Vape Donkey 650

All vape, no smoke please.
Damnit I'm not done yet! :bang: With all the hype over big new RBA coils with so many big donuts, I don't want to let the cubis tanks with teeny donuts go under-recognized or un-appreciated. I still have a bunch of these and they still work very well, relative for their smaller size and power needs

My latest cubis builds had been with dual 5mm donuts filled with the cheap, runny, THClear distillate syringes. Although the super-loose viscosity was helpful for filling tanks, the excess terpene dilution ended up being too much for me. I feel like these things are cut to 40-50% terpenes :puke: It was causing my throat to get so itchy and only got worse as the tank was puffed on more, with the light yellow color of the oil getting brown and dark black pretty quickly. :( This was a shame because it was a good proof of concept for the 5mm donuts, actually producing big clouds, just of a crappy product :disgust: I didn't want to subject my chest to such abuse anymore, so I took these cubi (plural of cubis) apart to recover the crap oil and clean them up for some better filling contents. This dark foul distillate oil will be eaten and get mixed in with food and drinks. Had a few drops in my coffee, it was ok in that role. :\

w7wjbNa.jpg

One small encouraging note is how clean the 5mm donut is. The wick is fouled, but that rinses off easy.

EG7masK.jpg

Get to soaking...

1r0Azuw.jpg

And after changing the alcohol two times, it was coming out pretty clear, so then I rinse it gently with warm water and let it dry out. Then I put it into a spare, clean empty cubis tank to dry-fire it to boil off any leftover moisture and gunk. I also pulse the coil briefly in watts mode to burn off any crust, and that's about as clean as it's going to get.

IjLyPWE.jpg

To my slight disappointment, after the burn-off, I actually was left with a thin dark crust over part of one donut. It looks like bad lighting on the pic, but the donut actually got a little darker. Oh well, it's clean, and I don't have more 5mm donuts. Gonna use it.

WZGoMo0.jpg

I decided to give THclear another chance, this time with their thicker "honey bucket" distillate product, which comes in a little jar, not a syringe, and is purported to be a thicker product, cut with less terpene. More thick it surely is, but are the fewer terpenes of a higher quality as well? :uhh:

Some of this distillate took into a syringe with heating the jar, but with lots of air bubbles, it turned out to be easier to just pour the warmed oil directly into the tank from the jar, and I did this with minimal spilling and sticky fingers, but didn't take pics because it was precarious :o But here's the tank when it was filled and settled, with just under 1g in there

XCYxnuT.jpg

ekNnUWZ.jpg

Nice cognac / whiskey hue, thick and slow to move across the tank, but it does migrate if you give it a few minutes. I dial in my same TC settings for this coil I was using earlier, and:

:o:worms:Insta-yack ! ! !:puke:

I was getting gurgling, a little spitting, followed quickly by big clouds (this coil wicks up quickly even with thick stuff) and the flavor even closely resembled the "skywalker og kush" strain it claims to be. (I'm quite familiar with that one) but it was just throat-gaggingly harsh and irritating! What a waste! :disgust:

IDK if they just put a cheap, poorly-extracted industrial-sourced terpene mix in their distillate, or if they put too much of it, or if their product is contaminated with pesticides or some crap, but over 4 strains i've tried so far, THClear never fails to make me feel sick trying to vape their product, the longer I try it.

It's a shame because I was getting big clouds right away, but I don't need to guinea pig myself with some suspect concentrate to prove that my coil works. As frustrating as this is since I just emptied and cleaned out this tank and coil, after just a couple dozen puffs or so on a fresh tank, I broke it all down and did it all again! :bang:

I have 2 evics with their own cubis and 5mm donut coils on this little side-project, and my pink one assigned to sativa duty sat, already cleaned out and ready while the THClear honey bucket fill-up on the black evic failed, so the red tank was ready to go with a quality product instead. I planned on filling this red tank with a "sour diesel" THClear honey bucket, but because their skywalker OG was so gross, I call up gold drop once again, and this brand didn't fail.

eynM84G.jpg

This time we have chem-dawg! :D tipping the scales at a respectable 87% thc

uvaxUH0.jpg

The little 5mm coil was washed just like the other one, but this one didn't get much dark crust left behind. Just a slight yellow tinge left from the the old distillate? (whatever)

gWlW2i9.jpg
HjeR7ZV.jpg

Started with two 0.5g's, painstakingly slow to wrangle that thick oil to the floor of the tank. The filling slots of the cubis are a bit restrictive, but much less so than the X-baby tanks.

