Open a ticket at the VXL support web page. I wouldn't worry, but you need an answer.

PRICES R DROPING?

EVO is a CIVILIZED BEHAVIOR!

STRONG GSC?

Just wanted to share a little bit of my experience with the VapeXhale Cloud Evo:

I recently entered a work ticket through VXL support due to the red light flashing, then turning into solid red, followed by the heater shutting down. Unplugging/replugging was a bandaid for awhile, then it became nearly every use. No problems with submitting a ticket and getting the device serviced.

When I received the device back, there was a note that the temp control was damaged, and the glass path, control board, and heating element were all repaired/replaced. Additionally the temperature was adjusted. Immediately with the post-warranty device I started having issues with a flickering of the red/green lights - especially after the initial heat up time. I was finally able to capture the issue on video, and wanted to share it with you all.

I have contacted Vapexhale and am awaiting reply. With as smooth as my first warranty process was, I am not anticipating any issues - simply wanted to share this malfunction with the community.

I think the whistle of my new EVo is also slightly lower in pitch, but the main difference is the lower volume of that whistle. But I think it's just glass variance, other new EVOs could possibly whistle just like old ones

This is indeed new. The new EVO starts on green for about half a second. The old one also starts on green, but that green only blinks very fast, as it immediately turns red.
Probably some kind of startup protection, so it starts right every time. The immediate start of the old unit could be easily glitched.

So far my new EVO has NEVER overheated. But it's going into exception signal shutoffs quite often.
The regular auto shutoff timer on my unit is still missing.

When I try to run it for 2 hours, it's almost guaranteed to shut itself off at some time showing one of these 3 patterns:
-fast blinking green
-green only blinking 4 times into red and green simultaneously (this one is rarest)
-just solid red and green simultaneously. (about as frequent as the first one)
Maybe one of these is actually a shutoff timer and I just don't know the pattern.

The heater always shuts off at any of these glitches, so no overheat so far.
With this new one I can trust the LEDs.
When it's solid red - it's working it's way to the temp.
When it's solid green - good to go.
When it's a weird pattern - it's cold, needs restart.

The old one could show solid green or red and act crazy...
...or freeze at red but still maintain the temp.
That was not depandable at all.

So the new one is definitely better even when there still are some glitches.

But I'd like to know if I'm the only one experiencing this.
If yes, maybe I should try to get it replaced again.
If not, this can wait as I can use the unit and it's not likely to burn itself.

So it looks like I've found my "fault". The rapid green blinking light is it seems a 220v evo thing, and nothing much to worry about.
Panic over. I'll continue reading the thread now and experimenting with the evo..

So........I got the Lynx!

My first thought was, wow! this thing is tiny! even mo than I expected.
I forgot to order an extra foot so this will cause me some pain switching between the Lynx and my Turbine...but enough of that, lets talk performance.

The lynx is a power horse, I felt as if I took a much larger hit than with a HT, it seems I can pull forever and there is simply no drag, its beautiful!
I was a bit afraid at first that it won't be stable enough but I do feel that the Lynx is well built and I won't knock the EVO if I get a long enough cable.

As for that taste, I must confess, I need a new tubing, I need to know the exact measurements that people use, I bought years ago a whip for the original cloud, just with a female 18mm and a mouthpiece, I'm not sure if I can get it here, I can find PVC easily, but silicone might be a drag, so I can please ask for measurements in CM ? instead on ', '', feet or what not?

Back to the Lynx, it was fun using a whip again, it was years since I did so, it didn't feel right to use the whip without the Lynx, but now finally I can do so.
Its fun not having to move much to take a hit and it could work well in a circle of friends.
My only issue with whip, is that its more suited for a session vaporizer IMO, when I'm using the HT, after taking the hit, I remove the HT and then I remove the ELB, but using a whip, you don't really need to dismount it, causing you to think in a more session style way, so I took like 2 hits one after another one without removing the Lynx, its not a big of a deal, it just feels different, also, since I feel like I can take bigger hits, I've yet to find the proper balance for this, usually I vape with my wife in turns, I take 1 hit and than she take 1, in the way I've found our balance, we both get a solid 3 hits and sometimes 4.
I'm afraid, after 1-2 hits the herb will be spent, sure its not a big deal, if I need to take less hits to achieve the same results, its just the balance of the hits might be off, like I take a huge hit and my wife takes a small one...
OH well...trouble in paradise.

