"Addicted" because you vape every day?

I don't know anything about him specifically but I can imagine someone who does this kind of activity will have a long list of injuries. I ride bikes myself and do some street/bmxy type things, nowhere in this guy's league but I feel it does satisfy some "need". If I couldn't do that then I'd probably do road cycling or something. I think it's a stretch to call it addiction but I can see how it could satisfy some addicive tendencies.
Injuries are one thing, but how you respond to them is another. Do you take the appropriate time off of the activity to heal? A lot of people who are addicted to physical activity flat out refuse to stop despite being told by a doctor that they need to take weeks/months off to heal up. That's where it becomes an unhealthy mindset...when you can't stop despite it being clear to everyone other than you, that you should.

Well my doctor said anything below 2 grams a day is fine. On another note only 6 percent of people actually become addicted to cannabis, true study. Remember addiction only becomes a problem when it affects how you function in your daily life. If it is affecting your job and home life than it may be a problem. But better to be on cannabis than pharma drugs that would have a plethora of side affects. Like you said cannabis is one of the safest medicines out there to use with very little side affects and dependency. I can go on and off of cannabis easily unlike anti anxiety meds, and other heavy pain medications.
I wonder where he is getting that number. That's quite a bit of Cannnabis. I can feel residual fogginess during the day, from vaporizing the night before, and that's only ~0.5g. I consider that a side effect. Not a terrible one, but one nonetheless.

Also, 2g of bud is a very rough measurement, because you can get 10% or 25% THC bud, and the dose would be vastly different. If your doctor concerned about THC? CBD?

He mentioned that 2 grams a day is the borderline. Of course ideally you want that lower. But what he mentioned anything past 2 grams a day patients will start noticing differing side affects and it may interfere with their daily routine. He did mention that a bit of CBD each day helps counteract the negative side affects. I only use about 0.5 to 0.75 a day when needed. I never gone past 1 gram. I am able to take it for a few days and stop for a few days that is what I love about cannabis. I use it mainly for pain but also use it when my anxiety heightens. I usually take a sativa-dominant CBD in the morning and a indica dominant mixed with a indica dominant cbd at night.

Judging by the popularity of coffee I think most people feel residual fogginess the next day, whether they use cannabis or not! :D
Lol. I think a lot of people have bad sleeping habits.

I do notice a difference when I don’t vape for a day or two even, and more of a difference after a week, but its not a serious enough buzz feeling to really impede anything. It’s just a little annoying sometimes. It pretty much disappears when doing something physical or really being engaged in something, and comes on when sitting or laying still in a car or on a couch or something. It feels a bit like the last 5% of a buzz from vaping... Only noticeable if you’re paying attention and not doing much.

I’m curious if CBD would help or worsen it.

Hey dirt rider Ouch! Too true. I still ride when my friends Ducati is available, but we both have left the street and do fun speed on track days.
Definitely safer and repeatable. Same with my pot addiction. Oh yeah that is a sick bike move. Get it right or die. I'm too old for that type of shit,
but I am still amazed at the skill. Hey dirt rider what do you know about a 1970 CZ 360 motocrosser. sorry I chimed in so late, I like that 5 percent high in the morning! WTF do you think coffee is for? LOL

I am amazed at the skill and the lack of fear. I don't have the skill or balance, or the ability to overcome the fear. I know nothing about a 1970 CZ 360 motocrosser.

I see. It's cool that you have a doctor who seems to have a pretty reasonable stance on weed (neither extreme).

I've been curious about CBD, but I've yet to acquire any isolate. Since you are using CBD in THC containing bud, how does it affect the buzz, for you?

 I've actually been experimenting with matcha tea (green tea powder) to help clear myself up in the mornings, since it's the only caffeine product (other than chocolate I guess) that I can tolerate without getting jittery and uncomfortable. I haven't experimented enough to make a decision on that yet, but I do really enjoy the whole morning matcha experience and the fact that is a great supplement for many people.

That said, that barely there buzz is nice when just relaxing, but if I really want to be buzzed and relax, I can just vape. When I'm just going about my day, or working out, etc., I want to be clear and sharp.

If I were to vape several times a day, like many members on here, I feel like I'd miss experiencing the dichotomy between complete sobriety and a nice buzz. Experiencing the transition from being sober to being buzzed is one of the most enjoyable things about Cannabis.

To be honest I have not tried any high THC strains yet. The ones I have tried Have lower than 10 percent THC and about same in CBD. It depends on how I take it . If I take it in a desktop arizer v tower. I am couched and collapse. If I take it in a portable it leaves me with a sense of calm and clarity to my paranoid thoughts. It also releives my pain if I am in pain.

Personally I don't really get injured much as fear holds me back. People often talk about fear as being a negative thing but I feel it can be essential to keep you safe.
Do you think it is that clear cut, black or white? I think it is more of a scale.

I know people who drink a lot. I couldn't really call them alcoholics but they do drink an amount that can't be healthy.