So this chem-dawg slowly made it's way to the tank bottom, and I called up my old settings from earlier, TCR 245, 24w, start low at 360F. 1g to start a clean cubis is minimal, so I was getting no gurgling, but I was getting great flavor to start, and as I moved up to 375, 380F :o wow I was starting to get some rather thick clouds. I closed air throttles to 1/5 open to help move the thick oil through suction and dial in good low temp hits. I eventually settled on 385-395F and wow... this is one of the best tasting tanks I've ever filled :p (up against some very solid competition recently too) It's like a party in my mouth, courteousy of a chemmy-dawg :D A little OG-kushy, soapy, a little sour diesel-y, (the most well-known offshoots of chemdawg) This is distillate and strain profiles done right! Absolutely no terpene tickle, but with a very strong, pronounced flavor that sticks to my tongue and throat for many minutes! This one tastes stronger than the tangie or romulan, and very potent!:ko: :science:

Only possible complaint so far with this coil / oil: I sometimes get a "ghost hit" or a dry, empty hit in between some thick chalky ones. I think that's because oil on the edge of the donut gets vaped and takes a few seconds to replenish, since I filled it with a minimal 1g. 1.2 or 1.3g might have been better, but I'll get back to that.....

.
.

Back to that poor black evic with the skywalker og distillate oil! That THClear was gross for the second time, so I cleaned it up again  and filled it up with another gold drop! guess what strain? :D

CCE3Or6.jpg

cgdhTD9.jpg

Yet another skywalker og. Although this gold drop is just about as thick as the others I've used, at only 60% thc, with a dash of CBD, it's much less potent  Where's that other 20-25% of content at? Yet I fill it again. This time I put 3 syringes, for about 1.3-1.4g total (one was short from me using on a DTV3) since the pink evic with chemdawg felt just a little bit shorted with only 1.0g

on1FVxq.jpg

This one has a lighter hue and thicker viscosity than the THClear buckets

2eTnwnc.jpg

C37h3dI.jpg

That may have been over-doing it on the fill. As I closed it up and let the tank settle a little bit, I dialed in my old settings for this coil: TCR 245, 24w, 365F to start.

I got alot of intense gurgling and some nasty spitting :o (ow my lip) For having so much thick oil with only 2 little donuts far low on the floor, I think my heaters where a bit overwhelmed and overcome by oil at first

I creeped up the temp to 380, 390 400! I was still getting little to no vapor, just gurgles, spits, and lots of skywalker og taste :mental: I was not until I went past 410, 425, 430F with a stout, strong puff on the mouthpiece with 3/5 holes open on the air intake to be able to start fetching a worthy cloud.

In between these stout clouds, I would get an empty, ghost cloud, or a meager one, but pull again, and then you get a real thick one :brow: And it's tasting good, and it's fairly smooth. Ironically, it tastes exactly like THClear's skywalker OG, just that it doesn't bother my throat  This one actually tickles my throat just a little, and the other gold drop's don't do that at all, but it's minimal, and this distillate is enjoyable still. Hopefully it will go away as the tank level gets vaped up and settles lower.

Sigh! So after so much work cleaning tanks and so much THClear wasted, I finally got my little 5mm donut evic cubi set up right and filled with something good again. ;) Once again I have way too many tanks to puff on...:D

All vape, no smoke please.
But wait! 1 more tidbit of a nugget of a lesson:

don't blow your breath onto your tank or through a syringe into it!

Because that could put moisture on your tank and contaminate your oil :(

Since my pink evic with only 1.0g of chemdawg felt like it could use another 200mg of oil fill to really rip to it's full potential, I decided to do a cheap trick: I took these 8 or 9 "empty" gold drop syringes I had lying around, and took the plunger out to scrape that oil stuck to it with a dab tool, and drip those drops of oil onto my tank. It seemed like alot of distillate was sticking to the inside of the glass needle tip also, so I heated them with my volcano, and put the empty syringe tip over the tank, and BLEW my breath through it to force the oil out the tip, into the tank. It did work, but also added some water vapor and steam into the tank that got mixed in before I noticed it. :bang: So I did get plenty of distillate from various strains to mix in with my chemdawg distillate and raise the fill level, but the moisture I added by mistake appears to have clouded my oil and added a waxy layer on top. :( I generously blasted my tank with the volcano to help the dribble of oil move down to the floor, and hopefully boil off the moisture, but I probably boiled off more good terps instead.

