most discreet is an induction heater!

protip: NO acetone. or say bye to your o-rings/x-rings (no shit sherlock. what was I thinking!?!?!). the rings in my tip are ruined. Maybe I'll have to shim it with paper or something so it can stay on the stem. ordered a kit that comes with rings, once it arrives it should be fine I hope
cap seems fine, clicks twice heat/cool. tested on gas stove. it was making a boiling sizzling noise at first though, while heating.

Yes, if you have the cash, I'd definitely just get the portable induction heater. That's my next pick up.
Good mention.

Think I might bite the bullet and get one of the m versions,I'm not a massive smoker ,and definitely love to try the microdose routine ,I have a bit of social anxiety and would love a little hit rather drink alchohol ,alchohol is having a reverse affect the next day higher anxiety on me these days , anybody have any suggestions on which strains are good for mood lift and sociability
I’m an indica man myself, but if I have a gathering to attend and don’t wanna get couch locked or anxious, nothing beats Jack Herer. It’s one of the only sativa strains I can use with confidence. It is an energetic mood elevator that won’t make you freak out. All in moderation though lol

The orings won't like ANY of the cleaning solutions mentioned. I don't soak my tips, I usually clean them out by running a q-tip soaked in ISO through the condenser and tip. If a tip is really gunky I may soak a tip up to just short of the orings or take them off before cleaning (haven't actually done the removal yet). I have a few sets of replacement orings I haven't yet needed, but are in the repair kit waiting for when they will be. I consider the orings a consumable and I know they will need to be replaced at some point.

And I imagine joining you every time you say it. It just sounds so restful... ;)
It's my extravagance. I had an outdoor hot tub about 20 years ago. I came to love soaking for long periods in hot water. Now a days, it's just an inside tub, but it has high sides that brings the water up to my shoulders in a room with windows that look out at the woods. I love watching the snow fall while I vape on my Vapcap and tuck into a book or hang out here.

A bit of degummed hemp fiber might do the trick. Spin a length of it between your fingers to form a cohesive thread and wind it around your tips oring channels.

I am a sativa fan but never recommend it. So many people seem to prefer indicas that I feel that I may be in the minority who enjoys the clear headed energetic rush of sativa effects. I LOVE Jack Herer or any Jack. They're all fantastic!

I'm not what you'd call a prepper, but I do live in a remote area and I like to be prepared for some sort of shit hitting the fan. Whether it is becoming isolated for a few weeks in an ice storm or some sort of more serious societal break down, I work towards ever increasing self sufficiency.

I know that my Vapcaps will last a lifetime, each of them, so I'm set that way. I have a stash of a dozen cans of butane, a pile of lighters and a whole bunch of extra orings and CCDs for the Vapcap. The orings can last a good time and the tip can remain functional and secure with less than the full compliment. But it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside to know that my Vapcaps are set up to perform flawlessly for several lifetimes.

Yeah @Squiby and these days it’s tough to find a pure Sativa or Indica anyway. Most people, regardless of preference are using some form of hybrid, regardless of what the label shows.

We are lucky in Canada, especially in BC that we have so much variety and so many competing dispensaries that we can pick strains like we can pick craft beer. I befriended Dr Paul Hornby. I learned a lot from that guy about weed 101. Another great resource is the Tricome Institute videos on YouTube. Leafly is a great site and good app too.

Quick thing on M technique that find works awesome. If you keep the carb closed and do a mouth pull, like you would on a joint or cig, then when you feel you’re running out of air, open the carb and lung inhale.... all one motion without stopping. I find that works awesome. When you feel like your out of air from your mouth pull, you actually have a lot of lungs left, and the open carb let’s you take some cool air in and reduces the strain against your lungs.

I find I can get a few repetitions in one complete inhale. And the clouds are awesome.

You got that right. When I find something nice, I load up. But mostly I've had good luck growing the magic beans.

I prefer the BC dispensaries to those in other provinces. Nice selection, quick turnover and some pretty decent prices can be had. Awesome sales. We are blessed.

