CCA Liger banger V3.0

I got mine at dablabs.com i think its called. May have the in front. I bought from them before and they ship pretty fast. I have never been to that site you linked.

I got mine at Dab Lab also, but 52nd Street is good and he sells direct at directionalairflow.com also.

It's an obsession but it's pleasin'
52nd Glass Shop says they are in stock but when I add it to my cart it says they are out of stock, oh well.
I can't seem to find the terp trunk on thedablab, but there seem to be these similar ones:

https://www.thedablab.com/jason-hoyes-carb-cap-with-directional-flow/
https://www.thedablab.com/quartz-tech-glass-carb-cap-with-directional-flow/

Besides these I am looking up 30mm directional airflow carb caps and most of the XLs I am finding fit up to 25mm.

Like @scalescliffs said, go direct to the source.

OK, I got a 30mm with the dimple in the bucket :( CCA should have clearly stated these were factory seconds, I would have paid more for a proper unit. I even included a note with my order praising them for their design.....and they shipped me an inferior product knowingly. The dimple causes the entire bowl to teeter, and I have no idea if I am getting proper results. I am thinking of just trying to sand the nib down, what do you all think?

chillin on the couch, sippin off a 22 ounce.
Can some kind soul just hire Josh and put him out of his misery? The Liger has SO much potential if someone with an understanding of business took over.

Amen! And hostile takeover GH Labs' ass while they're at it too!!

After a couple weeks with the 30mm Liger I’m just not able to achieve the same flavor intensity that I can with the 20mm. I’ve got all the right tools with the AH coil and sapphire insert, but the 20mm still wins the flavor race by a mile.

I’ve been trying to figure out why this is and my theory is that the wide, shallow bucket on the 30mm allows terps to escape during the first couple seconds while I’m spreading the dab. I start my inhale just before I apply dabber to bucket, but the suction created at the pipe inlet is insufficient to pull all of the vapor across the bucket and into the pipe before I can get the dab spread and carb cap on. I can watch this vapor escape as I’m inhaling and trying to get the dab spread. With the 20mm Liger the deeper, narrower bucket captures the initial terp vaporization more fully and directs it into the pipe inlet.

I also find the 20mm to be easier to spread my dab since I can move the dab tool around the edge of the insert a few mm above the bottom and the dab just flows down into the bucket. With the 30mm it takes me an extra second to spread the dab and it runs up the tool more often than when I dab on the sidewalls of the 20mm.

I know a lot of people prefer the 30mm and I’ve even heard a rumor that CCA is going to phase out the 20mm for V4. I’m wondering if I’m missing something here as far as technique. Anyone else experienced with both 20mm and 30mm who agrees or disagrees with me about flavor? Any tips or tricks for better flavor with the 30mm?

After messing with the 20mm for the past two days. I agree that the 20mm has a terpier taste that the 30mm. with all else being the same. Even if you trap the initial vapor on the 30mm and get all that first terpy vape, its still not as tasty as the 20mm.

Anyone who owns a 20mm Liger, does your insert shake and rattle inside the bucket when you cap it with the tsunami cap? It also happens when i spin the hurricane cap too. If i suck really slow, it wont rattle.

I don’t have a measuring tape. What is inner diameter of bucket plz.

Was looking on trying a few of these if they fit inside well.

My coil arrived. I’m keeping unit. Just need a better carb cap. Good hits at 425F. Still gonna grind my dimple off in next few days. Need better carb cap. Ordered a bunch of cheap caps off dhgate for 35mm-50mm buckets

425? I love low temp but that seems too low....unless you're somehow quoting your dish temp

so i got my 30mm earlier this week. i have both the sic and obsidian insert. but been rocking only the sic so far.

with the exception of the polished inside of the obsidian, it and the sic look surprisingly similar.

I've been going at 550 and getting great taste. with my 16mm (using a different enail controller) i was dabbing at 610 and with that same controller and my 20mm coil and quartz bucket i found 570 to be the sweet pot

comparing the 30mm to 16mm, I'm finding the 30 to be a big improvement. i can finish the dab in 2 or 3 rips instead of many using the 16mm one. It's also a lot easier to remember to swab it because I've got it finished much quicker. im also happy to see it dropped the temp a bunch using a new enail. Needed the flatcoil version and i could not find one in mini xlr format easily.

tiny nub. but i think it's working just great

Has anyone bought a Liger at full price, without any discount or sales, and still received a nip on the bucket bottom? I am wondering if this is normal now or not.

I did receive a support ticket on both my Bundled Ligers. Im so curious how this is going to go down. I just want two shiny silver Ligers in 20 and 30mm Ligers without any chips, dents, scratches and hopefully nipless in the bucket bottom.

I agree, 425F on a 30mm Liger seems really low. Low on anything actually. I thought i was pushing it at 474F but i do a lot of full melt hash, rosin and sauce which low temps work well.

Side note, I just found out that i can use my Chadbro Terp Trunk V2 as a carb cap for the 20mm Liger upside down. The bubble on the handle side provides a 100% air tight seal. Its not that bad to use. Just need that dam directional hole wider!

Questions on the bubble caps for the 20mm Ligers such as the Gordo Riptide bubble cap. Do they all touch the insert inside when moving the cap?

When I switched from my 20mm to 30mm Liger for the first time I left the controller at the same temp and took a hit. Then I measured the insert temp with k-type probe and it was 425*. That temp works pretty well for me using the tsunami cap and ~40mg dabs. I think it's because of the big dabbing surface since I can't go that low on my 20mm.

I have 2 of these and they both can touch the insert when moving the cap. Since the nipple creates a vortex of air and sits just a few mm above the insert I don't really find it helps much to move the cap around though. It already seems to do a good job of pushing the oil around.

Honi soit qui mal y pense
NV D-Nail SiC Wraparound!
Or a DabBulb by Kilby bc it's so nice.
Maybe a 25mm banger by eternal quartz

i'd love to own an eternal drop bucket system but i'll never pay those prices... :D same goes for a dab bulb.

Funny i don't mind paying for a liger though. I think I'm gonna have to google this d nail thing i keep hearing about though.

for versatility the eternal quarts setup is torch based so that give you multi use features... (ie. power outage or away camping etc)

I'm wondering this myself. I got a reply from support earlier today saying that the nipple on the bottom is typical to 'every single flat coil Liger' they sell, but that the chip on my bucket should absolutely not be there and my case is being passed along to a manager.

Makes me think it legitimately is part of the product. Whether it affects the quality of it is an entirely different question.

Ditto.... got the same. I am really curious on how they will handle this situation. This is gonna say a lot about www.CCA710.com as company.

we all know they make a great product and kept buying shit from them despite the customer service issue. But if the QC starts to fail and this happens, its going to be hard to ignore to keep spending money here.
