But Titanium is more thermally conductive. It will draw heat faster. A plus for the short duration of a draw.

To oversimplify. If you like the SS tip for what it is, maybe the best choice is the standard M or SS condenser. The others who like the Ti's thermally conductive qualities might get a substantial upgrade. What material are the Omni condensers?

I think the "M" is perfect!

If it is perfect for you, then be happy. The vapcap is modular and can be specialized. If the need arises.

SO, could I pass on spending 9$ for an XL upgrade for one of my M's? Since it will have a spinning MP, I'll use it for anytime I need or want to slow heat the cap. Like say with a candle or bic or camp stove. Won't have to hold the M by the warmed up stem in the same manner. So the M body can afford to get a little warmer.

Ti condensers would be nice and I agree with @Boden. Less mass in the system would make the first pull more efficient and very possibly tastier. Less terpenes and actives should condense out due to the quicker heat up time.

thanks for the tips, I think you guys are right i was using too much heat, so much in so my lungs were really tight for a few hours, need that water filtration asap; this vapcap stuff is all new to me, I was using the vapman prior to this I might have to stick with it until the water. heat seems to irritate my lungs, have some sort of exercised induced asthma last i was told.

Because........ The original poster defined "fully - closed" as having the OmniVap condenser pushed so far in that it is unscrewed from the MP. That setup implies (to me at least) a gap which vapor would leak from...

The case is gun metal with Oak from the 1730's and turquoise inlay. 6.25"/162mm overall length, 7/8"/22mm OD. Internals are 3/4"/19mm ID and 5.7"/145mm.
Bottom row L-R. Zebrano, Hawaiian Koa and Bog Oak.
All are 14mm, have fixed full length condensers, Blackwood hot ends and metal accents. 2.8" long/72mm. No carbs.

I knew these would be a bit slower moving than stems but if I can sell them I will be able to get the CNC shop to run both the ideas I have with them.
It's 3 weeks before the first pieces will get made which gives me a bit of time to pull some more money in, it would be nice to place one larger order than two smaller ones.

It's the weekend folks have a great one where ever you are.

Thought the FS was for condensers only, did try to use code on other items but it was
not Honored, + mailing charge was added, not that I need another M, but M for 40$,
XL tip at 32$?

Anyway, an XL condenser kit for $9, no shipping is awesome.

I just got an interesting message . I bought 5 of the Aomai flintwheel lighters from an eBay seller in china 12 days ago . I got a message from them today saying that there was a fire in the Chinese post caused by their lighters and all of their inventory was confiscated . They gave me a refund and pulled all of their other items from eBay . I guess I will have to find them elsewhere . Too bad , I was gonna get 5 lighters for $16.50 ....

This pieces are really nice . The case is great too . Every time I watch your videos , it reminds me of the fog machines they use at concerts and haunted houses .

George did mention in one of the recent Dynavap Live videos that they were looking into making a larger capacity tip in the future. Sounded like it was tricky to get right. I'm guessing because whether it's longer or fatter, it's tough to design in such a way that the heat penetrates as evenly as it does with the current tip.

I used to go with carb closed and mouthpulls since i got my woody Ti. Three heats, three clicks and kaboom!! CIVILIZED! This week i wanted to try something different and i opened the carb. Now with the carb full open, i go with moto " keep calm and draw slow " till i hear the click and i manage to get 6-8 heat cycles heating just in the middle , with the first three cycles to be full of aroma and taste and a bit of visible cloud, and the rest with decent taste and good quality, visible vapor ! At the end i end up super CIVILIZED too, but i manage to enjoy my sessions even more. Who knows, maybe nexy week i ll try something different !! Such an amazing device, so many ways to get u CIVILIZED !! I love my vapcap !

For such a simple device they do offer the user myriad ways of enjoying the device. I got an Omni as my first vapcap a couple of months ago. And until this week I'd always left the carb wide open, covered the carb and did a couple of mouth pulls then feathered the carb to finish off the heating cycle. It worked great similar to your experience.

