MiniVAP Vaporizer

@FlyingLow @ataxian and @everyoneelse...I went back to Minivap to ask again about having the battery on the charger while running the unit and here's what I got:

"Basically there is no risk but when we went through the CE certification they didn't test that specific case: vaporizer ON + battery charging."

So the advice to not charge while using was a technicality due to CE testing. From a practical standpoint this is the first I've heard that it's okay, so carry on! Thanks to @FlyingLow for pushing that so we get the best info possible!
I don't know anything!

WATER path?

I had my first session of CANNABIS after espresso DRY in a MINI VAP! (GSC)

Smooth + Delicious + DRY? = CIVILIZED

FLAME

I know it's only a few day'z of HONEYMOON, however the FLAVOR DRY is better than WET. (4 NOW)

Go DOWN the FREEWAY in a BENZ - do it in a PINTO = BIG DIFFERENCE

The MINI VAP was QUALITY DRIVEN!

Nice minivap!
Hands down, this vape produces the best flavor in my arsenal, and the effects are excellent. I have the older Teflon core , I use it dry usually, I start on the Purple setting and finish on Green.

Enjoy Ataxian

The GREEN setting seem's to work well for me?

Is that right?

The FLAVOR is outstanding on the MINI VAP

Almost there...

My usual technique is this:
Set MV to GREEN and allow to heat up till solid, then lower one heat setting to BLURPLE.
When solid i take a few dry inhales with the top off to warm the top of the chamber.
Attach the lid and enjoy!
The flavor is amazing and when done bump it up to GREEN and finish it off!

I have owned more vaporizer's than I have confessed.

I stayed away form high end unit's because they seem out right Gimmicks?

This MINI VAP is in my rotation many times during waking hour's!

Normally I'm WATER WORLD most session.
DRY is so SWEET I don't want to change my setup?

LOVE this thing!

SWEET/LOW TEMP/BLING/BLING/CIVILIZED/OPULENT/SESSION/LEGAL/MUST

VAPING is the FUTURE & the FUTURE is NOW!

MINI VAP only if CANNABIS is part of your life?

There are many many ways to use it, with many different temps.

Here's one to try when you get a really nice lemony strain.... not a daily driver technique:
After you get a Delta 3D Song that snaps onto the lid, THEN you can drop a nice long OGB glass mouthpiece on.

Load up the lemon goodness, set temp to plurple (#2), let come up to temp. Then drop temp down to blue (#1) and inhale thru that almost all glass path. You'll get a wonderful lemony hit like you've never tasted before-- a wispy lemondrop. After a couple hits, bump back up to plurple and to green.
I almost never go this low BUT try it for grins :)

Thanks Sticks for confirming I am not ruining my MV!
I always charge while warming up with the hopes I get more battery life when out and about.
.............................................................................................
Could you possibly explain a little more why you charge AND run it at the same time?? Thanks, trying to understand why.
Is it so it gets up to temp AND the battery is then not at all depleted from one heat-up??

I use another technique when I want to leave with battery full and unit hot:
- heat up to temp with the AC puck and then change to battery, takes like 3 seconds. That's one of the
nice things about having battery and AC options!

Even though Hermes indicated charging AND heating won't wreck it, that is still a poor practice for
battery longevity. It's not going to wreck the battery but will likely shorten battery life "a little".
Note that for me, that matters. For many others it may not be of any concern.

FlyingLow

Team NO SLEEP!
That is exactly my purpose. So when I pull off, I am hot and still topped off on the battery. :D

I have the puck too, but never use it. The convenience of the full portable is difficult to get away from.

I did buy a Ghost as well, and I find it compliments the MV well- it does not replace it.
Ghost is brilliant for full immediate extraction in just a few pulls.
MV is a session piece, or just when I have the extra time to enjoy.

Both serve their purpose well.

So level green is not good?

I can only get about 100 different strains delivered to my front door?

I think they might have some kind of lemon strain? (I'll see if I can get some)

DOS SIDOS and BLUEBERRY MUFFIN is all I have right now? (GSC out after 420?)
They taste great in the MINI VAP?

2 week's I'll be out.

I will ask them to get a strain with LEMON? (I don't have seed's with that flavor?)

Tonight I had some ROSIN in my MOD & TANK. (next time I want to try the wax mesh on the MV)
It was a easy to get type (GDP)?

I mostly MEDICATE in my backyard garden.
Plug is fine for me.
Is the light's purpose to turn on when I plug it into the unit? (adapter)

So level green is not good?
..................................................
Green temp (level 3) is great and I usually start there for daily driver sessions.
But, once in awhile, starting at level 1 or 2 for a pure/true taste sensation should be enjoyed. The vapor
is almost a blue-white color, vape it where you can see the vapor in the sun.
You'll get a lemony hit like the breeze wafted over a box of lemon drops to enjoy.

Green temp is great, for fuller type robust vapor.
And red temp with water, can't be beat for high temp extraction with full flavor that never seems to go
beyond "meh flavor" when hitting at end--- it never goes to burnt popcorn flavor.