Compared to the new skywalker og gold drop tank without any moisture, you can see the chemdawg is a little cloudy. :|

As I closed the filling cover and got to piffin', it turned out a tiny bit of steam wasn't a major disaster, but it sure didn't help. A bit of flavor seems to have been lost. Although it tastes top-notch still, a bit of terpy edge has been lost. Flavor tends to degrade a little bit on big, free-flowing tanks as you puff them, but I think I accelerated that un-necessarily in this case. As I keep on puffing, that fresher layer of un-molested chemdawg underneath is swishing over the donuts and giving me some great flavor again, but I certainly made a minor mistake in this case.

Oh well, I got a couple more chem-dawgs to top it off when the tank gets low again, that will replenish the great flavor  (don't put steam on your tanks people)

Delayed reply to your earlier post, but I think you'll be happy with the primo (mini?) se and a vtwo mini also. Great for the price, nice classic feel and function to them. Some people even more nit-picky about TC than I am have some things to say about the TC on joyetech / eleaf mods, but compared to some of those other ones you mentioned that you can't even set the watts limit when vaping in TC mode  You made a good pick there I thinks

But about that cubis 2 tank, I think you may want to reconsider that purchase, if you haven't re-ordered it from another place after the problem with your last order already.

I looked at that tank when it was released a little while ago, but quickly decided that it wouldn't be good for my concentrate uses.

It has a nice compact look and top airflow, which is good, but the atomizer coil heads look like they will function very poorly with thick materials, with restrictive bottom-feed wicking and a thick, double-metal-jacket design that is not rebuildable or modifiable like the coil heads on the older cubis tanks.

Also, it has a complex shaped set of slots (presumably for wicking the coil from underneath) around the floor of the inside of the tank, which looks like an area where lots of concentrate will stick to and not enter the atomizer and be wasted when the tank is low, if you don't refill, it seems much worse than the original cubis or even the veco possibly in this regard.

Also! The cubis 2 doesn't have any ready-made ceramic coil options (just traditional coils) ... so unless you're a fan of cotton wick / wire coils, and you make your mix super-super-thin and runny like randomtoker does , or if you have something like those THClear distillate syringes (which I think are diluted to 50% terpenes :worms:) I don't think the cubis 2 will perform well.:2c:

Thanks for the advice @Vape Donkey 650 (BTW I do read your build progress notes, so you have an audience of at least one here!). I really appreciate the level of detail you went to to review the tank. I will scratch all but the original Cubis off my list, but I think I may not even try that.

New things are coming out and am am learning so much more by the day. Right now want to experiment with smok tanks and need to get some NRG ceramics to use with those. I wish I could have gotten smaller versions (another reason to go to China, but I will address that a bit later in my response). I also wish the Eagle from geek vape did not leak because that thing has some potential. Either way, the way things are going I would not be surprised if I am building my own wicks in early 2018, though I wish I would not have to do that. If you have suggestions of non-rebuildable tanks that will wick thick oils (I plan to experiment with 2:1 and 1:1 mixes as well as pg/vg (more on that below), or even thin ones, let me know. The Veco is good for my 3:1 mix but my trials are in their infancy.

After much, much, much research:myday::sherlock::bang:, I decided to go with a Evolv DAN 75c chip because, well, its the best and most customizable mod you can get (at least that I know of, but I am learing new things each day. The amount you can control and measure is unbelievable. I can't believe it took almost 3 months of relatively serious research on mods to discover them and why I needed/wanted them. I am going to research the amount each different coil goes through ejuice and this chip has some research tabs and fields that should aid in toding this. I also am starting to "get" my people use drippers. I just don't know how you stop one thing from contaminating the other when vaping this way, but I can see them in my future, possibly to test different mixes and potencies, but I want to make sure to work against confounds. I am lso thinking of ordering several different mixes, in terms of VG/PG, of flavorless non nic ejuice. I want to experiment and see if I can get off the PEG Wax liquidizer I currently use. I also, possibly want to experiment with some nic juice, as some Europeans have suggested the combo of THC and Nic gives a euphoric high, but that is way down the road. I will report back on that on the thread that seeded this one and post links here. This may take months as I am really busy trying to open a business. I really wish I was in my 20s when I had tons of time to waste misspending my youth.:ko:

As far as my mod suggestion, I got the Think Vape Finder DNA75c because the price was right ($74 using the SAVE20 discount from ElementVape (added a veco stick as well with $5 off of that it came out to $20.95 (worth it for the tank alone)).

I thought about the Lost Vape Paranormal, as it is obviously made in a sister/same factor and seems slightly beeter built, but it was goint to be at least $20 more and the battery door reportedly opens easily (can't believe they did not but a locking mechanism on that spring loaded door). The Therion was also an option, but I could not get one for under $120 and it has issues loading and unloading the battery door. I plan on charging my batteries in the mod, as this mod as balanced charging and good battery charging circuitry and controls (especially when you dive into escribe), but still it was much more expensive. It does have DJLsb Vapes (awesome reviewer who I highly recommend) created menue scheme theme that I could have used as a base for my own screens, but I guess I can't consider making custom screens work (much like you do for your builds), so I am not putting a $ to those themes. Anyway I will report back my experience with it and some of the tanks I ordered, but have not used (I sold someone my old setup).

That sucks to hear about your bad experience with HG. I probably made some links to items on their website in my posts so sorry if you ended up having a bad service based on following my links :( But HG is not a scam operation, they're just one of many, many retailers based around shenzhen and HK, the main hub of the vape industry, and they specialize more in retailer-to-retail rather than retail-to-customer. All of these places are a bit slow to pack up and ship orders (a few days sometimes) and it takes a couple weeks or so for the random little sketchy courier / delivery companies to float your package across the pacific on a big boat too.

HG has always been pretty quick to reply / email me when I contact them, at least. Compared to some other places like fasttech and gearbest, I've had much better, faster service with HG, although the prices tend to be higher there too.

I prefer to get stuff from a domestic retailer when I can, and I wouldn't buy batteries (cells) direct from china, but another reason I tend to get stuff direct from china retailers sometimes, is because I tend to follow and covet the newest and best vape gear and I want it right when it comes out sometimes. It can take a few weeks / months for your favorite local (or any domestic) e-cig shop to stock that newest tank, coil or mod you want, so unless you want to wait, direct from china is the only option.:2c:

My random "in-defense-of-chinese-e-tailers" counter-rant  Anyways, hopefully you'll get all the stuff you were looking for from local shops soon enough, no more problems....

Also, just for HG, I had a problem with my blue evic primo mini that I received from them. It was working fine with the X-baby tank I got to use with it, but it was not working with any of my other atomizers, reading 0.00, atomizer not found, there was a problem with the 510 connector being too deep. (the 510 threads on the x-baby tank are very deep too)

I wrote them an email, they asked me to make a video of the problem (which I did, kind of annoying, but I could, maybe everyone can't do this, but they wanted some proof, understandable) and after a chain of 3 e-mails, they had shipped a replacement out for me no charge  Since my blue evic primo mini still worked with only 1 tank of mine (but not others) I'm still using that one too, so I requested a different color for the replacement, black, and 4 weeks later (slow this time) I have a free replacement black primo mini SE, and it's 510 connector works with all my atomizers now too! (thanks HG :D)
Good to know that all I needed to do was be patient. They do mislead and mis-advise the hell out of their customers, but I guess that is what you can expect. I will try them again, as you can only get some things from them (2ml versions of tanks), and you can save a boatload in a 30% off sale. I just have to stay away from batteries (which sucks because a lot of mods have internals (I am thinking of selling some on ebay). For example the Qbox by smok is an awesome and stealth mod that can be had for $20 from them. Anyways, thanks for your feedback on them as well.:tup:

Well there is a bunch more to respond to but I have to cut myself off. This place is a total procrastination device! I really wish double posting was not frowned upon, but I guess I will wait for another post before I respond to everything, just know everything is appreciated guys and gals!

You can get them from China. Gear Best, Heaven Gifts, Health Cabin ect. I can't vouch for their customer service, but from what I hear, they are legit, you just have to be patient. Good luck in your search!

Recently acquired about 5g of distillate and looking to possibly add a slight amount of flavor to some of it (something fruity) to make some carts for my wife (probably vape710 carts)

Cant afford terps, so that's not an option, lol

would TFA or LorAnn flavorings work? (Im guessing pg based is what I'm looking for?)

Propylene Glycol and Glycerin are polar solvents. THC is a non-polar molecule requiring a non-polar solvent.

Thanks! Like zenus said, some chinese e-tailers seem to be the only place we can order the smaller 2ml version of that tank right now, although lots of local places have the 4ml version. I guess all those 2ml versions are getting shipped straight to europe for local distribution, minus the few oddballs like myself that are peeling them off one at a time, direct from the source.

u0nMAEl.jpg

The 4ml version doesn't really seem that much bigger if you don't want to order from china, I can't really see it holding a full extra 2ml of oil or juice with only 2mm added height. This tank seems to let the oil settle at the bottom for effective use of your fill up pretty well so the 4ml might not be bad. And having a taller section of the narrow chimney at the top might aid in filling, but if you have thin distillate that shouldn't matter much for you.

What is my #1 tank right now? Well, I was just telling my DT friends how I'm starting to think the smok x-baby tanks (with the RBA coil and ceramic donuts in my context, of course, my new quad 7mm donut RBA in particular) are becoming my favorite RTA to pick up and use as of late. The cubis pro minis are still great and worthy of attention, especially for more size and battery-limited applications, but the x-baby RBAs just offer more space and potential, without being more "wasteful" at the same time. Adding more heaters in your atomizer coil just gives you the biggest cloud produced in the least time. Puffs 4-6 seconds long with the quad donut tank and thick distillate are amazing. :whoa: :spliff:The x-baby RBA is also easier to build, with less work required compared to a modified cubis coil.

Hey, good to see some progress with your projects, it looks like you got multiple leads to follow up on! :science: And I don't think it's forbidden or frowned upon to double post, if you're just making a long, detailed, coherent post, responding to multiple other posts, and it's longer than 10,000 characters (which is the arbitrary limit for a single post) and you're just finishing up your long post that would be cut-off by the limit, with a 2nd one, just to finish all your thoughts, I do that all the time. :\:rolleyes:

It is making short posts back to back, without anyone else having responded, and also within the time-limit so you can edit your original post to merge the 2 short posts, that is against the rules. :(

So, super-long 20,000k character back-to-back-to-back essay posts, perhaps "frowned upon" or ignored, but not forbidden.

Thanks for all the great advice!!! I'm waiting on my delivery of wax, I have my Liquidizer, Smok is ready.......to be continued....

There is so much information here

I am just getting into trying to use thc eliquids (my mixes using wax liquidizer, shatter batter, distillate seem to be holding up with no separation and taste pretty nice), but im getting completely hung up on where to start with the atomizers. The ones that come with the tanks are burning out the cotton extremely quickly which i kind of expected, but being new to this type of vaping i dont really know where to turn next.

Would really appreciate some direction

Hi, welcome to the tank + concentrate game. The your problem with the cotton wicks is common and to be expected when using most default sub-ohm e-cig gear with thick concentrates, it's just not intended to be filled with concentrates.

If you want a decent, sub-ohm tank to use with thick oils that you don't have to modify or build like i do, you might want to look into the vaporesso veco. You can use it with a ceramic coil, it tastes ok, has good top airflow, won't leak on you, easy to fill and change coils. It has it's bugs and it's not perfect, but it's a good starter tank for newbs who don't want to use smaller carts with all their inherent problems.

If you're interested in the smaller, pen sized tanks actually intended for concentrates, I would recommend the liberty V9 tank. Same type of ceramic heater like on the veco, it has top airflow, it won't leak on you, very reliable and easy to use. The downsides are the much more limited airflow and slight tendency to clog the chimney (which is easily solved by simply pulling/puffing on it to clear it) but these are pretty minor. As I type this, I think the V9 tank is actually better than the veco in many ways, especially for being so much smaller. The v9 tank is not sub-ohm but it can still be run in temp control mode.

