For the moment it is hidden during the week and it comes out on Friday. I still use it 95% of the time dry with the steam roller.
I really love that vape, and i'm still glad i got it, because it was the vape that made it possible for me to stop combusting. It is just too easy and convenient for it's own good.

Back when i smoked with bongs, i don't think i could have gone higher than 2gr a day, just because my throat, lungs, etc would not have handled it.
With the Ti it's not a problem anymore, you can really vape 5gr a day, and wake up feeling "ok"

I admit i have always struggled with addiction/compulsion, so it might just be me, but i think it is a fair warning. The Ti took me to a place where all i wanted to do when i was home was use it, and all i wanted to do when i was out was go home and use it. More than wanting to get stoned, i wanted to get "Ti stoned".

"This one goes to 11!"

When I used to combust I REALLY had to want to get stoned since the smell and such kept my usage in check, but with vapes it's so easy to get away with sneaking a hit anywhere, it really does take more self control than smoking, as you can just vape away the day mindlessly with the tech we have out now.

Yep, no tolerance problems for me back in the combustion days! What I vape in a day now would last me a week back then! Vaping makes things so much easier... but such a double edged sword!

Today I got my microdose bowl. Looks pretty nice - just Herborizer style! - with a small glass screen. First test with ~ 0.05 - 0.1g. Very even extraction but dam' high air restriction first of all bc of the glass screen. It's less a "screen" than more a glass plug with some notches at the sides for the airflow. Air channel of the bowl itself even is kinda tight but with the plug it's to much. My gf who can't create a higher underpressure on a bubbler nearly got nothing out of it cause of the high air restriction. Will try it tomorrow again with a basket screen made of a regular ss screen with the help of the tool from @DDave to shape bowl screens and hope it will work better. Also have to experiment with different temps. Feel it needs some higher temps than the regular bowl.

Pics and further review will follow (Sorry, but here it's 2.00 am)

EDIT: Have to say that I used the Herb Ti the first time after 6 w of exclusivly deskvaping my SH - and my Sup 3. Man, the HerbTi delivers another buzz. Not so thick vapor, smooth, but not so as the SH but it's so hard hitting. It's a real sandman for me. Good my little "Mr. Sandman" has now it's place on my bedside table.
Have to change use of my devices more often I guess.

When I wrote my last post it was 2.00 am. Excuse enough? :p;)

Unfortunately I've no macro lens and so these are the closest pics I can take

Distance to the load from the bottom is nearly the same. Intake of the MDB is around 10-12mm higher. This should be the reason for my feeling of needing higher temps for the MDB. In a few hours researches will going on.

@Hogni thank you for reporting on the MDB. It seems odd that for what came out as annexciting new accessory, we only have 2 pieces of info on still- your own report, and the original photo Seb sent me months ago.:hmm:

Have any other members here also tested the Microbowl? Please share with us if you have.

Hogni, I wonder how well the fine mesh screens Jojo supplies with the Symphony funnel bowls would work in place of the glass plug? It may be possible to slot it in to hold without a screen underneath. They are much more pliable than normal screens.

Anyhow, Im relying on you now pal for some reliable feedback to help me decide if the MDB will be worth me having, or I could just get 2 regular bowls instead. With social vaping in mind for visitors who will use their own weed.

I am thinking now maybe the Microbowl may provide an unsatisfactory experience.
I can understand where VDNM are coming from, about wanting a bit extra draw restriction in the regular bowl after trying the other extreme (apparently) the MDB provides.

I would even consider 2 regular bowls- 18 mm, and 14 mm with reducer, to offer a slightly less free flowing setup.
But I recall @Carlos8400 saying definitively that there isvno noticeabale difference in airflow between 18 and 14 mm.

If your perceptions on this changed at all Carlos, please could you let me know as it might affect my bowl choices. Otherwise- as you were!

Good luck Hogni with more testing. I sute hope you can get it to work well with more ease, would be a pity if it isn't what we have all been hoping for.

