Yep, that's the link. Thnx @highasakite. I've haven't had to change a battery yet. I'm sure one of the vets can chime in.

Tried just concentrates wrapped in a little bit of hemp fiber tonight w/ the Sup. Very nice. Super tasty & heady af. Still like my concentrate sandwiches best though.

I am going to try the dab in cotton. Also going to try some stem milk concoction tomorrow. Ice cream seems like a good mixer.

Morty, your Dually listed in the classifieds is such a good deal. It is so shiny and clean. I want to buy it even though I have no use for it. My single is all I need.

Yep, that's the link I was looking at - still says Out of Stock - Notify Me When Available? :hmm:

I have searched the thread, but can't find much on how to change the battery in the thermometer. It doesn't need to be changed quite yet, but I'd like to be prepared. :) Ed's directions on the instruction sheet didn't provide much help. I think I can see how it's attached at the top and bottom of the display, but it seems like a really tight fit and I want to avoid any breakage or mishaps.

Super easy, it just pops off as it's held by two small plastic tabs IIRC. I then use a small tool to push the battery out as it's retained by a metal tab. I've only had to do it once, but twice I had to "fix/adjust" the battery instead of replace as it must have been bumped out of position.

Bastard! Maybe flower will be back in my life! If I find the time I will get to those double and triple decker videos! :brow:

But seriously, that's the BEAUTY of the sv3.... you can VAPORIZE concentrates at FLOWER TEMPS - so those double deckers are truly sublime! Fuck enails and conduction dabs!

I had no issue purchasing the stems @Morty mentioned on vapeworld. Just purchased a few right now and still see availability.

I think it detects my IP being in Canada. How much do the stems come up as? For me it's $10CAN but again it says out of stock. I have a feeling they are only available in the USA. I'll shoot them a message.

@Morty how is it possible that I can tolerate sammies more than straight flower bowls? I'm back on the flower, but only with a touch of rosin to make the hit smoother? And more potent!

$10usd per stem. Like 17.40 for two after discount.

Thanks mayne. That's the OCD. Hopefully, we'll have a new Supreme owner joining us soon!

It's possible the equivalent flower dose is harsher due to having more expectorants - terpenes, cannabinoids, and biomolecules than extracts. That's my current theory. I can see someone debating that it's the removal of exogenous plant material, which I used to believe, though I'm less convinced of that currently. Don't know why adding rosin to flower would make it smoother other than concentrate seems to buffer the flower from vaporizing so quick.

Wouldn't the rosin have more terpenes, cannabinoids, etc due to it being a concentrated flower? I get thicker denser vapour, and that seems to work for me. Perhaps without the rosin, especially with unground flower, the vapour is thinner and causes discomfort similar to a full convection vape like the FP we were discussing in the GS thread lol. Something about that hot air to vapour ratio... i just can't tolerate vaping hot air without a substantial amount of vapour in it!

I'm actually starting to believe what you used to believe! :brow: At least in practice i'm finding this the case, since i've used nearly all the vapes out there and none seem to be working for me long term. Why else would rosin be so much smoother? Pretty sure my rosin doses are larger than flower equivalent.

Still have lots of testing to do! :ko::science:

Very well thought out & presented aptly as per usual.

I think it's just that @biohacker has the Nancy Boy Cocaine Whore Blues personally. :haw: Come on BH, grow a pair and vape some flower by itself!

I've been vaping more flower exclusively per day than many do on this forum per week or month! And going over a decade strong. You'll see once you pass 40... if you make it ;) My lungs have finally said F-U and I have some new athletic goals I want to achieve... the next time i'll be vaping some flower by itself won't be with the sv3 ;)

Unless the electric sv3 is released and shipped inside 2 weeks

Not when you adjust for yield! I posted about this in another thread recently; I was talking about solvent extracts specifically, but I believe the principle is still true for solventless. More thorough lab tests would help build conclusive information.