Istick pico 25 is ok for a mod, you can twist a big smok tank on top of it and it will clear the battery cap, and the temp control is decent on the picos. The ello tank looks totally ordinary and undistinguished with little applicability for vaping concentrates. When I purchased some eleaf invoke box mods recently, I easily opted for the mod only, not the kit that comes with the ello tank.

The cleito tank, I think that's the one that @randomtoker likes, but with bottom-airflow, I have no idea how he manages to have those not leak out on him. No ceramic coils or ability to rebuild the default coils yourself for the ceramic flavor lovers with these tanks, I think.

For the tfv8, do you have the x-baby? smoktech has like 5 or 6 different tanks they call the tfv8, only the x-baby has top airflow, and won't leak on you. Expect any of the others to leak on you. You can build some very potent coils with the RBA kit for the x-baby tank, but I would expect crappy performance with the default cotton wick pre-made coils.

So much stuff, I suggest you read most or all of this entire thread. By repeating and paraphrasing it, there's alot I'm leaving out here. Good luck.

How long does it take for shatter to seperate from pg?

I use 1:1 pg and shatter and it does not separate or i am vaping it all before it separates. I don't see all the fuss about liquidizers when straight pg works fine.

Here is a tank I filled on Friday. I took the pic for something else so not a good shot but the mix looks exactly like it did when I mixed it.

There is little research currently available on the potential adverse health effects associated with inhaling the flavorings in e-liquids while vaping, but attention is now turning to the damage that the diacetyl used to flavor e-cigarettes is doing to consumers, particularly younger ones who may be more susceptible to toxic exposure. https://trulaw.com/ecigarette/e-cigarette-lawsuit/

Excellent point and article, thanks!. Vapers should keep in mind that while we know about the harmful effects of inhaling diacetyl (from occupational exposure in popcorn workers resulting in progressive, debilitating pulmonary disease), there are at least 100 flavor and flavoring constituents of concern, especially when heated and inhaled. More "diacetyls" could well lurking in e-liquids, waiting to be discovered. Because most vapers vape multiple e-liquids with multiple flavor constituents, it will likely be very difficult to associate adverse effects with exposure to particular flavor constituents.

Believe what you'd like in this post-truth era. The article cited is dated but relevant, consistent with professional experience in both diacetyl and e-cigarette toxicology and regulation.

Admittedly, a somewhat misleading article. (Take back the "excellent" review). That doesn't invalidate the concern. Your links include some of the same information. The main source is here, published in the very reputable journal of the US National Institute of Environmental Health Science, Environmental Health Perspectives.

If interested, discussed concerns with vaping flavors in this post. Actually did the cross-referencing - almost all flavored e-liquids contain at least one substance of concern. Many contain several. People who are risk-averse and vaping cannabis for health reasons should be aware of these concerns and decide for themselves whether vaping flavors is consistent with their health goals.

Good night people.
Here's the thing, I want to go back to the E-Cig world again. Our first experience was about 4/5 years ago. It was very recent and little variety. Now things have changed a lot and I, the more I read, the more confused I get. I wanted an E-Cig for an early stage, replace the tobacco. Then he wanted the possibility of using the same E-Cig, to spray the herb in a more discreet way, through the E-Liquid. What do you advise me, so that you have the possibility to do what you describe here?
From the research I've done, this looks good on me. What do you think?

Thanks in advance.

N1ghtWalker,
I just thought I'd share my set-up.

It's taken me a long time to find, but with a fair amount or research, experimentation, wastage of bloody good shatter and a lot of help from this and similar threads on this forum I've found my sweet-spot as regards hardware, settings and juice mix ratio etc.

I quit smoking and combustion of any kind after a health scare in 2014. My favorite way of consuming for 30+ years was via joints made with flower or hash mixed with tobacco from my menthol cigs. I seriously LOVED THEM more than any bongs etc. I smoked menthol cigs exclusively

So back to today, and my favorite and now ONLY way of consuming -
Vaping weed infused, menthol tobacco flavored, ejuice via my VECO
I'm in nirvana

My 'juice' is comprised of 1g Shatter / .5ml pg / .2ml pg-Menthol/Virginia Tobacco /.3ml pg-Nicotine.

