted the temp settings up to 550 and I can’t get it above 350 now. Can you just please release the new persei so I don’t have to deal with these inferior products?

Well, another button assembly ruined. I fail to understand howpeople have managed to fuck 4 button housings but at this point its pretty obvious its an issue with the product itself and im sick of having to fiddle with a thing nearly every time i want to use it. Even on the working one after just a few days of VERY CAREFUL AND LIGHTLY PRESSURED button presses the contact has worked itself far enough foward that it will no longer fire until i readjust it. Brand new unit otherwise.

This is literally after a week of taking it out of the package and specifically making an effort to avoid this exaxt problem.

Im done with the 8, ill sell my "working " one and just trash the other, its no longer worth the time .

So are there any solid quick VV or temp controllwd cloud producers i can use my sr71 and my AC3 on? At this point ive got half a mind to just dump all my w9 gear and get a cheap disposable, i no longer need a pen as a daily driver and its a lot of shiny expensive stuff thatll never do more than collect dust. Okeanos is basically a $100 paperweight on any configuration other than 2x18350 that ive seen so far. Ive easily spent 2 grand on w9 gear and have had to throw away at least half of that due to shit shorting out or burning up or this or that other problem, and ive pretty much lost total faith in the brand outside of the hercules and AC coils

Sigh

Fwiw I have a Wismec RX200 which I use with my herc. It's a triple 18650 mod with adjustable tcr, is available dirt cheap, and works very well. Some may argue it is too big, but I carry two of them because I don't wear bitchass skinny jeans.

I use a TCR of 138, temp set to 420f, wattage at 24.6. Flavor is unparalleled, no scorching, and less likely to dump everything to the claim chamber than running in straight wattage mode. It does wattage mode fine though, if that is your preference.

cool thankks ill check it out. at this point i just want a device that will actually work consistently without needing to be screwed around with for 10 minutes literally every time i touch it. hopefully someone out there will have enough interest in this crap that I can recoup some small amount of the cash ive wasted

Here is a link to pics of my W9tech 8/Persei hiking stick. It is an upgraded brushed stainless 8 with several Persei tubes threaded together. The bottom cap is threaded in the two existing holes for track shoe spikes for traction and has a shorty tube with a rubber end for solid surfaces. The bottom part of the tubes are covered with industrial heat shrink tubing. It uses two 18650’s to fire the .8 Ohm rod in an SR71. It hits like a dab rig. Under the batteries is a compartment to hide the Hercules inside. There are spring loaded battery bottoms in place to hold the Herc secure so it doesn’t rattle.
It is accompanied by a vape survival kit that includes the Core, Okeanos, Bender, a spare Herc, Iris, Hammer top and more all in a waterproof steel first aid kit box.

Probably the most expensive to go vape kit out there but it covers it all and doubles as a useful hiking stick.

What do ya think?
