Curious how often everyone swaps out the water in their pipes.

I recognize some pieces require more frequent changing so you can choose up to two options in the poll.

I find myself dumping the water every morning and a quick ISO swish to knock out any residue (and a hot water rinse). If I don't have time for the ISO, I will hot water rinse my piece and let it dry before next use.

I like and appreciate really clean glass - though I have some admiration for those who can go extended periods with dirty glass.

I clean my glass bubbler every other day and rotate with an identical piece (one is always clean and the other is in use). I see it no different than treating dishes or drinking ware, other than a slightly more use before washing. I wash my glass when I do my dishes (manually, no dishwasher).

Damn you guys are fucking on it, I change the water every day or 3 and give my tools an ISO clean once or twice a week. Rinsed and refilled with distilled water.

I have to assume you folks doing a deep clean after every session are lower tolerance users? I can't imagine ISO washing my pipe 20x a day which is why I ask.

For me, sometimes I'll pull out a pipe, rip a load and decide I want something else for the evening. So quick ISO swish, hot water rinse and air dry before it goes back in the cupboard.

The pipe I use for the day/evening received the same treatment as above the next morning. Essentially any time In putting a pipe down for something else it gets a mini clean.

I save my used ISO and use that for the quick cleans.

Deep cleaning is a whole other story. The whole family is deep cleaned on the same day- usually morning - with an ISO rinse -> hot water rinse -> PBW soak -> hot water rinse -> air dry. I will go through that rigamorle once every couple weeks.

I really only change the water once a day.

I thought i was ANAL doing this daily. After each sesh is outrageous. I guess if you take a dab or two a day, its fine so im with you @invertedisdead. I might as well grab a stool as I would be at the sink vaping and cleaning all day and night!

I clean two rigs daily. Flowerpot rig and Liger rig. Its quick and easy, about 15 mins and i do it in the evenings towards the end of my night. I use about a half oz of ISO i recycle in both rigs with a scoop of coarse salt. Shake for 1 min and pour and flush with hot tap water for 1 min. Then i add soap and shake and flush for a few minutes to get rid of the soap. I dont have to shake for long as my rigs are not that dirty since they are cleaned daily.

I do this to my GonG adapters and drop downs every 3 days. i have 5 drop downs and a bunch of adapters and use a new one each day.

Its funny cuz i hate doing dishes but i dont mind doing this daily.

It's part of the ritual for me. I used to roll 5-6 joints when I got home from work for that evening. It would take a few minutes and I could catch up on sports highlights/scores/news.

The cleaning and selecting my glass for the evening fills that role.

Besides, dishes are gross. Worst job in the kitchen

I vape around 2 grams a day and 80% of that is through water.

My Underdog is the workhorse through water with my other portables generally dry.

Prob 2-3 Arizer stems, a half pack oven Pax, 4-6 bowls with the DynaVap and everything else is Underdog.

Do you ISO clean the Arizer stems and Vapcap afer every session?

Nope. I don't really ever clean the Arizer stems (once a year maybe) and the DynaVap has been once a week - but I could probably get 2 weeks without needing too.

I rotate through 3-4 stems (all the different sizes) in my Arizer.

I clean as often as I can. Lately it’s been a bit less, but I find I can only get 3 days with cranberry extract in the water, which keeps the pieces much easier to clean. After that time the water is discoloured and may start growing bacteria.
Now I’ve found a cheap source and use it over RezBlock, I don’t really care so much about preserving it.
Typically after a few solid seshes, the taste is compromised, after a few more the water starts getting oily and percolates differently. Noticing those things usually has me changing the water, which can mean a simple empty and refill, or a hot water rinse and refill, or a methylated spirits and salt rinse to hot water rinse to refill, or a full deep clean with PBW.
A sesh with shiny clean glass is how it’s meant to be.

If done regularly, it doesn't take much effort at all to clean glass used with most vapes. I don't use water very often but when I do I dump it when done. I used to keep water sitting in bongs forever....heck I used to smoke and do that. It's pretty gross to me now. I don't know how I liked the flavor of it!

Per use/day.

Having switched completely to vapcap use I don't always use my water device. I have one out in the workroom in a bubbler and another indoors in my heater.

Welp, shit. This thread reminded me to change my hydratube water. I had some nice residue buildup already and I was collecting it for some stem milk. I thought cleaning my hydratube with a quick rinse of water to clean up the small particles. I just cooked some water for tea, so I thought, might as well do it with the cooked water. Woops, immediately my piece was all glass again without any stains. Bye bye stem milk. Lol. Just rinse with cold water I presume haha.

When did @ataxian use fat mouthpieces?

I'm lazy? Only have 2 dabs a day off my liger or d-nail and change water once a week? Must make some of you sick