One last note, I think is a bit over priced IMO, the HT seems to be priced better overall, but that's fine.
I guess if the Lynx can come with a foot, the price for me would make more sense...but hey, I bought it still :)

EDIT: This is the whip I have, please, I would appreciate a link to buy a batch of these tubes...

HI guys here is my experience, usually i almost fill the ELB to the top but i Never!!! tamper/press down the material, has to be loose enough to work, i use at 12.00 (max for dry herbs) and every time works like a charm (can do small load as well...) i never had to stir and i always have full extraction and brown AVB, usually i use with Lynx hydro tube with a whip this way is smoother than using the stand MP (which i like btw) i chase a balance between flavour and vapour production and using past the 12.00 mark (14.00 and beyond) the taste start to get popcorny..., when i do concentrates (mainly RSO or Rosin) i vape low temp 10.00 because the balance i seek i found out that with concentrates a Lynx+Hydra is TOP!!! i guess water filtration with concentrates is way better than with the standard MP, smooth a lot of the flavour. I dont own a VXL hydratube so the 1st months i was only using the whip and the standard MP...no complaints whatsoever...
Another thing i found out to be significant, especially in the 1st draw is, once it go green let it stay for an extra minute or so before taking a hit, u will notice a huge difference on the 1st draw (vapour production)...
The whistle is great, for me is a warning device and once i get to the whistle i just control my breathing and go straight below untill there no sound, for me thats the optimised experience with the EVO, u can go harder but then the heating element cannot cope with, so pulling slow for a while (depend on lung capacity) is the perfect experience with the EVO but is just my experience.

The flickering light i also have but not like that...2/3 sec max

@m0sh i also build a whip before getting the Lynx, but i got the nebula whip from them and now i have 2 which is nice because i see what i did wrong with my original whip and mainly was the inside diameter of the silicone tubing, on my original whip i used 5mm inside diameter and the whip VXL sells is more a 8mm sorry for using metric but im Portuguese... now found this significant with performance and draw resistance.
Mate to buy this silicone tubing just try to find a medical equipment store, u will get cheaper than buying at VXL store or other but i recommend to take a piece to compare. u can buy it by length and this way u can replace more often. Choose the maximum inside diameter u can that fit the glass 18mm male adaptor tight this way will work better i suppose...

To finish love my EVO, its my N1 vape!!!! hope they will come out with a portable unit that performs similar to the EVO!!!
Cheers happy new year

My EVO developed a loose wire in the power input after maybe a month. $12 by FedEx ground (I'm in Maryland) and sent back to me without any shipping charge.

Just one data point
Now my evo flashing here and there durning session ...before the auto flashes and turn off on its own .. Something going on with it ... I haven't had this very long month or so .... very expensive product and already having issues .... even if customer is good .. you shouldn't be having issues this soon out of box ...

I've been contemplating another device but I'm a little leery of getting two of these ..... although don't get me wrong I do like it ... just kind of hesitant with what's been going on ...
The EVO has very outstanding Flavor if it's a requirement?

Effect depend's on QUALITY of your CANNABIS?

To not have a EVO in ROTATION?

CIVILIZED or NON-CIVIL

So I´´ve had my Evo now for 3 weeks and tbh I´m still having a few issues with it.
I´m slowly making my way through this thread, I´m in Nov 2015 atm, so apologies if this has been said before.

My first issue is with the mouth piece on the simple stem mp. I was smoking a metal pipe for years before vaping, and then it was with portable vapes, so the idea of something which goes over my lips a little strange and I´m not really into it. The Prescision hydrabomb ht I got as well,is not so bad, as the mp has a smaller diameter.