You got it! The mouthpull rules with the M or any other Vapcap. It's very gentle on sensitive on lungs. To gild the lily, try a hemp filter to trap any fine particular from entering the air path. This creates even smoother hits with no coughing or irritation. Also your Vapcap will stay clean for a long long time.

@CuckFombustion .

OMG!! Your new babies are beautiful. I have a couple @stardustsailor stems coming my way soon. Any day. Any day now.... In the mean time I will oogle yours.

Hi @CuckFumbustion, where did u get that glass vong in the middle? I love that wooden vapcap case
The glass Vong was a local head shop find. Bought it long before I had a VC. Note that the cap is tucked inside the stem.

The Burl wood case has quite a cross section of tree where you can get some lighter swirl patterns and range of color depth that this wood is known for.

Someone should clone the glass stem.:2c:

So it is ok to place the caps in 90% ISO?

Not familiar with IPA. Is that ISO by another name.

We absolutely positively need another DynaVap sales blowout this week!

This thread is almost 1000 pages long and @Squiby is VERY CLOSE to 2000 posts! :o

The planets are aligned George so show us some love.
Your avatar states you believe in some kind of creator?
Dynavape "M" I have so am I going to hell? (ACCORDING to U)

I'm curious. My caps never get dirty, but I don't do concentrates. Are the folks who want to soak their caps all using concentrates? Or are we talking carbon from using a soft flame (which I haven't done either)? I would think wiping off the carbon would be enough.

Please tell me more about @stardustsailor 's stems.
I don't have my new stems yet, but.. All his stems are stunning and by all accounts more beautiful in person. I love the hammered and the bark look, like yours. In fact I thought that you're green anodized titanium bark etched stem was a Stardustsailor stem.

He briefly worked with niobium stems but went back to titanium. He gifted his first niobium masterpiece to me. To say that I am thrilled to death is an understatement!

He also made me a custom titanium two tone hammered stem with a stylized mp.

They have been in Canada for a few weeks now. I'm hoping they are delivered this week!! I'm so excited!

The @stardustsailor VC has found a new home.....Thanks FC!

The Stardustsailor custom green titanium VC in the foreground and the burl carrying case from Ed's are my gift to one of you fellow VC lovers.

So that is what I know about it. It looks like 3 separate sections on the outside. However it looks like one straight tube on the inside. Nice. :D
The chisel pattern of the stem kind of resembles a wood grain pattern as well as bark look you mentioned. You can turn and angle it toward the light and have different hues of metallic green too oogle over.
Just went to the link and checked out the other range of metal cut patterns and colors. All nice.

After combusting
Interesting. I have combusted in at least 2 of the 3 VCs in my current rotation (not in a week or 2) and the only odor I get from the caps on them is from the current strain. No combustion smell at all, and I haven't cleaned either of them.

Just one data point I concede...

Gotta say I love his stuff. I'm sure at least one of his pieces in in my future...

@Mr.Sifter, yes, you can hook up the mflb UFO. I didn't think to try it until I saw your post. I used the fat mouth piece and pushed the mflb straw (or whatever you call it) through it from the inside and voila. It works a charm, as they say.

It's not my favorite pairing, I barely use my UFO, my orbiter on the other hand is a favorite. I feel like I really sacrificed flavor on the first couple hits but the vapor was very cool. In the future, like maybe an hour or so, I could see myself hitting 2-3 heat cycles on the cap and then finishing if off with a few cycles through the UFO.

But yes, it is easily done.

Ha, brilliant! I never thought to incorporate the fatty mp in this setup, I did the easy thing and bought a 14mm whip attachment. Beautiful stem from @stardustsailor btw

This is site of CANNABIS CONSUMPTION using a VAP CAP so I'm sorry to be confused?
Hey buddy, I know you're only joking around, but jokes about religion and politics can easily be offensive to people reading words on the internet and lead to mis-understandings, flame wars and OT BS in general. As you so eloquently stated, this site is about CANNABIS CONSUMPTION (well, specifically vaporizers of Cannabis) so please keep that in mind when addressing your fellow fuckers of combustion. ;)

BTW you are definitely going to hell and I hope I get a condo near you down there.

:peace:
