Need a bong vape. Milk-able, Bong-rip-like, smoking from bed

TL;DR
I suck, please help me find a hard hitting vape for my bong that I smoke in bed. Only thing that matters is bed smoking and hits.

Hey guys.

I just made an account here but I've been reading the forum on and off. In other words, I am not very good at vaping and I do not know what is on the market really. I hope you forgive my ignorance.

I've done some searching on the forums and other sources and I guess I have a clue on what I am looking for so figured I would ask for input before I go crazy. The use-case and hits are the most important things to me and with them in mind VapeXhale EVO seems like a good option, but please be critical. I know there are a few similar posts about this and that is mostly where my suggestions are coming from but I felt my requirements were a little different so figured I would ask for my specific case.

Here are some specs:
Use-case: Almost exclusively night-time smoking bong in bed, watching TV.
Hit: Mimic a combustion milked bong hit.
Material: Mainly flower, 20-30% hash, might or might not smoke concentrates.
Price: Preferably under 500$, but somewhat flexible.
Bong: Leisure Swiss Tree Incycler (quite small, rip size limited).
Efficiency: Would be nice but smoking as little as I do it is not a priority, big rips are.
Stealth: Not a priority.
Connection: I would like to avoid plastic tubing for multiple reasons.
Learning curve: Doesn't matter, will get there at some point.
Temperature control: Not experienced enough to say how much this matters, but digital sounds nice. You guys decide.

For reading a little on the forum and other sources this is what I've seen, might be all wrong though:
VapeXhale EVO: Seems very close to what I want, as it seems to work good with glass, is manageable and could therefore be used in bed.
Newvape Flowerpot: Looks fucking awesome smoke wise. Didn't think it would fit my use case but I am seriously thinking if it will fit and work on my night table (shit next to my bed). Will it produce the hit I want?
Plenty: Produces vapor closest to smoking but doesn't work on glass?
EpicVape E-Nano: Most manageable that hits most of the marks, but might produce a little to thin vapor.
Bricks/Manual/Butane: Something new to me, haven't seen them before. No clue about them, might they work for my use case? I imagine them being easy to use in bed after the learning curve.

OK guys, hope this isn't too much, too little, unrealistic or ignorant.
Thanks in advance.
/k

PS:
I've had a Volcano maybe 7 years back or so that I essentially never used because it didn't fit my smoking style. In other words, quality isn't worth much if you cant use it the way you like.

Edit reason:
Updated a little on the Flowerpot.

Would a butane vape be of interest?

Just thinking the Lotus with a water pipe adapter (to use with your bong) is a nice small and convenient unit to use while in bed. There is a learning curve but if you are coming from combusting your material it should feel quite familiar in use.

You might

The Lotus Vaporizer Thread

Ultimate bed use combo for me would be something like:
Total = $228

Reasons:
  • Small and easy to manage
  • No cables
  • Heavy hitter
  • No whip (if used with either the OGB Flared Stem or SneakyPete equivalent)
  • Easy to maintain
  • Fairly cheap setup
  • Solid vape, nothing to break or go wrong
  • Adaptable
    • Lotus can be used as a pocketable vape with stem or J-Hook
    • MFLB works with other vapes and is relatively small and portable
I currently use a very similar setup but I use a custom VapCap with induction heater rather than the Lotus.

I think a Vapcap is the closest vaping experience to a bong hit that I can think of. Very similar timing and ritual, milky dense hits, and it’s quite efficient with material. The only difference is that it’s vapour and only half the material is required versus combustion.

If you’re going to get one make sure it’s a Ti tipped model as they have better initial vapour production.

Funny, I prefer using the M's Stainless Steel tip as it retains the heat for a longer hit.

The heat up time doesn't bother me though as I use @Pipes induction heater.

