adapter-question

if I posted in the wrong thread please forgive me.

I intent to order a sidecar from Steven with 18mm cut.
If I get this adapter

in the 18mm to 14mm config am I right that:
- the lower white part is 14mm while
- the upper white part is 18mm male and female (male outside, female inside)

Am I right in that believe? So in theory I can either
- use the downstream in 14mm bongs
- use it in 18mm bongs (providing the downstream is not too long)
AND connect any 18mm male glass-cut devices (in 18mm cut obviously) to this?

I could need the following stuff as well if some has a cheap source please share it with me so I dont have to go trough all dhgate listings
- seemless 18mm to 14mm
- either 18mm or 14mm to a straight glass tube, like the flip brick by brick labs is using

Not too sure which piece of glass you are talking about, could you post a link? It may make a difference on what people suggest.

OK, lets find out if the vape you are planing to use has a manufacture produced glass adapter available or if you need something else. What vape are you going to use?

I asked the question about the linked adapter as I was thinking about building a flipBrick alike vape using some wood.. (the adapters used by brick lab aren’t sourcable on dhgate sadly. Or?)

I use a vapman primary (mid section should fit 14mm natively) or Alternative had be a Mflb glass adapter (does dhgate offer Mflb glass Adapters as well? Couldn’t find any,,..)

Maybe I'm not understanding correctly but why are you using a downstem as a reducer? If you want to buy a 18mm version of the fc-188 for your vapman just get a reducer that'll cost $2

Well if what I am seeing is correct (hate youtube) I would go with an 18.8mm male adapter like this http://www.oregonglassblower.com/18mm-Glass-Adapter-18M-18M-18m-18m.htm to link the wood to the glass so you won't need a down tube for that job. The bowel/crucible/load cooker is another story and I am not sure of how involved you want to get. The easiest way I could think of doing it would be to cabbage something like an LSV heater cover, an Arizer extreme q screen and a 18.8mm male adapter. However I am not a giant torch guy, don't know but a small amount about glass pieces and I am on drugs. Good Luck
