The Lotus Vaporizer

Team NO SLEEP!
What is the plural for Lotus?
I fucking love my Lotusesis's!

@Max Jitter ~ Lets talk about that 244:D

So it is a lower temp cap than before, but with proper torch application can it still get to the same fully complete extraction level of a standard cap? Or does it resist getting to those temps?

The 244 is really a cap to be used for ease of learning as it runs slightly cooler than the original and will not extract as completely. Not everyone tries for a dark brown color of their ABV, do they? On the other hand the 244 can be made to run like the hi-temp cap with the substitution of the metal spacer ring

for the silicone o-ring.

Hoping maybe Lotus Vaporizer will bless us with some Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, looking forward to picking one. Fingers cross.

I recently got the MF orbiter, and it has breathed new life in my love affair with the Louts. The Orbiter's whip draw speed is too constricted so I jerry rigged my own from other accessories. It really takes the Lotus to new level. I would go as far as suggesting they try and offer it on their site, maybe with a modified whip to allow for best airflow. I have shelved my EVo for the time being in favour of the speed, efficiency, and amazing aesthetic of the Lotus with the orbiter.

I also recieved my second Lotus cap, the High Temp version, so now I have two caps, wpa and long stem.
If Ihad to choose one vape it would be the Lotus.

I also would be very interested in a J hook stand, maybe with a space to put oil pads and the WPA and cap when not in use.

I’ve had my Black Friday Lotus for five days now, and this beautiful piece of art is everything a vaporizer should be – and then some. Cool sweet vapor with mouth drenching flavor. Having an Omni Ti and Vapman, it seemed natural and quite easy to use the Lotus. The taste is unparalleled utilizing the long stem, and I find I get a flow of cool air if I continue to draw after pulling the flame away, which is very refreshing. As a wooden pipe and glass spoon smoker almost exclusively for 45 years (until I received my Nano last year), this form factor is the most natural and ritually satisfying for me.

I almost always sip it. Unlike the Vapman, where I need to count, or the Vapcap where there is a click to guide, I use the Lotus by feel. It seems completely intuitive. I apply heat in a constant circling motion and pull back when I feel or ‘sense’ the vapor is where I want it. I manage to get juicy hits that are very satisfying. It’s like sipping on a tall cool glass of terpenes. Some draws you can practically chew the terps. I do apply more heat at times, which obviously produces larger hits. Either way, I get obliterated. This is apparently a device crafted by elves from Mallorn wood and fitted with Mithril plates by the dwarves. There can be no other explanation.

This is a vape to savor. I’ve seen people in this thread talk about how quickly you can finish a bowl, but I stretch out the experience for as long as possible. I don’t really understand the concept. I mean, if Gandalf sits upon a hillock that looks remarkably like one in New Zealand, and he pulls out a pipe and gently fills it with pipe-weed, he never says anything like, “hey Frodo, watch me kill this bowl in one hit.” Different strokes, but no matter how you hit it, the Lotus is a marvel.

I picked one up during Black Friday as well. However, I won't be getting it until mid December as I had it sent to my hotel in the US (I am from Canada). Thank you for your input, I totally have ants in my pants having to wait until then.

I love butane powered vapes, as I believe they truly demonstrate form function and human ingenuity.
If you don't have one, you should consider one of the Sticky Bricks.

I love my butane vapes also. I like the control, and the ritual. I’ve considered the SB line and they sound incredible, but I don’t want to inhale butane. Everyone says it's safe, but everyone also says, “As long as your torch is working properly, there’s no danger.” But if you search through all the threads on FC dealing with lighters, you’d be hard put to find more than a handful (if that) who say their lighter is ‘working properly’.

I totally understand your butane inhalation issue. My partner doesn't like my SBj as she taste the butane, I haven't had any issue with it.

On another note... have you ever tried the Vaponic? It is pretty awesome too.

@Max Jitter do you still sell the scoops?
I did not see them on your website...

These are the best scoops! Mine has got to be 4 years old!
Sorry but we don't sell those anymore. I found that an 1/8 teaspoon scoop from a kitchen measuring set works well.
You also had a question earlier about our new vapor cap, the herbal cap.
Here's a comment from a customer who owns all 3 vapor cap models: So, I find the Herbal Cap to be superior to both of the old models. It seems to be easier to moderate the heat with the Herbal Cap, although the new torch may have a lot to do with this as well. But the new cap seems to be less apt to overheat and the vapor is really smooth.
I then asked:
Do you find that it is harder to extract as fully from the herbs as with the original cap?
Answer: No, the vaped material is dark brown, similar to the color of fully extracted herbs in the original cap and in other vaporizing units.

That’s too bad. I was waiting to pick one up when I made my first order, and they weren’t there. That’s what I get for procrastinating. Thanks for the teaspoon tip.

I love this little dynamo more and more each day. It’s that pipe form factor. I also smoked tobacco pipes for a while. The feel of the Lotus ‘pipe’ in hand and the lighting motions are really conducive to a relaxing session. And the TASTE. Great googly-moogly!

That one is on my radar.

Hello everyone~ I love flame/butane/torch vaporizer, just fuck combustion and start vaping from June 2017, everything is new to me:)
This is my first Lotus purchase during the Black Friday discount, the new herbal cap 244 with a WPA(because i already have the J hook and water piece and i believe i will only use it at home, i have vapcap for outdoor).

It does had some learning curve, and most of my torch can not fire consistently while vertically pointing down:hmm:
I can't get cloud at the beginning, and have little combusted when the plate showing some red spot, the (Torch control) X (inhale speed) have to test and feel and adjust. After watch the best of thread here and watch some video in youtube, 2 days later I try again and inhale very slowly while constantly heating the center of the plate with a better torch, got some nice cool good taste hits and even result.
I am surprised that while there is pretty hot of my left hand holding the J-hook, the vapor come in my mouth just so cool and tasty~ I can foresee better result will be archived after some more practice. I am very satisfied with it and gonna test it more :):science:

I like this Lotus Herbal Cap 244, taste good and cool vapor :luv: almost 1 hitter, or 2 hit, the abv is dark brown and totally didn't feel any combustion or char. The learning curve is not steep:) but still learning can get better result. I am enjoying it and its in my daily drive line-up now:love:

And really Thanks to @almost there for PM the bigger fire tips, it help me get vapor immediately:tup:

Just a suggestion. I think you should circle the center of the cap a little more to avoid singeing the goods. You did it a little more in the second hit than the first.

Keeping the tip of the flame too stationary creates a little too much heat in my bowl. YMMV

Hey @paehtod, clouds look massive and you do like to live dangerously. When I use a bigger flame I only tough the plate a bit and then I pull back and move the flame in circles to avoid charring in any one spot. If you hold the torch stationary for such a long time at some point you'll risk combustion

Well, you are definitely in a canna unfriendly place so you have to decide your own level of risk. This is just for fun, after all, and you don't want to be on the wrong side of authorities there... Your call, of course.