FYI my other VapCap custom stem for use with my MFLB is the one you made for me with the Omni condenser. I just don't have a good pic of it to post ;)

Your stem let's me set the exact air flow I want to use

I think the Flower Pot would definitely give you the hit you want. since I got mine a week ago I haven't used any other Vapes while at home. But on the table next to your bed may not be the best place for a hot E-nail, I may be wrong I don't know your situation.
I think you may be on the right path with the E-nano.
EpicVape E-Nano: Most manageable that hits most of the marks, but might produce a little to thin vapor.
I've never had a problem getting decent clouds with my Nano.
The videos below were made to highlight my exhaust set up but in the beginning of each video you can see the Nano at work.

Thanks for all the replies guys, much appreciated. This community and the knowledge floating around here, and the willingness to share it, def helps with getting over the initial info-hump.

A butane one is not out of the question, I did actually think it could be a good fit since it is somewhat similar to how i would be doing stuff today. Bed, "lighter", TV and nothing else. In general, I like the idea and I will be doing a lot more research on it. VapCap was actually in the original post i wrote, but I removed it because it felt like it produced a little to little vapor. Strange thing here is that some people here says that it is like a kick to your head, while other people seems to say that it is not a good glass piece. Haven't heard of the lotus but will look into that too.

Regarding the E-nano, that cloud aint too bad and my piece aint huge either. The nano is obviously smaller than the Evo but in regards to my use case I'm not sure they would be much different. Both could be on my night stand, both could be picked up comfortably and attached to the bong. Am I right in that the Evo is a bit more versatile, powerful and that it produces bigger clouds? What would the reason be to pick the nano over the evo?

But yeah... if I for a second believed that I can smoke comfortably with the FlowerPot I would jump on it. I might be wrong but it seems so amazingly well made, engineered and a joy to smoke from. As of now I have not yet been able to convince myself that it actually would be comfortable and then I'm back to the same situation as I was with the Volcano. Having a wonderful machine that I never use because it doesn't fit me.

I'd love to hear a little on the E-Nano vs the Evo but I will do some searching tomorrow. Now smoke, tv then sleep. Good night guys.

/K

PS:
Possibly a very silly question but are the Evo and the Evo Cloud the same device? They look exactly the same but on the VapeXhales webpage it is just called the Evo and on the retailer in my country it is called the Evo Cloud.

Say what? Little vapour? not good with glass?

I know that this is concentrates in the video, but it will do the same thing with a full load of flower. A year ago before I got a Vapcap I would have sworn that he had combusted in the video.

Yep I figured a vape that mimics a similar style to smoking a bong hit would feel more familiar to you.

The lotus seemed to be the closest in regards to the action of lighting a bong rip.

However I gotta agree with @Winegums that the VapCap can milk up a bubbler no problem. I've done hash and flower in mine and it's spun me around with ease.

@invertedisdead ain't wrong either, the FP is on my list, I'm just waiting for the HN-02 to land. Then the order is going in. However I'd be reaching for my MFLB Vapcap combo if I was going for an in bed hit. No waiting for heat up and no e-nail to deal with post hit. I believe the FP is more of a vape station tool.

If you are checking out logs then take a peek at the WoodScents, it's got a higher price tag than the nano but it's compatible with the VapCap and actually comes with one so you get a two for one deal. It basically uses the VapCap as a stem. Plus it comes with a whole bunch of other bits and bobs.

I think while I'm recommending hard hitting butane Vapes I'd be remiss not to mention the supreme 3. It's a really heavy hitter. Not sure it's as convenient to use in bed though as it is essentially a large chunk of hot metal. Although it does come with a metal stand similar to the FP. No cables though as it's heated by butane.

As with everything it's often a balance/trade off between power, features, versatility and usability. Also your vape habits, are you likely to be ripping once an hour or every three hours, large loads or micro doses.

**I still feel the most usable, versatile vape for a bedroom situation through a water piece is the VapCap, especially when used with the Induction Heater. It's so small that handling the piece is easy with nothing wobbling about up top. There are no wires to snag or fumble with. Heating is virtually instant, especially with the Induction Heater and it's painless to clean/maintain. The power is there, no doubt about it. The biggest drawback is the draw restriction when the carb is fully closed, which for the densest hit you really need it to be. Also filling lighters, I'd recommend getting several so if one runs out you can just grab the next. Then fill em all at once. Obviously not a problem if you opt for the Induction Heater.