So I decided to get a glass down pipe for a normal bong with a 18.8 female fitting ( so as too accept a glass bong head ) and hopefully I´ll have a long straight pipe which should cool the vapour enough. I got 2 lengths of down pipes, 12.5 cm and 17.5cm.
The other issue I´m having with the evo is extraction efficiancy. As I said I´ve been using a Crafty / Mighty for a couple of years and as I don´t use a grinder I find the elb´s a pain to load compared to the Mighty bowl.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Mighty the bowl is about 15mm diameter and 7.5 mm deep. This means I can just crumble my weed (.1-.15g) direct into the bowl without the need for a grinder and it works fine.
With the elb´s it´s impossible to simply crumble the weed in. I bought a little stainless steel funnel (solded/used for filling hipflasks) and that helps but I still need to use the dabbing tool to poke the weed down into the elb. I´ll hit it a few times at 12 then at 2 a couple more times after a stir. I´m not getting super thick clouds (similar to my Mighty) and taste wise sometimes better, but only sometimes.
I just really wish the evo had a wide flat bowl rather than a long thin one that should only be filled half full.

So I´d noticed that the screen for the Mighty fits directly on top of the Evo bamboo, whilst allowing you to fit the simple stem. I then noticed that the bong shop, where I got my down tube, was selling charcoal filters for bongs. These are for putting inbetween the glass bong head and the down pipe to "clean up" the dirty smoke, they have a female 18.8 joint then a small bowl to put the charcoal in, then a sieve ( I ordered glass 15mm ones ) , and then comes the male 18.8 which fits into the down pipe of the bong.

So If I load the bowl with weed instead of charcoal, (maybe I´ll have to get a spacer the bowl looks about the length of an elb) put another sieve on top of that and then put the evo on top of this I´ll get my bigger wider evo bowl. Not only that I´ll be able to see exactly whats going on in the bowl, and as the screens are glass (I have no idea what they look like or if the are a perfect 15mm) I´ll have a truly all glass pathway. Otherwise I´ll just use the Mighty screens.

If it works.

So the vapourisation will be taking place about 1 or 2 cm higher up on top of the bamboo instead of in it, maybe I´ll have to turn it up a bit more, other then that I see no problems unless I see I´ve made a fuck up when I get the glass pieces!

The annoying whistle I cured by covering the bottom of the bamboo with some thin, undyed organic cotton, my evo now runs silent and the draw resistance is totally acceptable.

I´ll update when I get my glass pieces, I can´t wait to get this the evo working how I want it.

Mate i owned a crafty and always grinded my stuff u need to grind your stuff to fit in the ELB for the EVO to perform, and maybe u are packing to tight on your struggle to fit the buds inside... just follow the instructions to use it, u are coming from a different set so maybe the main difference is that...is like trying to get the same experience with a different set... if you find it helpful read my thread above. hopefully you'll get the full EVO experience.

@almost legal check out the ELB funnels at https://delta3dstudios.com for some tools. Crumble away. I like using nugs that I break apart after the first pull, stirred and tamped works for me for extraction. No grinding here.

I have had one of these for over a year and use it every day. It must have had literally thousands of ELB fillings through it and still works like new. One of my better purchases, and one I would not want to be without.

@karec, @InhaleExhale and @ataxian cheers for the advice and tips.
I know I should really use a grinder to get the weed chopped up right it´s just I haven´t used one in over 25yrs I´m not going to start now. Tbh thick clouds aren´t so important as taste which is not so important as effect, and it´s doing pretty good there.
I think if I crumble the weed into the elb using the funnel with no tapping down I´m getting good taste very nice effect but the clouds aren´t the densest. When I take out the elb and give it a bit of a stir it kindof reduces down to about half full, and I´ll get another go or two on it. I can live with that and my new glass pieces come tomorrow so I can do some more testing.
I finished an elb on 5 (full) just now, one speck had burnt, the taste was also not so nice, but I wanted to see what would happen. I´ve an eu/uk version btw.

I like a course grind then stir and get more stuff.
My EVO I use everyday = CIVILIZED

I am thinking about getting the evo station. Does anyone know if it fits other accessories? I would like to fit some arizer stems, dynavaps, etc. I tried comparing the elbs with them and it seems exact/tight.

Thanks

In my opinion, this is the problem. Get yourself a santa cruz shredder and you will fall in love with the EVO.

I have been vaping since 1999 and to be honest, very few vapes work well without ground material. You'll get used to it in no time.

Benefits? Better clouds, better flavor, smoother hits
