Discontinued Zion vaporizer

Shit Snacks

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
Welp verdict is in and mine was indeed fine all along! I was overthinking as usual, you've all seen my back and forth here lol, the vapor quality was amazing so stands to reason everything was fully functional. Goes to show that if it is getting you high, chances that it is fine are also high  I think all the work that goes into Zion, parts and labor included all handmade style, coupled with individual useage variables as we see here, mean each one is just its own experience for each person. That alone makes Zion unfeasible as a product, just a little functional collectable for a lucky few, while the technology can be applied to better designs

Seeing how far RBT has come in vaporizer development makes me very excited for the future of the brand. As I experienced with my first originals after Zion beta testing, the Milaana is actually the superior product overall imo, while the Splinter could really have it beat for a more refined consistent vaping experience (less depending on the user) thanks to the mod regulation. So I think anyone saddened by no more Zion should find more than enough joy in Milaana, the way they are built now perhaps even more in fact, while Splinter offers something a little extra as well

Been using the Splinter exclusively since I received it on Friday, which means haven't used the Zion since then. Just did side by side seshes, then later a sesh of just the Zion, and man...there just something about it that makes it stand out from the rest of RBT products. Not sure how much use the Splinter will get over the Zion, maybe if I get a new mod it'll be able to hold up next to the Zion. Splinter is much more fun to hold though, and the airflow feels really great on the Splinter.

If the Splinter had more abv and the consistency I get with the Zion then it would be right up there next to it.

Milaana spoiled you as it's more instantaneous, but vapor quality and ease of use are not the same clearly. I still prefer the Zion without a single hesitation.
I'm with you there with this version of my Zion, it's pushed both my Milaana's out of rotation :o. I even rigged up a whip for it because the ability to pull clouds is that good. Set to 80% I can fully extract now without having to plug anything or do a warm up session. The Zion just rocks so hard  you do feel blessed by having one.

So many times in my life the answer to what went wrong was what did I do? I returned Zamfir in Sept and waited for news. I disparaged @AJS for taking up too much of RBT's time. I did not want to disturb the genius at work and waited with increasing trepidation.
After reading of returns (that improved) I could wait no more and sent email. RBT was looking for me. I didn't include return address. Unit in mail. Friday is the day!:myday:

I can't tell you if the clouds were from the Zion but it did produce a lot today.

I bet Ryan would love to sell them if he thought there were enough folk willing to pay $550 or so for them. They are very labor intensive. It was fun to watch him make them on IG but they were clearly a lot of work. I'm sure there are some who would pay that, but not enough to make it a "going concern".

I think unfortunately the price would be higher than that :(

I wonder if you could make the Zion in a much less labor intensive way. Like how much labor would you save by making it in the form factor of the Milaana? Just a wider Mi to accommodate 2 batteries and the OKR chip in the bottom?

What a long strange trip it has been. I’m talking long. And I’m talking strange. And I’m talking it’s been 100% worth it. I just recieved my production Zion and I couldn’t be any happier then I am. I’m going to take it slow and ease her into my daily grind. I’ll check back with my findings.

I suspect his next post will be "I'm giving my other portables away as Christmas presents" ;)

Man kudos to the beta team for really reinforcing the idea of how great this vape was during its journey. If it weren't for you guys, many of us would've missed out on an incredibly unique experience. Thank you for sticking to your initial opinions and not be swayed by the outside influences and potential doubts. Honeymoon phase can be a large bias but you guys knew objectively this thing was something special. Again and again thank you all for the time and effort with patiently helping us all get the information we needed to make informed decisions.

I really hope the few people missing their Zions gets everything resolved. I know how frustrating this was/is for some. Shipped to wrong addresses, missing battery terminals, cold units, automatic heat ups, or just seemingly completely ignored ... you guys are all pulling through regardless. I promise promise you'll love it when you get it.

While I always tried to remain optimistic, I'd be lying and biased if I said I didn't have doubts. It's only natural when highly expecting something to sit back on the day of anticipatory arrival and say 'wow ... the day is here ... the hour has almost begun, yet my excitement is gone. Not only that but it's turned to an almost nervousness. 2 years, so much excitement. And for what? A vape? One that is only "supposedly" good? What vapes have these guys even tried? Do they even know what real clouds are? Ugh ... guess I'll see when post man arrives'. I'm glad I remained skeptical but I'm also glad I trusted my gut and the word of my peers. This vape is an absolute beast and has surpassed expectations and has risen to the top of all my vapes. The Milaana hasn't really been used since. The only thing that comes close in terms of power is the LSV (haven't tried an evo or flowerpot or supreme 3). The Nano still sits right next to the Zion as most loved vape tho, but the Zion to me is just superior in terms of potency and cloud production + smoothness. The Nano however is probably the most superior vape for flavor chasing through water without skipping a beat on vapor production. Anyway I'm rambling. (I really loved my Nano and miss her dearly).

Guys. It's fucking here. Zion is real, it's nearly complete. We all waited so long. Some much longer than others. But it's finally the home stretch. Won't be long until every single person who ordered (and stuck it out) has one in their hands. Congrats all!

Look at that weird diagonal stair step slant the Zion is doing as it progresses through the pictures. Total accident lol.
