On vacation and brought only my tubo.

Really love the little basket screen capsules. Surprisingly potent! Working great in cold temps, just maybe a bit more battery usage.

Happy tuboing to all. Glad the break is over @Abysmal Vapor - totally get what you mean about controlling the high vs it controlling you with a tolerance... having self-control is the tough part!

I'm finding one of these small capsules is enough for 1-2hrs for me!

By small capsules do you mean the round screens or something else?

By small capsules do you mean the round screens or something else?

look at this:

1) Yes it does, but external is better for the batteries. 0.5A is fine. Most 18650 chargers do 0.5a or 1.0a I think, and 1a is faster, but it's worse for the batteries longevity iirc.

2) Not really. You can kinda go as big or small as you want, but if you're going to be doing .05g or less regularly (or just want a "capsule" like system) I suggest making at least one of these little guys:

p3Ad2MF.jpg

3) I prefer a coarser grind in my tubo. I use kannastor gr8tr coarse plate.

I followed this advice and also like it this way on the go :)

Nice to hear some good experiences from all of you guys at the moment :D
Haven't been disappointed the last couple of months

I wonder about overheating in hard ripping back to back sessions on the dual compared to the OG.
Maybe someone who receives it can say something about it.
Or @funkyjunky maybe you tested and compared it already?
The only thing I would really like to improve is a fixed mouthpiece like someone on the page before said.
It's not a problem while using by myself but I often pass the tubo around in groups and it's always a pain to see the mouthpiece (ddaves cooler or bent/short) nearly fall out despite telling everybody to watch out (repeatedly).

For me it's also not a problem with my bubbler but passing around with a mouthpiece is adventurous at least when there are first time users.
That's also the feedback I get from most people.
I haven't had any good ideas on that though, for those gong clamps for example there had to be a rim outside...

I know that the mouthpieces are supposed to hold upside down and I know the video where FJ shows that, but it's not always holding very tight and probably depends on temp and usage movements.

I am really satisfied with tubo and many others benefited from it already, it would just give me some peace of mind.
(stoners tend to be sloppy sometimes) :ko::D

i don't have a tubo yet...but this sounds like my gripe with the milaana glass stems

the worst is when my lip is dry and i pull out the stem after a hit...ive broken multiple stems from them slipping out at the wrong moment.

i got a wood stem from @Alan ...it changed my life...it NEVER slips and if it does ever happen it won't shatter!

I never have much issue with the bent stem getting stuck in my mouth/to my lips.

I can't get my stem to lock but with the bent stem especially I figure it'd be probably kinda hard to "accidentally" drop the bent one but idk.

I didn't like the form factor of my small wood stems in the tubo although they do fit. Just looks kinda weird. Maybe a longer wood stem would look ok.

@funkyjunky... i just was on your site again and saw the tubox with the 510 connection on it. i gotta say im very interested in trying it. and a custom assembly would be nice. can you do custom art engraving on the wood? those laser cutters can do some really great shit. like the “living hinge”... very cool.

your site says “to use the tubo heaters to its full potential it is recommended to be using a box mod that can run the tubomyevic software”. ive got a vtc mini and a vtwo mini, but i wouldnt be able to help myself and would hook it up to a dna chip. what about the tubomyevic software makes it superior for use with your heaters? could a custom curve make up for this on a device running other software? im totally willing to test those waters. lets see what kind of hit my wallet takes this holiday season.

didnt think id ever get very excited about a flower vape again, but these are just too fucking fresh.
hey thanks for the interest,
yes we can discuss about a custom engraving, it will take a bit more time and dollars ;) yes i really dig the lasercutter. also am thinking about how to include those living hinges into my stuff since day 1.

i would say the biggest improvement of the tubomyevic over arcticfox/myevic/dna/etc is the cruise control i added. (i program this stuff in the source code, i consider this firmware+mods the most customizable ones;), requires some thorough understanding of the myevic code and programming skillz tho)
cruise control does nothing else than press the button for you. autofire so to say. this plus the open timeout (900sec max fireduration) gives session abilities which the tubo heater benefits from but also the user as it is a hands free operation.
also added the eco mode, which tries to save some energy while in cruise by lowering watts when no draw is detected (yes implemented a draw detection kind of thing as well)
another addition is the warmup mode which heats the heater to a certain temperature and holds it there until it uses less watts than a threshold, this helps getting more consistent results right away.
also added some lines to go easy on low battery charges to extend battery life.
feels like bragging... guess i am :D tubofirmware is nuts :p

i have at least two things up my sleeve but havent had the time yet to implement them. maybe over the holidays.

yes an attachable mouth piece would be cool. i am thinking about this often, havent had the right idea yet. i had good success locking them to my unit, it can be that they vary slightly.

on the dual front:
i am almost finished with the batch, still some minor things to do. i am planning to send out ALL duals during next week, given that they are paid for :)

:cheers::wave:

I have been using the whip with mine and it doesn't slip out. But I also haven't been passing it around so it might still be a problem. I also use one of Alan's wood stem's when I don't use the whip.

OOOoohh...i didn't even think about the whip :whoa:

seems like that could be my preffered mthod too...i could totally see hitting the tubo low key in public through the whip!

it's so cold here now it all just looks like winter breath anyway

If anyone here is having problems with the stem not being secure enough I suggest Teflon tape.

It is on the outside of the vapor path but a few twists of Teflon tape makes many connections work better. The tape was under $1.

nice! id brag also. so the benefits over a DNA chip, since thats what ill be running my tubox on, would be the cruise control and eco mode it seems. the DNA currently has unlimited firing. you can fire it from full cell to toast. BUT adding the cruise control making it hands free is very nice. or does that only work with the draw detection? about the draw detection... pretty cool. thats something the other chips dont have for sure. i dont mind having to hold it and fire the button tho.

the warmup mode sounds like a pre-heat function that at first fires at higher watts right away and then when the heaters reach desired temp the chip backs the watts down for the rest of the draw...? can the user adjust these wattage fluctuations to their liking?

the art id like engraved is currently in vector form. what works for you?

My wife just ran to the states for a family emergency. I want to buy some more 18650's. Right now I am using LG HG2 batteries in my Tubo.

Is there any newer, stronger, better or cheaper 18650?

For the Tubo X, anyone using a mod that takes 3 or 4 batteries, do you have 18650 favorites?

Hope this is not off topic

I use these with my double battery vapes: SONY-VTC5-A
I don't know if they are better than the LG's. I use a samsung 30q for solo batteries. I don't have a good reason for either.

Does anyone know if you can track your shipment? I did priority shipping about a week ago and I'm just curious where it is at. It was shipped on the 10th.

Three months in and love my Tubo. Settling into a groove with 3 AWT imr 18650's getting roughly 3 sessions per charge. The Tubo loves its juice.
I love all the stems that came with my Tubo, the bent/whip/and gong and rotate between all three depending my mood. My whip locks pretty good too where I can dangle the Tubo by it, but the bent does not lock at all. As @muunch said though, the angle make it sticking to your lip and being lifted out tough cause your not pulling away straight up.
What my Tubo has been finicky with is the stems from 420 EDC with the glass hats. Bought a bent and a straight with 3 glass hats and have zero luck with them. The weed (nug or ground) in the glass hat puts out none to very little vapor then the Tubo gets the "device too hot" alert, then shuts down. Same thing when I tried the full size elb's in these, which was part of the reason I got them. Elbs put out vapor, but overheats the unit. Anyone have luck with these in the Tubo and it's just me? I've tried several different times and it ends the same. I know their for the Milana, may have to throw them in the classifieds for a Millana owner to snap up.
Happy Tuboing all and congrats to the happy people awaiting their new goods from @funkyjunky .

I bought some top hat stems for my milaana and they didn't work well for me. I find the preload https://www.ddavemods.com/store/p52/Quad_(4)_Preload_Stem_Pack.htmlstems from Ddave work better with both tubo and milaana. They are designed to use the sandwich method:
