I never tried wax/oil in the Plenty, too nervous about leakage. A thin layer of dry sift/bubble in between two layers of bud is great though. With the right draw speed you can milk that hard enough to get a dab like head rush. Great vape.

Would love to know how exactly one can use the plenty with a water pipe. (For some reason I can't wrap my brain around it)
Anyone have pictures or a diagram on how I can set mine up?

Just vaped some Superman OG in the Plenty, through a water pipe and it has me wrecked. I did not use the cap or the small bowl or the liquid pad. I just ground up a tiny little amount about half a gram, may be less. I completely covered the whole bottom screen. I held my hand steady and vaped away. I will not put up with the cap/ small bowl set up. The spacer/pad method is okay, but just doing the method of covering the screen completely worked perfect for me. I do realize that people with Arthritis or other conditions may not be able to hold the Plenty steady for 2 to 5 minutes.

I am starting to appreciate and understand Convection vaping. This is my only Convection vape and I love it. I love the ability to comeback to a bowl that doesn't taste spent. I did have a Firefly, but no comment on that. I getting a handheld Convection vape soon. Anyway the Plenty is still doing me right 4 years later.

Edit [It's actually like a quarter of a gram I vape.]

Remove the cooling coil from the black plastic chamber top, cheap solution is to wrap a bit tape around the black plastic nozzle to fit it onto 18 mm glass pipes. I use a 14mm male 2 male adapter in the black plastic with the same silicone tubing that holds the coil

I used an 18mm female whip adapter from vapexhale with a thin slice of silicone tubing to act as an o-ring (actual o-rings roll around on the plastic chamber, a slice of tubing stays put). Works fairly well.

I've played around and found another little trick for micro dosing in the plenty - arizer solo/air stems fit really nice/airtight onto the reducer chamber, if pushed against while drawing. Works best with the long stems bc the heat creeps slowly up the glass with every draw - well too much convection for the arizer stems . But it works and tastes nice, guess it doesn't get to the max 202C temp that way but still plenty of temp ;)

edit: to clarify - my best glass water adapter solution is to put the short silicone tubing that originally seals the coil to the chamber over a 14mm male 2 male glass connection, then it can be pushed into the housing the same way as the coil. Works better than using something with a larger diameter imo

https://imgur.com/aMFQKQq Cut about a third off the shorter extra ring, this makes a pretty good seal when pressed directly onto an 18mm female joint. Shout out to Holistic Herb on youtube for this awesome trick! Check out his plenty review for a far more entertaining and detailed explation

so, just broke my last m2m glass adapter...
Good news is - Arizer Solo/Air glass adapter stems fit/hold perfect with a little pressure in the black chamber top, no additional sealing needed and it offers an added 'flavour chamber' :)

If you had to choose between Plenty or Volcano, which one would you prefer? I am looking for a desktop vape.

SunGrasses,
Just wanted to put a good word in for the Plenty. It is one of the best vapes I've tried or owned.

Been using it for 4 years now, no problems whatsoever. It is a high quality built product. I've dropped it many times, it still works like the day I bought it.

Must haves:
Chamber Reducer - For a solo session, using the regular bowl is a waste. Don't get me wrong, its fun, and will get you blitzed fast, but you're wasting herb. The reducer is a perfect amount for a single person.
Poke tool or Dab tool - The metal on the Plenty gets as hot as the sun! Check yourself!
Spare parts - Nice to have an extra for each component. But the only thing that broke since I have had it is the little brush. It comes in handy to keep it upright!

If your on the fence about a new reliable vape, you really can't do wrong with this thing. German engineering at its best!

S&B's overnight shipping rocks

I received the plenty and a reducing chamber this afternoon! I filled a capsule, installed it with the reducer, cranked it up to 7 and turned it on. As soon as the temp dial crossed 400°f I started inhaling. Got a wispy taster/starter hit, then a great one, then a wispy finisher. I'm very satisfied. I can't believe I waited so long to grab one of these, but when I saw the reducer I knew that I had to finally try the plenty out.

Fine-tuning; do you guys usually wait until it's fully up to temp before putting the capsule in? I smelled it cooking so I started hitting it before the heat exchanger was fully warmed up, according to the manual it takes a full four minutes. I'm also a bit unclear on best practice for the auto-off release handle.

Congrats on your purchase! I love this thing as much now as I did way back when I first got it!

For my first bowl, I twist it on the plenty when the needle is getting close to the green. Then I give her a couple slow pulls to bring the hot air up through the herb. When the needle is closer to my desired temp, I start hard pulls. Depending on dryness of your herb, you'll get 4-6 nice big puffs before hitting the trigger to bring the heat back up. It takes a couple sessions to get a feel for the trigger, but it becomes second nature.

The capsules are great too, initially in a session I'll put the cap in the bowl but don't twist it on the Plenty until the temps are higher. If you put it on while it warms, its vaping, but you're not inhaling. I just find this way works a lot better. Then I'll tap that capsule out, toss a new one in and pull the trigger.

Hope you enjoy your Plenty!
P.S. Though its not efficient for a single person to use, I do suggest filling the regular bowl to try at least once;) Crazy big clouds, but alas, you do burn it quicker and will lose smoke with only one person.

I prefer the reducer filled to top without capsules - that works best with nippled screens as mentioned in the past pages. For smaller loads just cover the screen and place a capsule bottom on top as spacer.
Letting the reducer warm up or not is more personal preference imo.
My older plenty cycles when the switch is hold constant, with the newer one its just pressing it every now and then - u will forget repressing when u are done ;)

I too never use the capsules, I think most people do the screen nipple when they see how the plenty operates. That said, if and when you accidentally touch the reducer to refill after a session, you will always ask yourself why you didn't use a capsule:) Hence suggestion for using a tool to help you load.

I would recommend the chewy 2 grinder, works really nice to load the hot reducer ;)

I really like my new plenty! It's fugly as all get-out, but I kinda like the power tool vibe. It's a little awkward ergonomically, but not in actual use if that makes any sense. The stock bowl is way too big, that's the main reason I stayed away from s&b's dark horse of a desktop for so long. But I fell in love with the capsule system with my mighty, even its durability has proven to be as poor as my crafty. In fact I've never used my mighty 'native', always with the capsules (still have to clean the bowl tho!). So when I found out I could use my capsules in the plenty with a simple reducer, I knew I had to finally give it a try. I even finished off a big bowl to my head, won't be doing that again by myself anyways that's a lot of weed for a single session!

Glad your liking your Plenty @grokit
Love mine and use it often. I like the reduced chamber and I've grown to prefer the amount I would have put in there, devided into two capsules. I keep the whole chamber off till the warm up is into the green. Put it on, then start my long slow draws when in the red. Gets rolling vapor wise when the click off happens. Keep toking, checking the trigger now and then till it clicks on again. Pending on the strain and fill size on how many yanks and how deep into the second heat cycle you go before no more vapor appears.
For the second capsule since the Plenty is all warned up, I drop the second capsule in, usually after a slight breather, only after the click off, and the immediate yank after insertion is stupendous. That's a @ChooChooCharlie move I've kept in my Plenty usage.
Some days I don't need the second capsules. But the days I do. :whoa:
Enjoy getting to know your new work horse.:sherlock:

I read on this thread that a new Plenty version is out since mid 2017 iirc. Actually that’s the unit I own now.
Other than the new white style packaging is there any improvement over the old version?
If the old one took about 5 minutes to heat to 7, this one takes 4’19” which is probably the same.
Iirc someone said this new version should run a little hotter but the manual states max temp is still 202.