Alexis, i just did a blind test, using the 18.8mm bowl and the 14.5mm bowl + 18.8mm adapter.
I tried both combination, on my 18.8mm steamroller, eyes closed, having one then the other randomly passed to me by my girlfriend. All i did were cold pulls on an empty bowl.
Honestly, with my eyes closed i cannot tell which bowl is which, both with a clean grill and without grill.

The only thing that was noticeable was going from a week old grill to a freshly cleaned one.
A brand new grill on 14.5mm gave more airflow than a week old grill on the 18.8mm.

I am no scientist, but i think the problem is always going to be the point of most restriction in the air path.
With both the 14.5 and the 18.8mm bowls, the point of most restriction are the two holes in the glass injector. Their combined surface is smaller than either 14.5mm or 18.8mm.
With this new MD bowl, it seems the restriction is in the bowl itself, which makes sens when you see the glass plug. The holes in the bowl definitely have less surface area than the holes in the injector, meaning the bowl is now the point of most restriction.
I imagine you could increase the grooves in the plug to increase the airflow.

All that to say that IMO the only reason to get 14.5 or 18.8 is to match your glass, not to change the airflow of the vape.

Yep, regarding regular bowls there is nearly no difference between the 18 and the 14,4 mm.
Airpath of the MDB is around as wide as the downside of 14,4 joint. But the glass plug is plugging the airpath. I have to correct me. The glass plug has no notches it's more triangulary shaped (yesterday it was too dark and my eyes aren't the best anymore ;))
Will try later to form a ss screen for the airpath. But see issues to hold that thing in place.

@Carlos8400 you are already a Herborizer legend thanks very much mate for really checking this out and also for your general thoughts. You have proven many times now to be as good and willing as anyone here to go and check things out thoroughly and report back so fast, without being asked as well. Thanks man.

I will see what you think in some time @Hogni about the MDB. I def will get 2 bowls. I wont worry about 14/18 airflow difference.

I had another go with the Elev8r earlier- man it hits hard, as much as anything it feels like to me. So difficult for me to dial in each time and regulate though, to draw that line.

Still want my Ti but nice to have a play with this one in meantime.

In short.

After forming the basket screen I pushed it with the help of a pencil into the air path.
As expected it is difficulty to hold it fixed in the air path.
Air flow is waaay better. Really satisfying.
0.05g are enough to cover the screen in a thin layer. 2 (just me) hard hitting draws.
You have to raise your used temps around 0.5-1.0 for similar vapour production and taste.
Absolutly even extraction without stirring.
Must have for micro dosing!

I definitely agree with you on this. After some years I just got a battery powered portable and the thing is tiny and very convenient, I have to keep fighting the temptation of some quick hits...

That's interesting, I'm in the minority who prefers some resistance when using a bubbler.

You guys are lucky that concentrates are not as popular over there yet, the wax pens are the most dangerous for tolerance. Especially these prefilled carts with 1 gram of oil on demand at all times. You can seriously hit that anywhere and everywhere.

Yep, I drool over your pics and seriously envy you guys living in legal countries but the few times I have had some access to concentrates I could realize how it can be a dangerous road...

Lol and I see the real hashish you guys are getting in Europe and think I'd rather have some of that! Fucking human nature to want what we can't have

Well, I was waiting for someone else to offer their opinion first as I don't really trust my own much as I'm super fussy/perfectionist/ too lazy to heatsoak precisely and I didn't have much green to test with it (by payday a friend had a medical emergency and I lent it to her to stop her being a retard and combusting while having serious lung issues) but here it goes:

As an all glass solution I feel like this is a flawed step in the right direction, but when you use the basket screen mod things get much better, my opinions/feelings on it are:

- The glass puck restricts air flow too much.

