30,000 miles a bag just sounds wonderful
I cannot comment fully as I don't use em, just more surface area to coat instead of your lungs.
However I shall make the effort with the bags that came with my EQ, Gotta try new ways of inhaling.
If I don't get 30,000 miles a bag I'll send em back as faulty and take issue with my lungs

Ok, now I'm upset that my EQ didn't come with an odometer! :peace:

Ditto. I see yours has been going strong since 2016.... mine since early 2013...
this is such a monstrous machine...

Would be great to see what lasts longer, the Arizer EQ vs the next time Linux needs to be rebooted.

No reflection on your service @DDave But It would seem that my package has taken a roundabout route since arriving in the UK, According to the Tracking, Departed London Hthrw for destination 14/12/17, Four days later 18/12/17 arrived at Parcelforce Coventry and is now being held by customs for some reason. Three days it's been held so far and no contact, I'm a bit confused as to why?
I tried phoning yesterday (Tues) and again today but gave up after 20 minutes with no answer, not sure what has happened, but I will try again.
Actually I have an idea, it crossed your country and an ocean in 5 days, then arrived here in the UK and then took 4 days to travel the distance I could walk in 4 days, only to be held up further by uncustomary customs so the post office can try to catch up on xmas, it's a conspiracy .... theory.:mental:
Posties EH luv em, but I couldn't eat a whole one myself.

I was going to try bags when Ddaves kit arrived as that seemed to produce better results, however that's on hold for now thanks to UK customs, the bags have been sitting in the box my EQ came in just over 3 years ago and they look ok as they are in individually sealed bags.
I generally use my EQ with the short stem, Shortest path etc etc, unless its a social evening and being water cooled through the iceman.
Have to say though this thread resurrected my EQ, I'd been sliding back into my portables more and more, don't always have access to mains power when One is out meeting the Public and you tend to stick with what's convenient and easy to do, even when you get back home.

I use mine through a Jaxx iceman but basically the same as the fourth picture on pg449 #11208 with a shorter length of tubing,
everything I needed came with the EQ and I got an alternative 14mm Female connector along with the 14mm male on the Jaxx so didn't have to purchase anything more to make it work.
Ddave kit has cleared customs and is in transit, could be a better end to the year than was anticipated

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and is enjoying their holiday!

So I am going to be ordering a DDave kit to upgrade my EQ and get it back into more regular use. Im wondering if people prefer the V3 to the V2.5 kit, and also how well the concentration chamber works?
Does the concentration chamber require anything like concentrate pads or cotton or something similar?
I want to order something that is just right for me. If I get the V3 kit and decide I want to use a screen is that a option or is it not possible?
Does it really need a screen, or does the glass screen in the V3 kit do a good enough job with material that isnt powdered?

@CarolKing I think you have quite a bit of experience with DDave mods IIRC, id be interested in your thoughts

Sorry for the laundry list of questions I just like to be informed when purchasing, especially given the exchange rate and all.

Happy Holidaze and great questions!
I've broken them up into separate quoted replies below.

The most popular kits by far are the V2.5.... V3 specifically for flavor seekers.
With V3 and coarsely or unground herb, you can skim the flavors off your herb before grinding further and re-vaping with V2.5 pieces.
Basically, they bump flavor up a notch by removing a huge portion of the metal from the airpath.

how well the concentration chamber works?
In an EQ equipped with the latest shorty DDave Adapter, the Concentration Chamber excels at processing concentrates that melt into coarsely ground herb.
The herb acts as a sort of wick and the concentrates are siphoned off of them by heated air, similar to using cotton or hemp wick as some mention.

Does the concentration chamber require anything like concentrate pads or cotton or something similar?
Only ground herb is needed. Will make cleanups easier than if cotton is used.

I've not delved much into Concentrate Pads, but if you could find a small round pad that would fit into the bottom of the Concentration Chamber, that may work a charm.
However, a pad that was larger or smaller than the bottom of the chamber would have negative impact to processing concentrates.

If I get the V3 kit and decide I want to use a screen is that a option or is it not possible?
Does it really need a screen, or does the glass screen in the V3 kit do a good enough job with material that isnt powdered?

I include Free sample pack of rimless basket screens and the appropriate install tool(s), depending on kit, that you can definitely use.
Though you'll find coarsely ground herb has a much better flavor profile than finely ground herb. (This mentioned on FC many times resulting from member testing).

Hope this helps! Hopefully others who have pieces can also comment on their experiences and best use practices.

Thanks,
DDave