The lotus has a larger bowl but is similar to the VapCap in use.

The Cloud EVO (Yeh the evo/cloud is essentially the Cloud EVO, I believe the EVO is an evolution from the cloud, as in its a more recent model) will have a denser hit with less draw restriction but at the cost of a tether/cord. Also in regards to all the above Vapes it is the largest and least stable to balance on top of a water tool. Takes up more bed side table space too. It's also 18mm so you'd need an adapter to use with a 14mm bubbler which I believe yours is. Compared to the Nano it's larger (EVO 2nd left, nano 3rd left):
best-desktop-vaporizers.jpg

The logs aren't so bad to balance on the water tools but still need time to come up to temp (I think nano is like 15-20min and the WS is 5-10mins) and you have a cord to contend with. Although having the logs on by the bed would be less of a concern than say an FP, some folk leave them on 24/7. The wooden bodies mostly protect the heater from coming into contact with combustible objects. Mostly :myday:

** I'm excluding the GrassHopper from the "most convenient bedroom vape" recommendation as there are some reliability issues at the moment but if Hopper Labs ever resolve those RMA problems then the Hopper is easily a top flower vape to use in bed through a water tool. Hard hitting, super convenient, no cord. Worth keeping an eye on.

I would leave my nano on 24/7 for weeks at a time if I wasn’t using a timer to turn it on or off for me.

Maybe another option to look into would be a Vapman with the heating station.:worms:

Not sure if you guys deserve a thank you or a fuck you with this wall of info :)! No but all kidding aside I appreciate this a lot, my mind has gone back and forth though. I will take the day to read through all of you recommendations, check the videos on the usage and vapor of all the recommendation and try to decide or go back in for another round of questions before I pick. For someone new like me all of this is very hard but you've gotten me up to speed as good as you can in a very short amount of time.

Currently a clean VapCap is in the lead.
Reason for this is that it is small enough and seems to be one of the easiest to use with a bong in bed. You can take it with you (even though I probably wont), use multiple heat sources, smoke what i generally smoke flower and hash. The videos you guys posted also has a lot of vapor so that is what I will continue looking for. If I'm happy with the vapor that will be my choice. Also...how can you not like that click :)?

Another reason for the VC is because I can start with butane then either go with a WoodScents log or an induction heater as a heating source, maybe even something different. Will take a little research to know what way to go but this way I could start vaping soon with butane and upgrade later.

Evo is still in the race,
but that might be the "next" buy if i enjoy vaping with the VapCap. Ill make something that mimics the Evo dimensions and weight and see how it would be using it. I might go with it still, depending on how I feel it compares to my use case and the VC.

E-Nano seems to be out of the race.
Currently VapCap + WoodScents seems nicer than the E-Nano in a lot of ways so I think it is out. If this is wrong, please feel free to correct me. But it seems VapCap + WoodScents can do what the E-Nano can do but better and with more versatility, even though the nano seems to produce OK clouds.

Lotus is cool as fuck, but I think the VapCap wins due to versatility and ease of use.

FP is currently out of the question. No matter how much I love everything about it I think it would essentially ensure that I wont vape in bed. I'd imagine the up coming GF being annoyed by an FP too:p "Wops. did me burning you wake you up?" I really do not want to smoke more than I do so the bed use case scenario is hard to budge.

I keep saying this but yeah, than you again guys. You've made something I've been wanting to do for a while a lot easier.
Best regards
/k

Level 30 Nature/Healer
Fury 2. I like using it way more than my Hoppers now. Very comparable production, but better battery life, I have a live stream where I use it over the course of an hour straight for 8 bowls on one battery charge. gH is about 2.5 bowls per battery. Way more comfortable native if you end up wanting to do that, and through water the glass adapter is nice but honestly I think a rig/mod with the default mouthpiece will provide even denser hits but their new water pipe adapter might be an improvement.

