I am also unclear on the distinctions. I am # 62 on the list does that mean shipping in Jan?

Could someone who is in touch with Ryan or who is involved in the RBT business ventures please clarify and report to us so we don't flood Ryan with the same questions x 100 times?

I forgot to thank you guys for discussing the email.

I was not sure where I was in Line so I re-signed the waiting list last week and I thought this was a confirmation of that. So, this time, at least, I did not procrastinate and it paid off.

I clarified a few posts back.

If you are #62 you should have one coming pretty quick in the first batch or two once he has the parts.

If you pre-ordered and paid you just need to wait. If you have not paid RBT will reach out to you for payment.

I am more interested in trying one than buying one, TBH. But my curiosity is immense and may need to really try one so I can understand what everyone is raving about.

Are any followers of this thread experienced with mods? I know I would not be the only one with more than one 510 threaded device on my radar (e.g. Splinter, Tubo x, iHeat).

How often can you screw/unscrew different heaters without ruining the mod?

Better get one mod per attachment if you want to make TC mode work, that's what they recommend in the e-cig world. Not all 510 are created equal though, some are better, but those from Joyetech/Wismec/Eleaf are notoriously bad. I experienced it first-hand myself: my brand new evic Primo mini was used solely with the iHeat but just the fact of unscrewing it a few times to show to other people how it was built was enough to ruin it.

Now it's almost unusable, just blowing on the attachment makes the resistance change, and without a stable resistance reading you can't get TC work without huge variations in temperature (I'm talking over 40°C variations here, so either you combust or you get no vapor depending on which direction it went wrong) It might also be related to the 510 base that Alan selected as it feels a bit too wobbly to me.

I went back to my evic VTC mini and it's kinda ok. Yet I still have to double check the resistance everytime I power it on as it can still vary. Plus I still have that weird unexplainable bug that developed when I used it with the Project and other custom RDAs.

I hope Ryan spared no expense when he selected his 510 base source, as it can make a huge difference for long term reliability.

And I technically would've been #14 and already paid. So somewhere between 14 and 36 is where pre-payments are stopped and a waiting payment "list" starts.

Just received my follow up email from RBT. Only 2 Cherry bodies available and eight people requested them. I’m not one of the lucky two.... who is:goon:?


JK congrats to whoever got them. I can’t wait to get this!!!

I preordered and put my name on the waiting list for a 2nd splinter. I am #104.

Now i am confused.

About the pre-order vs waitlist... if you prepaid already, obviously you're a preorder... your order is paid for in advance.

If yours is still awaiting payment you're obviously waitlist. I don't know the number cut offs.... but yeah... did you pay in full, or not, should be the answer to you're question...

Be patient, rbt has so far came through 100% minus TOD... yo Ryan bro... i want my TOD... crap ill pay extra... snap, man just give me parts ill assemble it.... i know you're bussy and all but pretty please??? :cry::cry::rant::cry::nope::ugh::worms::goon::worms:

I got a separate pre order email last night asking me to reply with what kind of wood I want if I haven't received a splinter yet. Going with maple to match my Milaana.

Apparently #19 was not one of the first two cherry units ordered and I was one of the pre-paid orders. Going with walnut instead.
