The boxmods are confusing to me. I'm considering getting the cuboid since it's in your tubox list. But I can't find a cuboid 150 or 200. Mainly I see the cuboid tap and no comparison with the 150s. Is it the same only with a different name and will it be compatible with the tubox.
I haven't tried my dual yet because I've been sick but I'm charging 2 batteries now to check it out.

Here is a link to a cuboid 200 at about $20. Just make sure they ship to your location.

Got my dual today. Very pleased. My single battery compartment got separated and will be here soon, but I REALLY prefer the way this cover piece attaches.

Also, in addition to the obvious longer battery life... this thing has a fuckin built in pick holder. BAM. AMAZING. @stickstones for PREZ.

Anyway. The tubo hexagon laser etching is neat as well. Same with the arrow indicator the battery compartment. I guess I got an early tubo afterall, and that poor little green guy is beat to shit, but this one is STELLAR looking. Sorry, I'll wait til tomorrow when I can get some natural light to take pics!

Wonderful performance too, of course :D

And my stand fits my d-cycler, which is very good. Will be great for enail stuff! Thanks tubo overlord @funkyjunky :bowdown::bowdown:

I've had my dual for a while but have been too sick to use it. So I charged my batteries and inserted them today to give it a try. But I can't get it to turn on at all. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or can do to get it going?

I found that inserting the two batteries was not quite enough to get it working. Once the Dual is "loaded" with fresh batteries you need to disconnect and reconnect the battery housing to get the Dual to work, IME.

So here's my report as I said a few posts earlier, hadn't the time until now.

I tried it through water, at default coil resistance .206 and later .209. I inhaled very slowly sometimes very long, sometimes short. Unfortunately charring was still there, at both coil resistances more or less the same. It wasn't as much as I had it before but still clearly visible in the center.
The only difference I noticed was that I got much more and much faster vapor at the higher resistance than the default one. I used both around the same temperatures but never went higher than 205 °C.
Both times I used the double basket screen packing method. Next time I'll try packing a bit more directly into the stem and closing it with just one basket screen - that's the way packing originally is supposed to be, right? Don't know what else I could change...

Another thing - I broke my bent stem :(. Are there any options to get a new one? It's available on @funkyjunky store but the shipping costs are higher than the stem itself (8$ stem + 9$ shipping). Are there any other options? Couldn't find anything on dhgate, maybe I don't have the right searching tags.

I've been using Ddave's stems instead of the ones that came with the tubo. They come with an inner screen and an outside basket and fit my whips well- also would work with water.

I have no suggestions for your charring- never had that problem. But I only put a tiny bit in the bowl so only draw a few times. If I kept doing that it would char.

I know this is a double post but need help with the Dual: (mod note: not any more)
The batteries work and I set the heat to 350F (can't figure out how to flip the screen). But no heat came out. I also tried cruise setting and even though time is passing still no heat. Is there some kind of long warm up that I'm missing?
Also not sure if the coil setting is correct. I think everything else is ok but I'm not sure. I don't really like playing with the menu. Are the dual settings the same as the solo ones?

To flip the screen, hold the + and - buttons for a few seconds while the device is OFF.

Your coil setting may be incorrect. I am not sure if @funkyjunky includes what he determines the default resistance for each tubo to be, like he did for the single-battery ones.

I ended up keeping my coil resistance stock actually, after initially thinking I needed to change it - perhaps you need to change yours?

I would maybe play around more, and if necessary increase resistance by .001 each time and give a little check. Make sure to keep that lock symbol next to the resistance when changing it.

I had the opposite issue with my Dual, in that it got TOO hot. I lowered the resistance setting, and it’s fine now. I do think you should try increasing resistance.
The menus are the same as the Tubo’s.

I had to flip the screen also, but I found the answer online; “Power off by hitting the button five times quickly. Hold down the 2 +/- buttons at the same time. This will flip the display rightside up or upside down. Then turn it on, and you’ll see that it’s flipped.

EDIT: I see that @muunch already replied. Faster typist, I guess. LOL

So @little maggie, do use the whip with those preloaded stems? I purchased the @DDave cooling wand but it came with a big crack in it. I didnt notice it for awhile so I didnt bother @DDave. I have been having really bad luck with glass recently.

If it still doesn’t heat up try using it in single battery configuration. That worked for me

Contact Ddave. I've never had anything break from him. The preloaded stems come in the pouch so they are protected that way. And yes I use them with my whip with all of my 18mm vapes. They work with water as well. I don't have a good bubbler for an 18mm vape of I would be using that. I prefer water but the whips help me avoid coughing.

@frosty234 how do you pack your stems?
Are you straw packing or loading it?

I'm sorry but I don't know what these expression exactly mean.
I used to use the double basket screen method like here https://i.imgur.com/p3Ad2MF.jpg. That's when I get the most charring.
Recently I've tried to back the herbs inside the stem between the normal screen (the one which is placed underneath the bulge by default) and capping the open stem with a basket screen. With this I get barely to no charring. But like this I'll have to use bigger loads I guess or there won't be much vapor at all.

Strange thing is that I've just my tubo with the double basket screen method for quite a while, at least 2 or 3 months, without getting any charring at all. Then some day I suddenly noticed some strong charring.

Is it possible the screen is fouled? Maybe that could explain sudden change from non-charring to charring.

does the vapor feel harsh with the wooden stem ?
what do u think of a glass 18/14 reducer and on it a 14mm wooden stem ?

I find that it can be harsher with a wooden stem bc it absorbs less heat than the glass stems, so more hot air, though it can condition the vapor a bit as well, which can make vapor smoother despite the heat. And i dont see why a reducer with 14mm wood stem wouldn't be fine

looking at your setup I would think the same thing as @sickmanfraud : maybe the screen itself is the culprit (if the screen is clogged)

And with the way your bottom screen is shaped, it looks like it would be prone to tunneling.

you can also just use the basket screen with no lid, you just have to brush out a few crumbs every now and then

straw packing is when you load the herb by inhaling through the stem vacuuming up the herb... V.S. stuff packing, by shoving buds in the basket.

the reason I asked that is because if the load is packed too tight it will char the bottom and the middle of it.

No the Vapor from a wood stem is not harsh at all, he can do an 18 to 14mm woodstem.

he also does glass lined stems as well...if you drop him an email, he can let you know about all the types! this is not my picture...but these are some stems he made

Those stems are actually mine!
They are Dark Walnut 18-14, glass-lined Tulipwood 14-14, and canarywood Milaana stem

I love Alan's stems- especially the glass and wood or glass and cork. He also made my long whip.
I've only used my dual a couple of times and I think it's working ok. But I'm not sure I like double battery vapes. That's why I use my tubo and milaanas more than the Zion.
I still prefer my original tubo.