But I was in a lot of pain this week and made some changes. I closed the carb and started using a single flame torch to slow roast the lower third of the cap. And holy crap. I can only use my vapcap in this 'configuration' with a water pipe (without water). I won't use it like this all the time, but it's sure nice to know that when I need it, it delivers.

Just bought a bunch of DV parts to Lego-Ize my little collection. By this time next week I should have a nice Omni XL with a carbon stem, and an Omni Cocobolo Nonavong. I can't wait.

I'm so curious what "nonstandard"mp's are, can't wait to see the big surprise. I'll be very honest, these last few months I haven't been as enthusiastic about this thread as i was back last year. I miss looking at everyone's vapcaps and stashes and how they are enjoying them in real life. Since the release of the M and the new geometric omni the forum has been flooded with images of these instead. I like the metal vapcaps well enough but you seen one you seen them all, there's no uniqueness or variety to it. Hopefully dynavap will get back into the wood groove in 2018, been loving my vongs but I have both woods already so I don't see anything else that really appeals to me. I would love to see the BW ebony or some new wood types for sale.

Welcome to the (asthma) club! There are a few of us here. Water will make a difference. I definately prefer using mine with water. I mostly use a small water pipe without a ton of diffussion.

But even without water, once you get the heat cycle down your hits can be cooler, it takes practice. And each torch has different characteristics. So there is a learning curve. I like a two flame lighter, but truthfully mostly I use my induction heater from @Pipes. IH heaters are very consistant and really are a game changer.

Another way to get cooler hits is to use a mouth pull when taking a hit. You fill your mouth with vapor, then inhale. Your mouth cools the hits before it hits your windpipe. Again practice helps.

@Squiby likes to use a hemp fiber filter she sandwiches between screens. The "best of" thread has more details if you havn't been there yet.

The herb you use makes a difference too. Moister herb ground loose provide cooler hits than fine ground dry herb.

I'm sure you'll figure out a good technique. Quite a few of us asthma sufferers use their dynavaps daily.

@Summer, the higher overall smoothness of the chambers without the adjust-a-bowl grooves is relatively obvious, in my experience and perception. I definitely admit that the adjust-a-bowl feature can be an incredibly practical one, especially if a person has access to high-quality material (or concentrates) (or if one's supply is running out, has tolerance resensitization aspirations, etc); the smaller chamber also facilitates packing a load when pressing the tip into ground herbals. Since I have more than 1 ti tip, I'll definitely always be keeping at least one of them at 75 or 50 % capacity. Still, the fact remains that when using q-tips + ISO to clean the tip (not an ISO soaking enthusiast), extra steps/effort (albeit almost negligible!) are needed to really dig in and wipe all residue (or as much as possible) out of the grooves (a fair amount of pressure and friction could be required). Also I just tend to find the unloading action with the smooth chambers more direct, less fussy, in terms of crumbs sticking around and the ever so slight snagging of the digger-outer, but then again I do mainly use my Gen 5 ti tips regardless ! These are merely subtleties. (Also, you MIGHT have one of the newer ti tips where the groove cuts might be a little cleaner; you can visually compare my 2 Gen 5 tips.)

Also to @Summer, regarding your question about the aroma of Blackwood, as much as I love and admire wood, I am not an expert on it, so my opinion and perceptions to report aren't so certain. Whereas some woods like Cocobolo seem to have this exotic, more "pungent" (if it's the right word) aroma, (Ebony seems "nuttier", Walnut has this wonderful "sweetness") others like Maple tend to have that more "traditional", more subdued "woodiness" to their smell; I would put Blackwood close to Maple in this regard, oddly enough. Anyhow, the stems tend to soak enough heat over time that their essential oil aromas become less detectable with time. (Compound waxing/oiling the wood pieces to this.) Again, I'm not 100% on these points.

I ordered a Bocote Dynastash XL during the Black Friday sale and they've been out of stock for a while, so after a bit of discussion with Max at Dynavap, they managed to get me one of these babies! It even came with that wooden tool on the right side (titanium head, and a little magnet on the bottom).
