20 days with no update!
C'mon @Dan Morrison!

Truthfully I'm going to be sort of sad when our batch is complete and we won't be getting these beautiful and thorough updates...

Oh screw that!

I want to pack it up!

Well, aren’t you the impatient one? I was gonna give him 3 weeks before inquiring.

Dan told me yesterday, there are about 100 "early bird" orders (w/o waiting list) he'll have to make the next months

Don’t care. I just want to know ‘bout mine. :D Actually, I’m glad to hear he’s getting plenty of orders, and I hope this design keeps him busy for a long, long time. Lord knows he’s put his ALL into it, and deserves success.

@Fat Freddy , uhg... and here I am using the lathe in the outdoor shop with mitts on because it's -40 and the heater just can't keep up!

At least the weather has taken a turn for the warm side! -10 and it feels like I can dawn a t-shirt and shorts.

Also, in reference to the "early-bird" list. This is what I am calling the mailing list that I assembled before the pre-orders were taken. Many of you felt like it would be more fair to give these early supporters a better chance at getting a Nomad sooner vs. later. So that is why I say that I am giving first dibs to this list.

That isn't to say that all 100 or so people will want a Nomad, I wouldn't be surprised if half of those people are, for whatever reason, not ready to place an order. So the number is misleading.

At this time, I only have 25 official orders that I am filling, these are the pre-orders.

And about those! They will be going out in Feb., pending any unforeseeable disaster.

All that is left is to make the heater module coils, sleeves and stem collars, the stem collars and sleeves being work that I'm very familiar and fast at. Today I'll be doing final assembly of the remaining bodies, joining the bronze and wood. Pretty exciting, because I get to put the final finish on the burl woods. It'll be nice to see them finally come alive. And you know I'll be taking photos of those! So some updates to come. I will most likely get those photos out on Sunday.

Screw colouring. These are stainless steel screws, but the oxide colouring gives em' a more bronzey look.

Love the way these lenses make the buttons appear to be illuminated.

These are all of the wood species going out in this batch. All very cool in their own way!

Wow you really do make some of the most beautiful vaporizers. To be honest everything I’ve seen you do is beautiful. Every last detail. FC is full of talented artists. You are a cut above the best. IMO.

That is one of the reasons everything he creates seems from another planet
walnut/metal contrast even looks from another age, and if you look at the button you can easily imagine he went to the moon to pick it up

Yep  you hit the nail on the head there... they look like they're straight out of an HG Wells or Jules Verne story

Truly beautiful

Yeah...this would be the first time I've ever wanted to jump in on a vape before it's in enough people's hands. But, these are beautiful, I don't see too many reasons where this could fail, given the nature of the build.

But, then again...I don't yet know if I can afford it.

I think what's beautiful is it also evokes a sense of natural beauty, its a blissful meeting of the new and the old, they are, and I rarely use this word, magnificent. I'm really starting to enjoy the amount of great stuff coming out of people on this forum by the way. In the beginning I never would've thought there would be vaporizers that are functional art. anyway I have to have one of these