And check your ABV-- even when hit repeatedly at red (445 F) the ABV color only goes to consistent deep brown :)
MANY other vapes that max at 410 F have ABV that is multi-colored and usually with charred edges :(

My ABV is brown to tan all the duff,
I throw my ABV in the planter bed of my garden?

The MINI VAP taste very amazing!

I will play with the PLUG tomorrow?

In search of the best terps and smoothest vapor
The MV is a flavor master. I especially like it for all of the citrusy strains I get. Tang Haze is amazing in the MV. Different vapes bring out the flavors of different strains in slightly different ways.

I am a red session kind of guy. ABV goes into the Herbalizer for an extra buzz and a half.
Congrats on your new vape. I followed the advice of many here and use the mv with no basket and just load it up. Works great.
I just had BLUEBERRY MUFFIN NUGGET (HUGE)

Used the PLUG-IN on the MINI VAP.

It's like a FINE COLLECTIBLE CAR (AUTO-MOBIL)

VERY IMPRESSED = FLAVOR = CIVILIZED = HOLY GRAIL DEVICE

I love the MINI VAP! (it's a FLAVOR MACHINE) POV

GREEN LIGHT seem's to be the SWEET SPOT for me? (4 now)

No COUGH?

I remember discussing the MV with you many years ago, when I received my original silver Teflon unit. I think you were still ininove with your Cloud back then!

Great to see you are finally in Flavor Country finally!!!
It is my wife's favorite vape of mine!
I have a few vaporizers, however: FLAVOR
The MINIVAP has that on A level beyond desert!

Well I took the liberty of making a summarised translation of the video from ExpoGrow 2017 featuring Jorge, the inventor of MiniVap a few pages back on this thread. I did it ages ago but haven't had much time to login lately...

I thought it'd be interesting because they talk about the most advanced research that has been carried out recently, and how the MV may develop in the near future.

-First they give an explanation of the basics of vaporisation for people that are unfamiliar with it.

-Then comes an explanation of the Minivap, bear in mind it is a chat not a presentation, so some things aren't too fleshed out and these are his own words:

-Users demands:
Reduced size for recreational users is the main demand.
Miniaturization chimes into reducing the size of the device.
[N.B. These are the aspects I think they're working on.]

-Future developments
For therapeutic patients certain features would be available: knowledge of the volume AND
regulation of vapor flow. Accurate dosing, thanks to e-logs, for doctors to keep track of the consumption rate and its patterns. The idea is to adapt the device to the user's life habits.
Internet of things. Graphic display when in use. For recreational users it would translate into having
an increased respect for the plant, and to help those users understand its own relation with the plant on a daily basis.
For therapeutic patients, it would give the doctor tools to understand how the patient medicates, and how the
body responds to those specific doses/cannabinoids, etc. In order to be able to establish an effective treatment.

-Vaping in public, legislation.

-Explanation of the market [I've met him in person and this is why this guy is so interesting to talk to! He gives you an insight into other less well-known aspects of the industry from an inside perspective which is very refreshing]:
When he started, he says there were only 3 EU manufacturers and 4 American. Now, even though companies range in the hundreds, there's only under TEN which are developing their OWN technology in regards to Temp control, propietary heater design, distinguishing between convection and conduction in their device.
There's a lot of copying and of copying that copy. A lot of low-cost options which have made the market expand.
Also due to more exposure, people are hearing more about it and it promotes the use of vapes, so market has changed a lot.

-Basic guidelines for choosing a vape?:
Quality, clean materials. Close technical service, EU manufacturers, or US ones with EU service. Price.
Starting low and going higher until you find your own.

"Selling sensations" is hard, unless youre a big brand, convince yourself. Buy a small bike and get a big one later.

Quality of materials regarding durability and longevity.

According to their tests, with MV dosage, exhalation equates to ~30% of the active principle inhaled.
In a 10m2 room for passive inhalators the dose is minimal. So the restriction of Cannabis vaporisers doesn't obey to rational or scientifical, but political and social conceptions.

These are the main themes I could gather. As i said, it is a conversation, so it kinda flows and sometimes there are more questions that arise than he's answered but since its an informal interview for the general public it isn't too deep in content.

@ataxian Glad you got an MV. Welcome to the flavor family! :D Your unit is TOO sexy btw! Its a really nice tone, very "fresh".
Did you get the Decarboxilation Kit, or are you considering it by any chance? Adds conduction and bigger clouds. My favorite setup! :luv:
I also vape dry with this one, @Roger D style, just with basket on top. Helps cool the vapor down whilst preserving flavor. Nice to milk a little bubbler for every inhale for dosing purposes.

As I was explained, flavor is SO unreal due to laminar airflow technology, which extracts like an expresso machine pretty much. It goes directly through the load and vapes very evenly as you can see, at any temp and any setup.

@ataxian I'm glad you're loving your MV! The flavor is hands down the best out of any vape on the market now.

Now if you want to get the absolute best flavor out of this thing, better than the stock mouthpiece, you need to get an adapter and a steamroller.
