FYI, Swiss hydratubes are now on sale on VXL website.
Anyone have experience with the tree perc , Swiss perc combo?? I'm a flavor chaser so I'm thinking tree is minimal diffusion and Swiss perc also looks minimal so it should have good flavor retention??
Experience with either Swiss HT, tree or honeycomb??

Hi all! I just received my new VapeXhale Cloud EVO in the mail & quickly realized my unit will not heat up. After turning on the unit, the red LED remains lit for a few minutes, then the Red light begins blinking. (The unit still feels cool to the touch.)
I see no cracks in the glass or other obvious issues. I’ve tried every outlet in my house, toggling on/off, and changing the unit temperature to no avail.
Does anyone have a clue why the unit wouldn’t work straight out of the box? Anyone else have this issue?
Any help at all would be appreciated as I’m pretty frustrated at this point...

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
How cold is it outside? It might just be the temp safety feature kicking in. If it came from say a cold delivery truck, the sensor will not heat up the glass and cause heat shock. Let your EVO get room temperature. It might take a while. Then plug it in and give it ago. Really hope that is all you are experiencing. Fingers crossed.
I had this happen to me with both vapes and the cold elements and freaked myself out both times, forgetting this.

@CuckFombustion, yes, they always advise that if the weather is cold to let any delivered electronics acclimate to room temp before even opening up the box as condensation is also a factor. I always give it 6 - 12 hours.

It’s not super cold out (I live in TX), but it could’ve had a cold journey. I’ll be patient and try it again tomorrow or the next day, after it’s had enough time to warm up. Thanks for the info!

Its been more than enough time.....open an RMA with VXH (yeah, I know you initiated this) and they will fix it/replace it.
The EVO is a pretty dang reliable vape overall. No telling what happened during shipping.

Yes, but you typically wouldn't see a crack down in the the glass air shaft (aka the "bamboo). Check that the bamboo is OK by tightly capping the bottom intake with your finger and then trying to draw from the joint (this may be easier to do using an attached glass piece, as long as you can be sure that it is tight at the joint). The bamboo should be airtight. If you're able to draw any air, then there is probably a crack which likely occurred during shipment.

Found a stranger selling a used evo for 250, it’s probably a 2015 model, what are some things I can look for in person before buying to make sure it is working? I guess what I am asking for, what are the parts on it that most often go wrong and how much would it cost to repair my unit if something is wrong with it?

you'd prob be around $100 for repairs and i'd check that it powers on and the light goes from red to green , i'd also check the glass going down the entire vape called the bamboo for any cracks and plug one end with my finger and blow while the unit is off to see if there are any air leaks as you can sometimes not see in the middle visually .

The advice from @Justpassedu is on point. The vulnerabilities in the EVO are primarily in the glass bamboo and secondarily in the heater. The only other electronics to speak of are for the power. The casing is virtually impregnable.
So since you can see the unit in person, I would also check that the heater and eprom are working as expected: Set the dial to 3 o'clock and it should be getting hot in about 10 minutes and you should get very thick vapor at least on a second hit (depending on material, sometimes the first hit is more of a primer). Then drop the setting to 12, wait about 5 minutes, and take another hit - you should still get good vapor, maybe just not massive. Then drop the setting to 9 and wait for several minutes; you should still get at least a light vapor. This will test the temp regulation and heat curve; depending on what and how you vape, you may want to be able to use the full range.

Been using my evo for the past few months and I'm just curious about a couple of things..
The first being why is it recommended to turn the evo on and wait for like 10+ minutes before hitting it? Like shouldnt I hit it as soon as the light turn from red to green? I just don't see the point in waiting that long.
Secondly why do people hit the evo at 9 - 12 o'clock? Like whenever I do, the vapor is so minimal. I generally just start the evo at 1 and then take my second hit at 3, third hit at 4, and the last few hits on 5. Anyone else do the same?

It takes that long for the entire unit to heat soak. You'll find that it hits much better after letting it heat up.
