Every vape I’ve ever had in this price range has it. It sometimes has taken more than 1-2 OZs to get rid of it.

I can confirm the slight robot fart smell of both the Fenix Mini and the Fury 2.
But that smell was NOTHING compared to most other vapes in that price category and it was gone very, very quickly. I still love my Furix (Fenix Mini and Fury 2) a lot. It's my go-to device everyday at lunch time, when I am out with the dog.

I actually just got a warranty replacement Fury 2 because mine had an increasingly worse robot fart smell. Well, I got the new unit and it smelled fine from the get go, not even any factory smell from the start surprisingly. But the more I use it the worse the robot smell gets. I actually had a bowl packed in it last night and unpacked the bowl and loaded it in a different vape because the smell was so strong as it was heating up.

Going to do a few burn offs later and see if anything changes. Healthy Rips said they smelled what I smelled when they received my old unit but they weren't sure what it was. Said their engineers would tear it apart and inspect it to see what was causing the smell.

I have been using my fury 2 daily for a very long time now and I can say without hesitation I have not and do not taste any kind of robot farts or any off taste at all.

I will admit I did get a slight silicone taste from the fury 1 and I disassembled it to eliminate the taste which I was able to do successfully but it was a bit of a process.

The Fury 2 has different silicone than the fury 1 and has been cleaned from the factory. The airpath is isolated completely as well.

I did a teardown of the fury 2 myself to see this, but @PuffItUp did a much more comprehensive teardown showing all the internals and isolated airpath.

Always swab the chamber with a ISO dipped Q-tip of any new vaporizer before you use it just in case there is any oil or residue from the factory in it.

IMHO the fury 2 is the vape to beat right now. It ticks all my boxes for an awesome portable and at an extremely fair price.
Just my :2c:

Smell seems to be getting slightly better after a few burnoffs. Weird that it didn't start smelling until after a few bowls for me.

I still think it's far from pure. Notably worse on initial heat up yes.

Only complaint I have with the vape is the flavor. But it's not so big of a deal I care anymore.

Although if the Fierce has that flavor like the Fury I don't I'll be able to stop mentioning.

Charging my new Fury 2 now, and by 10:00 a.m. will be convection vaping with this baby.
Well packed and well thought out, I have the glass stem and the wpa with it.
Upon opening the box, and taking a few dry hits with the unit fresh from box, I detect no unpleasant odor or flavor.
The odor in the box smelled like most new vaporizers when you open the box. It reminded me of the smell of the Volcano, when I opened the box for the first time.
Once my unit is at full charge I will see if I detect any unpleasant aroma.
To be honest, so many threads about so many new portables speak of robot farts, that I no longer pay attention or instantly get turned off to trying every new vape.
I am very anxious to try a new convection portable, and will have more to say in a couple of hours.

While I had a slight new silicone smell when I received the Fury2, I never experienced any "robot fart" smell or taste.

I rinsed the silicone parts before use under clean water from the sink and after the first or second use even that slight smell/taste was gone. Also did two 4 Minute burn-offs at max temp before the first use.

Maybe different production batches?

Loving the convection flavors of the Fury 2.
The box smelled like a new vaporizer box, but I tasted and smelled nothing unusual.
4 minutes is a short session, but to create enough heat for convection, I imagine a 4 minute timer was in place by manufacturer design.
No bad essence..
Great hits at 380º(F).
I also enjoy the red light that turns green when unit is at temp.
Handy if you step away and are watching from another area.
It heats up as fast as anyone could wish also.
Convection vapes develop a distinct aroma (it's a wonderful essence)
The silicone top that covers the unit, protects the screen from scratches, and also makes the
unit scent free.
Good job!

My Fury "Deaux" arrived today.....thanks gang its because of y'all....

Water filtrated, hits like a bazooka at times. Whammy.

Side note #1
I picked up the large wpa and i have a problem. It is way too loose, especially warmed up, i can hear air escaping from around the fury's bowl and not the intake.....it will basically drop in cold and wiggle like hell when warm...any ideas? I am hoping for a quick fix, but i may have to ask for another....No robot taste either, hee hee, fingers crossed....

I'd contact HR and ask for a replacement WPA if I were you. I can't think of any pretty fixes for that at all.

@potriot let me be the first (?) to welcome you to FC. There is a huge amount of information here. Need help, just ask and people will assist.

While waiting for the replacement, a few winds around from some Teflon tape should stop the wobble, and it is on the outside of the vapor path.

Mine is similar, but not quite as bad as yours. Once in it wobbles side to side. It does have resistance when inserted though, then once in it moves about. HR said it was normal. I have not checked for air getting by yet. I don't use the WPA much because it is a bit of a pain and it is so loose so I let it go with their explanation.

My WPA is an extremely tight fit. No wobble at all even when the unit gets warm. Sucks the tolerances on something like this have to be so tight, but the customer shouldn't be punished because of a bad design. Or because the glass blower they use didn't make the WPA's perfectly. I wouldn't be sasatisfied with a super wobbly or loose WPA personally, even if the company said it is normal.

@HealthyRips.com still releasing the quick load capsules for the fury 2?
Hi @Jah1975, We are in the final testing phase of the prototypes for the dosing capsules. This process takes a few weeks due to prototype testing and adjustments. They will look very similar to the Mighty dosing capsules - except the sides are a stainless steel screen mesh instead of solid ss.

We have gone through great lengths to ensure that the air and vapor paths are completely isolated and that the highest quality materials are used - please see the PIU teardown to see for yourself here: http://blog.puffitup.com/2018/01/fury-2-teardown-new-year-new-vape-destruction. If there is an initial smell upon heating the unit - it would be factory residue from the manufacturing process. A couple of 4 minute burn-offs at max temp (430F) and rinsing all of the removable parts with soap and water before use should eliminate any residue. All materials in the air and vapor paths are medical/food grade and inert.

@potriot @Dirtrider, We have had a few WPA's and glass mouthpieces that have been a bit loose. We have discussed this issue with our glass manufacturer and we have new batches of all the glass attachments in production right now. We have also replaced a handful of 'loose' glass attachments when we have been contacted by our clients.

If you have any issue - simply contact us at healthyrips@gmail.com - we have 100% client satisfaction. Of course we will take care of any and all issues. We even remedy "issues" when our team doesn't exactly agree are real "issues". We believe that the client is always right - even if we don't agree that there is an actual issue.

We love to serve our clients and we are fine with taking losses on some transactions - we believe that taking care of our clients is the absolute best long-term strategy for our reputation and the growth of our company.

We want nothing but the best for all of you :)

And that's exactly why my next vape will be purchased from you guys. Just waiting on Fierce news. I've always done business with the mentality that reputation and costumer satisfaction are much more valuable than quibbling over a few bucks here or there. I'm always happy to see businesses that get that and try to support it when I see it. Keep up the good work, guys.

When are you going to start a thread for the Fierce? A month ago you said you would have pictures up in a week. Is there any new information or pictures you can start a thread with yet?

Hi @nosmoking and FC community, We apologize for the delay in starting the FIERCE thread. We received the first FIERCE prototype two weeks ago for confirmation of the body design, OLED screen readout, replaceable battery, etc. This was not a working prototype as far as vaporization. We should be have our next prototype this week that is fully functional and 'photo-worthy' (early prototypes are not exceptionally aesthetically elegant). Please hang in there - we are working hard and fast - but we also want perfection :).

All the Best!