This video shows a comparison of the Rebel (Fury 1 Rebrand), Hopper, Lithe, and Flowerpot all great milkers.

This video is just an extra..

First, welcome to FC @korupt.yg .

My biggest concern for your usage is preventing a fire. If you were not in bed, I would think that the Flower pot would be great. In bed, having a loose heater does not seem smart.

Woodscents is a better choice safety wise, IMO. The vapcap with the induction heater seems about the safest if you were to fall asleep.

I would also suggest you check out the Tubo Evic thread. the Tubo is STRONG and very versatile. Since it is battery powered (power adapter available) it would be safe. If your usage is 100 % home/through water you might consider a Box Mod and a Tubo x which is made in two pieces so you can have the heater in your bong and the batteries on the floor or table.

http://shop.lamart.ch/index.php?route=common/home Here is the link for the Tubo line. The maker of the Tubo line of vapes also sells whips of varying types and lengths and even bases to hold your bong steady.

Another possibility would be the Arizer extreme Q with a @DDave adapter to get VERY strong hits and finish a "bowl" in one or two hits. uses a whip and can work with water.

The main differences between the Lotus and the Vapcap are that:

- The Lotus emulates a pipe experience while a Vapcap is similar to a joint.

- The Lotus requires a single jet lighter while the Vapcap can be heated in a number of ways, with the induction heater being a wonderful silent and flame free choice for the bedroom.

- The Lotus is heated with a flame WHILE you toke, whereas the Vapcap is heated, THEN you toke. The Vapcap does not require a flame to come close to your face.

I use my Vapcap in bed with an induction heater that sits on my bedside table. It's convenient, attractive, easy to use and you get stoned within a minute. Less than a minute if you preloaded. Easy peasy.

This is one of the friendliest toking-communities I've experienced, hope to be able to give something back when I get into vaping. Keep up the great work guys.

I keep reading reviews and the threads but yeah, OmniVap is still the top contender. I haven't had time to review some of the recent mentions here so that will be on my table tonight.

I'm starting to get the feeling that there are some that you can't go wrong with, so why not buy one of them and then get a new one if you get bored of it. I am currently looking for a DynaVap (thinking OmniVap XL but need to figure out the diffrence between a VapCap m) conf that will work well with a torch, WoodScents and an induction heater. Searching the forum now if I need some specific ones to fit with the hears and the bong.

My first choice for bong rip like hits from a vape is the Flowerpot next would be the EVO. The Supreme V3 is an awesome butane vape that delivers awesome hits.

In your situation (bed Vape) I would probably go with the EVO over the Flowerpot.

IMO the vapcap is to restricted to be comparable to a real bong hit.

i don t want to take away any fun, but the more i think about it, the harder it seems to find your perfect solution.... the GH would be great and if you can live with retunrning it multiple times it might be the best bet.... just in my very own opinion and experience, bong + vape + bed don t really functions, i fear you will experience this too with for example vapcap & woodscents.

Perhaps think again a bit about your priorities? what could you compromise better, bed or bong?

If you want to get the hrdest hitting bonghits - Flowerpot on a little table besides your bed?

If you want to really lay in bed while vaping - Mighty for example?

vapcap / woodscent: woodscent dry in bed, through water at a table, dry and with torch on the go?

just my :2c:

I'm not here to defend the FP, but I'm just saying as an owner of both of those vapes I really don't see how a Flowerpot is more dangerous than a Vapcap in bed. Both of them will burn you if you touch them while they are hot. Trust me! :brow:

I had my FP on my night stand for a while, worked fine but I hang out at my desk so that's where it's currently set up.

It really depends on how many sessions you do a night and how high your tolerance is.
If you're a hardcore hard to satisfy toker only certain vapes will fill the void. If you only take a puff or two in the evening you probably don't need a heavy hitter desktop.
