So maybe the carb as is set up is more efficient than if it was actually a "normal" carb as on a pipe?
I've always found this misnomer annoying because it leads to some confusion as to what is actually happening. The Air Hole in the VCs is much more like a REAL carburetor (mainstream cars don't use them anymore) that controls the mix of air and petrol, than the "carbs" in water pipes that are meant to evacuate air chambers at once rather than gradually. The tiny chamber that is the condenser holds almost nothing at any given time and doesn't need to be evacuated the way a chamber in a bong does.

Edit: Oy, correction

Digging your Silo sir.
Great Vapcap accessory.
Just spit balling, but any thought of offering a cap/lid for when one would just want to carry the vapcap. Adding a bit of modularity to your Silo.
Another member carries their silo sans stash, but the exposed threads would worry me as they could get damaged and then the stash would not thread on properly.

Unfortunately no. There’s no plans for anything like that. :(

Couldn't you just modify the connector by putting a top (lid) on. I would love to have an XL for a 109mm vc w/ a lid. Heck, you could offer the Silo as is in both 92mm & 109mm & add in a modified lid for when not using the stash portion.

To anyone who has one, is the stash area deep enough to hold a tip? Looks like it.

Yeah we could absolutely make a little screw on cap. But we just don’t believe it makes sense to do so unfortunately.

However, something to make it hold the XLs has a much higher chance of becoming a reality. But if it does happen, it’s going to be awhile before it does.

I see only good things in being versatile.
Was just thinking about how I'm going to use this thing.
You already have the cap, just don't machine the threads on the stash side.
Boom, $5.00 option, add to cart. Or just throw it in. Makes the Silo even more appealing imo.
To stash, or not to stash. Sometimes you need a bigger stash than the Silos. Some people here may wear skinny jeans and want a more discreet Silo sometimes.

@Boden wow... really looking forward to seeing helical fins. Are you using a badass CNC lathe or something?

wait... are those the helical fins, or just sorta helically grooved?

sweet. maybe I could file the fins on my M too, a bit.. if they promote significantly to the draw resistance

That’s just a first try. A material test if you will. is A2 Tool Steel BTW

That said, it works just the way I wanted so my maths are pretty dialed in.

I don’t think filing the fins on a M will do much of anything. Good or bad. May add a bit of heat to the stem.

My new project, yeah I know I haven't "finished" the previous design for the tin, but it is good enough so decided to explore more options. Also, the vapcap is supposed to be stored in 2 parts, body and SS tip.

Pulling that out of the Tin once the tin gets beat a bit might be tricky.

Not to be a spoiler, it looks great; taking the ‘Cap apart/reassemble, in time the O-rings will show
wear & tear....

Nice to be able to “Take & Toke”.

Stash bin in the bottom? Take insert out to access? :|
