AirVape Vaporizer

Most of the patients I work with are senior citizens... and most with dexterity issues....
So I understand your frustration.
What you likely needed was someone familiar with the unit to guide you through initial usage
first time.
Patience is worth it, the unit is a great vape.

It is obvious you are enjoying the AirVape.

I just was curious about Vape Critic making the claim that this is the best sub $200 vaporizer.

Any thoughts?

I gave mine up to a patient in need, because that was the intended purpose it was donated for.
I sorely miss the unit, and while I had it, I was always very anxious to use it again.
I now wait for the opportunity to own one, and to make it into my regular portable.
If we had the funds for the unit, I would be using it right now!

I might tend to agree with him.

WOW! That is some endorsement from an unpaid reviewer of your stature. In reality you suddenly made me want "the best vape under $200"

Before, it just seemed to be a gimmick, now I want one.

My buddy called me this weekend, haven't seen him in awhile. Wanted to hang out and let me know he got a new vape. Told me it was the AirVape XS

I was kind of skeptical when I heard him mention it to me. Hadn't ever heard of this vape, and I gave him recommendations in the past (which he disregarded and got China crap) so I was not really expecting much.

It's actually pretty nice. Only thing I didn't like was seemed like the mouthpiece pulled out a bit or just the lip part, hard to tell. It seemed to stick to my lip.

Heats up fast. I was able to rip it hard and got good vapor, heater seemed to keep up. He likes vaping at some stupid high temp but we set it down lower and the taste was pretty stellar.

I would recommend it as a budget or a discrete style vaporizer. I really liked the form factor of it and it seemed like it would be good for on the go. I am not sure how great the battery is in it though.

Love it.
While that is an "at Wholesale* (or almost) cost.....
I am delighted to say I picked one up from Craiglist for $30
It was untidy, but cleaned up real pretty... and I am using it now.
While it was a bit dirty (easy to clean and reassemble that mouthpiece) The original screen cover plastic was still on it!
I wound up with Gold again.... but would have loved to have the red/rose color!

It was mentioned here by some members, that the Airvape XS is considered to be the best Vape for under 200$.

I would be interested, if that claim stays true after testing the Fury/Fury2. Maybe someone has both Vapes and is able to advice on this.

Reason is that my Girlfriend loves my Fury 2 and wanted to buy one for herself but I am always interested in testing new Vapes, so I suggested that she can have the Fury 2 and we get something in a similar price range instead of having two Fury 2s.

I already satisfied my VAS with several things and there are only the more expensive Vapes left that I am really interested in, but rumors have it that those are going to have a new iteration coming out soon (Crafty, Mighty).

Actually I am curious if the Airvape XS brings something new to the table in my current lineup (all my Vapes are listed in my signature). Any advice is highly appreciated.

Thank you. :)

@mephisto

Thanks for the fast reply and good advice. Then I will try to wait out the companies until their new products arrive and save some cash until then. :)

@sickmanfraud

I completely forgot about Black Friday. VAS is under control for now but I don't know what happens when there are good deals for Vapes. :D

Thanks for the reminder.

The airvape X is a good vape.
The new unit shipping in December is the same unit ...except They will be releasing it in a new color, and with a ceramic mouthpiece and connector.
We're eager to introduce our AirVape Xs' big brother, the AirVape X in new elegant black color, made with a higher class of materials - ceramic mouthpiece and ceramic air flow box.
I have had a sneak preview of the unit, but I still love the transparent glass mouthpiece, as it is simpler to see through and clean.....
... BUT I will admit the ceramic airflow box is easier to connect than the rubber stopper set-up the current Airvape X uses.

It also looks like the oven size has increased by 25%. In your opinion would it be worth upgrading from the original xs?

Considering the price point being the same, I would say yes.
If you already have the airvape X I would not bother, but for a new buyer, I would say yes.

Decided to pull the trigger and get one for $90 shipped with the 50% off upgrade discount. It is a pretty solid improvement over the xs. The magnetic oven lid feels very solid and works far better than the simple silicon seal on the xs. Mine did have a bit of a concerning smell during the first burn-off but did seem to go away during my second burn off cycle.
I am a little disappointed that the xs shell is not compatible with the slightly bigger X and will probably pick up the new shell once it is available online. For now anyways I'm planning on using the pleather case that came with xs when I bought it. It fits nice and snug in there and should add a bit of smell proofing.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the upgrade and will alternate between the fog and X for a bit (which look great together btw with their matching black finishes)
I attached a bunch of pics because I was curious about the new design and couldn't find much online about it.
If anyone wants more info on it I'm happy to talk more about it.

I also upgraded to the X, it’ll be here Tuesday. I went through your pic’s but couldn’t tell, does this have the same “3 piece box setup” that goes in the mouthpiece of the xs?

It's a similar design but now only is 2 pieces. The air box appears to be made out the same ceramic as the mouthpeice and it topped off by a stainless screen.

Best vape under $200? I haven't tried one but I find that incredibly hard to believe with the CF, CFX, Alternate, Fury 2, Mistvape Touch, Arizer Solo, Arizer Air, etc all being available for at or much much cheaper than $150. What makes this regular China through and through conduction vape better than any of the ones I listed? Just curious, because if it really is better than all of those I guess I need to buy one.

Wow I haven't looked at this guy in a while. I do like the form factor a lot, actually. And the new improvements do sound really nice. It doesn't look like the battery is user replaceable, which effects the longevity of the device. Other than that it's pretty amazing. I mean, unless it used watch batteries or something I don't see how they would be user replaceable with this form factor.

The only one you listed that I enjoy more is the Solo, but:
the flavor on the airvape is equal.
it heats much faster.
the draw is easier.
the vapor path is shorter.
the vibration is short and to the point and helpful
It charges very fast.
What makes this regular China through and through conduction vape better than any of the ones I listed?
Read the entire thread, from page 1 I believe you will find your question answered.
Don't misunderstand... I own and enjoy all the vapes you have mentioned, but the Airvape has features that cause me to reach for it before I grab for the others of late.
(Oh... I went for the Glass Sherlock VaporGenie last night as my bedtime tool)
The fact that I unconsciously grab for a vape above others when the range sits before me has become a good indicator.
@stickstones responded to a post once, and aptly dubbed the indicator "The Reach Test" He called it the grab test somewhere too.