Adrenaline Junkie. He gets likes on utube but if you microdose everyday, you are an addict. I always wonder why they don't wear a helmet all the time - same thrill - just saves the noggin so you can do more tricks tomorrow. I love to ride motorcycles, but I wear a ton of gear so that if I wreck, I will not be hurt and I can ride again tomorrow - people who really love what they do take steps so they can do it tomorrow. Sorry, OT.

I don't know why BMXers often don't wear helmets. In the riding I do, helmets are the norm. I think it's cultural.

You might find this information interesting, I think it could hint at notice those differences. According to these tests verified via chromatography, under 200C the THC is decarboxylating but not much is vaporizing.

Does that mean I am not getting the THC in my arizer air I use it on Green at 200C or lower White which is under 200. Maybe this is why my vtower I am getting couched because I am getting all the THC because there I go above 200 celcius because I do not cough as much with the whip at those temperatures.

I honestly don't know, but I think it would be great to see more tests like that performed with our favorite vaporizers to see how effective and efficient they really are.

Why wouldn’t you consider those people alcoholics? Are their drinking habits causing damage to their bodies or otherwise harming their lives?

No. You are dependent on water. You’re not addicted to it. You need water to live. Water and basic nutrition aren’t addictions. They are natural biological drives. The human body doesn’t need Cannabis to survive like it does with food and watermelon.

You also won’t find yourself experiencing any negative side effects from your water consumption.

Rejection hurts a lot. I understand. There is a very good chance you will find someone who is more aligned with your way of thinking. Maybe not right away. You have to help. Partners are not going to come knocking on your door seeking you out. Have you thought of using an on-line Match service? I know many people (including myself) that have found decent mates on-line. When I've used a Match service, I specifically say I use cannabis, so there are no surprises there.

Still, I hope you can appreciate a good sunrise/sunset, marvel at the intricacies of Nature and realize in the River of Life, sometimes you have bad rapids.

no way I would use online dating plattforms.
she knows I consume.
that is not the problem.
the problem is I am stuck with my shitty life like a little boy.
she wants and needs a man.
I am too troublesome.
I only want her.
but I need the intoxication to feel myself and to become "in tune" with my self.
I dont want to hide my addictions.
I am honest and I use certain things to keep me going and to be better.
I want to be better.

While it might be too soon to jump back on that horse (metaphorically speaking), online dating has been very, very good to me. I met my first wife on eHarmony and my second on OK Cupid. (That was edited. Used wrong services first time.) At least for older guys, it can work. In the meat market of youth, I have no idea.

I was a soccer bum for years and felt the same way. Not because of pot, but because of soccer taking up all my "growing up" time. At some point you make a decision and move on. For me, I, literally, came to Jesus and decided a family was more important than doing what I want and started making changes.

That being said, one complaint over regular use of cannabis used to be called the anti-motivational syndrome. Some say long-term use of cannabis might cause some disassociation from the reality of having to move forward in life. Some also have a reduced affect which makes it hard to emotionally engage with others. Finally, there may be executive function issues where, like in addiction, there seems no path forward. All these things look like they might be a part of what you're going through. With the additional stressor of a break-up, your coping mechanisms might not be healthy enough to overcome the problem.

I am too troublesome.
We all are. I am as polite as one can be but am as troublesome as well. However, a problem with being considered too "troublesome" by your partner is that it is too vague. What does that mean? Unless there were specific examples or you know of specific issues, the accusation is unfair and not designed to further communication.

You might want to take a bit of a break to see which of your thought patterns are being influenced by cannabis before making any big decisions. You might also find a friend you can talk to honestly so you can flush out some of the negative thoughts bringing you down.

Play hard. Consider your life like a balance sheet. Try to put at least one thing that is positive on that sheet every single day while generally trying to stay on the positive side of the equation with everyone you interact with. (Give more than you get.)

Play fair. Find some path that fits you. The map of the path has to be outside of yourself so that you have a check on your behavior. I choose the Bible. You may choose any work that makes sense to you. Don't let it be some ad hoc feeling because feelings change to make things easy.

Have fun. Once you get the balance down, don't forget to enjoy this life. Happiness is important to you and to those around you. Don't choose short-term things that are fun but that don't increase happiness. You might find cannabis is fun but that it is hurting your long-term happiness. You don't have to consider as to if quitting is important now. You should consider as to if some break wouldn't be better for your overall happiness.

You can do it. You can overcome. You can be happy.

Do you think many of us are cannabis addicts in denial? I guess that could be true from a certain perspective but to me that seems like an exaggeration.
I wouldn't consider the drinkers I mentioned alcoholics because they seem reasonably healthy and happy and "functional". I'm not an expert so I can't really judge.

I'm a daily user but I don't consider myself an addict ... why ....simply put .... because unlike the government would like everyone to believe I can quit weed whenever I feel like it ..... should've been around when I tried quitting smoking and drinking now that's another story