Now, here is where my set up differs from probably everybody else. I don't use TC.

I cant afford to get set up for it at the moment so I have to get by with WV control only, and a lot of 'intuitive pulsing'.

With a EUC 0.5 Ohm installed, I set my istick-30W to just 12W and pulse at a rhythm like 3 on : 3 off. I have the airlfow 85% closed off and inhale as if it was a MTL tank.

Amazingly, I cant believe it myself, but I get fantastic clouds, great flavor and a very effective hit. All consistently. Two 6 sec hits is all I need for a good head change and to be pleasantly 'medicated'.

I don't vape it in 'sessions' as such. My routine is like 2 good puffs (8 sec or so) then set it down.
I am then vaping nicotine ejuice pretty much all day and I will pick up my Cannajuice every hour or so (in theory but I usually take more puffs than I set out to - oops)

Before I got my Veco I could even get brilliant results with the DRIZZLE and it's tiny ceramic cells.
Using the same juice at 4W-6W and long slow pulls. No pulsing needed at this setting.
Same result. Massive cloud, very effective, a little less tasteful (but not much).

Prior to discovering the vapresso tanks I found the Nautilus X was quite good if I made the juice thinner. I still use a Nautilus X for my nic juice.

I feel quite lucky as it seems that TC can be a hassle and is not without it's fare share of teething troubles at the moment. I'm looking forward to experimenting with it, but with these results, I'm not in any hurry, and probably wont change anything ultimately. I'm like that. Ha

Yoo and hello everyone. I thought I'd add my experience to the thread in hopes of answering some questions and contributing to the community. so far this thread and site has really helped me out and opened my eyes to how deep builds and set up can go. So here goes my first post!

My set up is a Smok TFV 12 cloud beast King tank, mated to a laisimo L3. Atomizer is a T12-V12 .12 ohm. The atomizer is probably a month old with no grey or black char and had of/vg soaked in when I added the concentrate mix. I run the laisimo at 110-120 watts. The concentrate mix is strawberry wax liquidizer and the wax is just some open blast of some decent trim, thrown into a Buchner for a single run and finally vac purged. It is definitely not top shelf but it's good none the less. I believe the strain was sky walker. Mix ratio was 2.5 ml WL and about .9 of the wax which had been sitting for over a week in the open air and consequently oxidized into budder.

I was aiming for a 1-1 ratio but it was difficult to form a solute and I heated in the microwave at 10 sec, 10 sec, 5 sec, 6 sec both the WL and wax. I don't know why I put both in together, I blame excitement for the poor choice in heating as a double boiler would have been ideal. Although this workd just fine just took 10 min of stirring. The result is a golden transparent liquid with the viscosity of a pre made e juice with nicotine. It's only been half a day but it is working out as hoped this far. Taste is strawberry and takes about 6 pulls to get baked and each pull produces a cloud similar to pg/vg mix juice. No burning or sputtering and it seems to last as long as a nicotine juice.

Again so far I'm happy with the results, although I'll be doing things differently/more efficiently with my future mixing. I didn't have any prior knowledge of what I was doing and just went with the flow, I had recoeved my package earlier today and just heard of the product about a week ago, furthermore I conclude this process is relatively user friendly. Now that I have some base knowledge, I have some new ideas and something to base them off and it's only up from here!

I took some pics but I don't see where to attach them, too baked.. I'll find it sooner or later..

Got the Veco tank with the ceramic coils and I would say this is the thing I was looking for! I tried to find Something rather cheap able to handle a juice made from winterized reclaim, PEG (1%), nicotine PG/VG (20%) and some terps.... the Veco can handle that pretty well (better than the Trinity tank but I'm awaiting for the XL version too). Still not tested the TC mode with the Veco and use it at 15w for now, do you have any settings to share for TC use? which is the best mode to use with ceramic (my mod is a Evic Mini)?

Hi all. Read through info and decided to.get the vaporesso veco from Vapordna.com

When you buy it offers different coil replacements and wick replacements. Does.anyone know which is best ie .3 or .5ohm ceramic coil. And japanese cotton or platinum mix wick?

Also I want to get a pre made ejuice for simplicity. Anyone object to wax liquidizer?

Thanks for the help
