I'm always being high to fall asleep
I know I might be crucified for saying this, but I could give 2 shitz.

This is one of 2 reasons I always keep a little one hitter around. If I have problems sleeping, a couple toots off that little bastard helps knock me out. (Vaping energizes me, even if it's an Indica)

The other reason is for hangovers. Helps relieve any nausea or headaches better/faster than vaping for me. It's all about a means to an end.

The plastic bag I pick up dog shit with is dramatically worse for the environment than the dog shit I'm expected to pick up.
I think it would depend on which moment in time you choose as the reference point. If before the making of the bag AND the "making" of the feces, probably not. Feeding a dog has environmental effect. While some are trying to feed dogs vegan food only, my dogs are not having such nonsense. And, meat is environmentally expensive.

If you choose the moment of decision as the reference point, you might be right. Leaving the dropping may not be as environmentally bad as picking it up with a bag. Won't make you popular with the neighbors, however.

The dog I coexist with loves her vegan food. It helps a lot with her allergies.

I think LA county shelter system is considering going vegan. I don't think it is for environmental reasons, or for the health of the dogs. It seemed more of an ethics-type thing.

But, for an individual home where a person could research and monitor a specific dog's needs? That is different.

You could use one of those shit picker uppers ..... it's sort of like a combination broom and shovel. Most people buy them so they don't have to bend down. Then just dump the contents into a garbage can.

Random Thought....Dog shit kills....it kills grass if left on someone's lawn, in the heat of summer when the sun beats down on those turds mow your lawn to spread that smelly goodness killing your sense of smell (Or wishing it did) and if someone continues to leave it where it lands it could get them killed ;)

Contrary to popular belief .... dog poop is not a fertilizer.

Yes of course, used to have one of those but I currently live in an apartment, If I had a yard of my own, no doubt!

My dog does not eat dead animals so it would work fine as a fertilizer.

My lawn irrigation system croaked. The automatic Rainbird box isn't working even when manually engaged. Several sprinkler pop-ups no longer pop-up and the drainage line connected to my gutters no longer pop-up.

I did my homework to figure out which companies to do business with and then called 4 of them to get some estimates since this is looking costly.

Most of the companies refuse to provide free estimates.......
- One company said the estimate would cost between $80 to $150 depending on how much time it would take. As part of the estimate they fine tune the system. If you don't hire them you're out the cost of the estimate.
- One company said it's a flat $75 to do an estimate and they don't repair anything and the $75 isn't applied to the repair.
- One company said it's $100 to do the estimate and if you give them the job the $100 is applied to the repair.
- One company doesn't charge for the estimate.

I'm also a contractor and I don't charge for discovery work because I want the work and the opportunity to sell myself to the client.

Random Thought: Maybe I'll just use the company that doesn't charge for an estimate......

I understand company rules and can certainly see a business model that wants a fee to take the time to do an estimate. I agree with @His_Highness, just because there is some underlying reason does not make the rule the best choice.

I tried to call a software provider yesterday in order to ask a couple of questions. I suspect that, if the answers came as I thought they would, I would buy a software suite that would have cost about $700. Before the answering of a single question, the representative needed my client #. I didn't have it handy so she asked for other information. I gave it to her but she said it was not in the system. I gave more info. Nope, not in the system. Rather than submitting to further anal probing, I asked why we need to continue down this identification path when all I have is a couple of questions. "The rule is, we can't talk to anyone until the screen comes up." I thanked her and hung up.

Bought less-capable software that still does everything we needed for $154 from another vendor.

Oh shit I just got super super super blazed from just switching to a different vaporizer that I haven't used since my short T Break. Which here's another random thought for you. Taking a very short vacation to the city with only a tiny tiny bit of weed was awesome. The first night I micro dosed, second morning I micro dosed and then 48 hours of no vaping. We were having so much fun it wasn't so bad. In the morning and at night I craved it a bit, but I had another yummy local ipa and forgot about it. lol Now my tolerance is very low again. Ok, time to go to work.

Wow! Only 8 members on FC Friday night west coast time at 8:30 PM in the U.S. Folks must be busy. I hope everyone is having a good start to their new year.

I have a friend at work whose daughter whos 22 unexpectedly had a baby. She didn’t know she was pregnant. She isn’t a heavy girl either, she had gained only a few pounds. Strangest thing. Everyone is happy but very surprised. She had stomach cramps and they got really bad. They called 911. The baby was delivered at home. Then the paramedics transported. Most important - the baby is healthy far as they can tell.

I met someone who gave birth without knowing they were pregnant. She had her baby taken away and then she had to fight to get the baby back. Oh yeah, because she didn't know she was pregnant they did a drug test which came back positive for cannabis, so child is automatically taken.
I honestly didn't believe she could go through pregnancy without ever realizing she was pregnant...but after knowing her for a few years, I believe it's true. She seems like the type that wouldn't slow down to ever notice much. lol

@Morty I have the vapcap by the bed with a lighter. The lighter lets me see enough to use the vapcap, which is already loaded. I have no issues with manual dexterity, cause if I did this wouldn't work very well due to the need for twisting the device. In the past, I've used one of my logs just left on with a loaded stem waiting for me to wake up at 2:30.
Actually, right now I have not been trying to go back to sleep for a few hours and then return since I just sleep less than my Love.

I just finished marking papers and was looking for a reason to vape and saw that the clock read 4:20. OK.

"marking papers" ???? So what are you writing on Zig-Zags?

Random thought: How's it going with rec sales in Calif??

Memories of falling asleep in bed with a loaded pipe, waking in ashes...:disgust:

I get my sense of humor mostly from my mother.

Proof? After my father had a massive heart attack & was in a coma the doctors did a brain scan which found no activity. My mother couldn't resist asking what change that was from before. (He had earned that, hence the divorce!)

I'm trying to start going to college in a few weeks and I still have so much work to do for it I wish I could work part time starting now...
I went back to school as a way, way adult and it was amazing. No more jumping through hoops, just learning the things I found useful. I don't think it was because I was older/wiser/grumpier. I think it was because I experienced real work--the kind that keeps you alive--before going back. It keeps you from wasting your time with baloney that keeps you from your goal.

Congratulations and good luck.

Yes, yes. A thousand times yes. I am in the same place. Trying to figure out all that needs to be done before... I don't know how I will fit school in with this life that already doesn't let me sleep. I am sick of looking at the past few years & knowing I have just wasted it though, and don't want to look at the next few years in the same light a few years from now. Will this help me get the hell out of this awful life I now am stuck in? Who knows...