- The Sloped sides of the bowl combined with a heatsoak mean whenever I load herb in, a visible vapour trail (and not a faint one) is released immediately, I find it a race to drop the injector in to stop that... (I will admit I am easily triggered by wasted/escaped vapor but when your loading 0.025-0.03g, every bit counts)

- Without a mesh screen the trichomes end up blowing down the sides of the puck where they don't get hot enough to vape.

- Fine grind has bits that will make there way down the side of the puck and remain light yellow/green (Which I find incredibly triggering).

- The glass puck, with the tiny amount of contact it has with the bowl sides doesn't really get hot, this causes it to be a reclaim trap.

- The puck, which is a reclaim trap, when tapping to empty the bowl of ABV will fly out kamakaze style every time (atleast for me), hit the ABV scattering it and skid off somewhere... getting bits stuck to it and making it gross to pick up and put back in with your fingers each time as it gets sticky (which really bugs me).

- Uneven air flow: When my puck sits in the bowl, it doesn't sit straight and tilts to one side due to a slight uneven placement of the glass "dots" which are added to the top to give clearance gaps for air to pass. (Though i'm unsure if thats a quality control issue or just... the best case scenario for this type of design?)

Couple of terrible quality pics just about showing the tilt of the puck in the bowl and the all dark brown but with a bit of light yellow/greeny colour on the side where the airflow is blocked:
o2h2CZu.jpg

pTua9zq.jpg

(can't get images to properly display, even when using IMG button...)

Micro-dose bowl with Arizer basket screen mod:

- The basket screen mod I tried out after hating the glass puck (Which was mentioned earlier by someone else) changes the game totally, takes it from an expensive waste of money to my primary bowl of choice, literally never bothered to use the 18MM bowl again.

- Really fine grind lets you load about 0.025-0.03g and get a nice cloud in 1 pull and change.

- With screen mod I haven't found the need to stir more than 3 times even when vaping 0.1g..

(And to put that in comparison, I just hit 0.1g out of my NV Flowerpot w/SH and stirred 5-7 times due to the, couple of millimeters airflow deadzone around the edge of the adjusta-bowl and bits getting stuck in the groove the screen loosely fits into... though i'll admit I am majorly triggered by seeing light yellow/green flecks in my ABV, even tiny bits)

- Areas for improvement would be find a way to ease draw restriction an tiny amount more (Like another 10% more airflow on top of what it has would be the perfect sweet spot for me atleast) and Herborizer to sell their own properly shaped basket screens for it.

As a summary, I like the Herbo + micro bowl + basket screen combo so much I have literally stopped enjoying using my NV FP w/ SH completely as a daily driver and am counting down the days till my friend gets her own vape and I can have it back.

Thanks @Ech0_ for a lot of good food for thought. I will have to try and relay some of these impressions to Sebastien when I can get a more rounded, organised view of things.

So from what you say, I would surelt want to get the Microbowl, and just try and make the basket screens work well.
Or the fine mesh screens that came with my Symphony. I hope they wil just wedge in and sit tight. Could be the perfect solution if it works.

EchO, regarding posting images- have you tried copying and pasting the "linked bb" code from the imgur sidebar next to your image? Just click on the little dropdown arrow to the left of the url text bit above your photo. Then select "linked bb" and copy that, than paste it direct here where you want your photo. See example below (together with Colorado Cookies to make today's lesson more interesting):

That's all there is to it. Have a go next time and thanks very much for your detailed report of the Microbowl.

For me, that looks VERY fixable by a glasblower....:2c:

It's reassuring to hear you say that.
I'm trying to contact Sebastien from herborizer, i know he do this kind of fix.

Neverless, this sucks and i fell sorry for you - perhaps it s an opportunity to try the new bubbler or a different piece....

I already own other kinds of rigs, i also have the smaller Ti bubbler but the one i've broken is clearly my favorite.

Thanks for your care. :)

For sure worth to ask a glassblower for repair. At this opportunity perhaps it would make sense to let make a tank joint?
Why asking Sebastien? First I would ask a local glassblower.