1 gram of rosin is going to have more cannabinoids, terpenes, and unidentified biomolecules than 1 gram of flower. But it's going to take more than 1 gram of flower to make that 1 gram of rosin. Assuming a 20% yield, that's a 1:5 ratio. When adjusting for yield, a .1g rosin dab would be about the equivalent of .5g of flower. If I was to vape .5g of flower at once, it's going to have all those extras that were lost or not carried over during the rosin extraction process. We know for a fact rosin is not extracting everything in the flower, as you can still vape the chips afterwards.

Even a small amount of flower can blow up a room into smelling like a dank factory. I knew something was off with this whole extract scene when the terpenes were supposed to be concentrated, yet the starting material has a way louder smell. Funny cause the answer was in front of me the whole time - you can't have more terpenes than you started with!

I'm actually starting to believe what you used to believe! :brow: At least in practice i'm finding this the case, since i've used nearly all the vapes out there and none seem to be working for me long term. Why else would rosin be so much smoother?

Have you ever used concentrates exclusively for a long term? A year or longer? I used to feel the exact same way that they were smoother. To be honest everything feels harsh to me lately! Maybe I'm just sick! A lot of weird shit in the air after those fires here, all those toxic chemicals aerosolized into the local environment....

Dually Daze!!! Excuse my sniffling. I had to work outside Friday night & I'm coming down w/ a cold. Though, a little warm water, a sticky lil' nug, & a low temp on the Supreme makes my lungs feel great! Smooth as silk & no coughing. Soothing almost. But, we're all different.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!
Same to you bro! I was just bustin' your balls earlier. You gotta take care of you. I understand that. Maybe a break from vaping bud is a good idea & just stick to the rosin.

Pretty sure my rosin doses are larger than flower equivalent.

I think my sv3 bowls average around .1 max, and my rosin dabs are maybe .05-.1 or so. I'm definitely more than adjusting for yield? Shouldn't the rosin dab be way harsher?

We know for a fact rosin is not extracting everything in the flower, as you can still vape the chips afterwards.

That depends on the efficiency of the squish/apparatus, but is it not possible to have the full spectrum minus a small % loss with rosin?

Never, so this will all be new territory for me, although i'm greatly enjoying double deckers now because of @Morty !

Nice! Loving those low temps! You are the master of lighting! :brow: Smoke show!

Wow really riding the rhythm here as I've had some great rosin to mix with some real outstanding weed, and the Supreme seems to handle this seamlessly with no muss no fuss. Really smooth hits at 180 as this weed needs higher heat than usual. First long pull leaves me comatose for a few, sweats, disorientation; I mean wow; have to sit back and chill.

Shameless cross post from the Vape Temp Charts thread.

Here's a vape temp chart of the Supreme V3. Apologies for being such a busy chart, but I wanted to make it self-explanatory.

8CFkgUk.jpg

I probably should've gone up to a higher temp, but force of habit makes me stop the torch when it hits 165°C.

The thermocouple measuring inside stem temps made getting a good seal with the bubbler difficult/impossible, so a slight air leak was present during the draws.

Obligatory boring video:

Thanks for the Glass stem link. Let me try to repay the favor.

SV3 Battery change:
Iiq1ysu.jpg

First squeeze the top and bottom of the thermometer to get the tabs free from the SV3 .
cJ4mrhO.jpg

The thermometer should tip forward to allow access to the battery.
y3HOqP6.jpg

Pry up this little metal tab:
wBpEuGq.jpg

If you push from the bottom the battery should slide up
L0VNMGH.jpg

It may take a little force but the battery should slide out
GIaEwr1.jpg

Now put the battery back bend the little tab to hold the battery and reattach the thermometer to the SV3.

Bonus:
If your display shows "LLLL" like below
9d72igh.jpg

you most likely have a damaged wire.

Almost there...
@Morty

I have been diligently practicing with my single SV3 for a day or so!
Getting the hang of when to stop heating and where my favorite profiles are at.
Once dialed in, i will perform my crazy stunt... Sounds like a Sunday afternoon type of deal!
I have to say that i have missed my SV3 but the inconsistencies with heating make it not as viable for me. i may look into the eNail heated version when it becomes available.

Lower temps are just amazing with this vape!
Flavor is out of the world!
