(zombie) Woof.
Searching “ghost vapes inc” will have it pop up #2, too...

Finally...!

Edit: @Ghostvapesofficial recent post on VLF:

“Just picked up this thread and wanted to pitch in and help address some of the questions from new users and to also thank our more experienced customers for helping out.

Most of the user errors relating to lack of vapor are most likely due to an incorrectly assembled Heat Sink. Please refer to the following helpful video from @VapeCritic

You can also increase or limit the amount of vapor by raising or lowering the glass stem. IMPORTANT NOTE: When raising or lowering the stem please rest your thumb on the top edge of the Heat Sink to prevent it from moving upwards when you pull out the stem. If you pull the top lid off you will have partially disassembled the Heat Sink which will result in an air bypass, reduced vapor and the potential for charring and overheating.

This is all explained in the above video.

We are in the process of finishing off a series of 8 "How To" videos that include an introduction to the MV1, an animated CGI video of how the MV1 works, how to use the MV1 with dry herb, how to use the MV1 with concentrate, troubleshooting etc... All of these videos will be published later this month and we will be making an announcement as soon as they go live.

These videos take into account thousands of comments that we have received and responded to or discussed openly elsewhere on this forum.

In the meantime everyone can find a helpful "Quick Start Guide" on the upper tray of the MV1 box underneath the device. This guide provides you with all of the basic information that is being discussed in this thread and we strongly recommend reading it carefully before you use the product.

You can also refer to the many videos that @VapeCritichas published in relation to the MV1.

Using the MV1 is not complicated, providing that you take the time to read the Quick Start Guide and or take the time to watch the videos. It is a highly advanced product with unique technology that produces excellent results but there is a slight learning curve.

The new App is now available for customers running iOS on the App Store from today. Android will follow soon. We are going to be making an official announcement about the App & latest firmware update on the main forum later today - please stay tuned.

The App will make life easier when changing temps and allows you to adjust temperatures in 1 degree increments - so you can further customize your experience.

It is also the route to downloading firmware updates and additional features both now and in the future.

Hope the above helps and please feel free to forward this message on to others.

Best

Patrick”

8 hours is plenty if you're charging over USB, but with the fast charger it should do it in about ~2-2.5 hours, you got one of those too right? It's OK to use the fast charger for your initial full charge I checked with them.

Should I avoid interrupting a charge after the initial charge? Just arrived yesterday and I love it.

does the ios app work? I can not figure it out at all...just looks like a landing page for ghosts home page.

I can not get the iphone (4s) to see the vape via bluetooth.....or see any app settings at all in this deal on ios store.

It’s working for me, first thing I did was update the firmware of the GHOST. Other than that I haven’t messed with it much. I’m on IOS 11 if that helps.

I believe Patrick said you need a minimum of Iphone 5 and newer for the app to work. I had to register my MV1 with Ghost before the App would work for me, I used on old Ipad 2 and it worked! I have only updated the firmware to 1.2.8 and my unit seems to run a little cooler. I haven't had the chance to mess with the 2 red heat settings as of yet though

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it's not possible to develop Apps to run on the iPhone 4 anymore as Apple will not accept them for inclusion on the App Store.

The reason for this is because you can't run iOS 9 or later versions up to iOS 11, on the iPhone 4.

We tried to get around this but failed and the only way you will be able to run the App is on the iPhone 5 or later versions.

You could download the firmware update onto your MV1, by using a friends phone but the only way of using the App itself is to get an iPhone 5 or later version.

I really feel for you here and wish I could pull a rabbit out the hat for you but our hands are tied on this one.

We are making progress on Android but it's taking far longer than we anticipated to iron out connectivity issues and glitches so that it will work across the multitude of different Android releases and devices.

The dev team from iOS have now moved over to assist on Android to help speed the process up.

We will be posting an update shortly that will include the above information.

Best

dropped bombs with the update baaaboooommmmmm

Your good man. After the initial charge it's a-ok. I was doing the same thing when I first got it.

Everyone run the update? Curious..
This was just posted up.

We are very pleased to confirm that the new Ghost App complete with the latest version of Firmware, is now available for iOS users in the App Store.

The Android version is still in development but will be available soon and we will be making a further announcement at this time.

The App will automatically upgrade your MV1 with the latest version of Firmware and give you a far greater degree of control, with the ability to customize temperatures on favorite levels 4&5 and operate your device without having to rely solely on the mode button.

We are also planning a range of exciting new features through a series of future updates.

A simple user guide to downloading and using the App will follow shortly.

Feedback from the iOS Beta Group has been very positive overall and early reports from existing customers, who have updated their devices to the latest version of Firmware are also extremely encouraging.

iOS Beta Users are now free to openly discuss the improvements they have experienced along with general performance related issues such as charring, overheating and improved ABV.

We still have some work to complete in respect of battery life but we believe the device is now performing very much in line with expectations.

The key remaining issue that we are still dealing with is that of "User Error" because even simple errors are often difficult to solve by emails, PM's and advice from more experienced forum users.

We do however have a cohesive solution on the way.

We are currently in the process of finishing off a series of 8 "How To" videos that include an introduction to the MV1, an animated CGI video of how the MV1 works, how to use the MV1 with dry herb, how to use the MV1 with concentrate, troubleshooting etc... All of these videos will be published later this month and we will be making an announcement as soon as they go live.

These videos take into account the thousands of comments that we have received and responded to or discussed openly elsewhere on this forum.

The most common problem we are continuing to witness and resolve, on a daily basis and that usually results in overheating, charring and uneven ABV, relates to incorrectly assembled or dirty Heat Sinks.

This common complaint can be very easily resolved by simply taking the time to watch this excellent video produced by the Vape Critic:

Poor vapor production is usually linked to the same issue.

You can also increase or limit the amount of vapor by raising or lowering the glass stem. IMPORTANT NOTE: When raising or lowering the stem please rest your thumb on the top edge of the Heat Sink to prevent it from moving upwards when you pull out the stem. If you pull the top lid off you will have partially disassembled the Heat Sink, which will result in an air bypass, reduced vapor and the potential for charring and overheating.

This is all explained in the above video.

In addition to the above we are also pleased to announce that our store is now open on the website and both new and existing customers can now purchase devices & accessories - without having to pre-register.

On a closing note we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience while we completed these important tasks and to wish you all a Happy Holiday.

Best Wishes

The Team @ Ghost

I’ll be surprised if you can make changes with the iPad (but maybe the official release changes things). My Air was unable to update my MV1.

It’s fascinating to me that the updates absolutely decrease the gunk buildup on the crucible lid.

Agreed on that. We found that out early on. It decreased the overall cleaning requirement frequency which f'in rocked. Generally the build up would occur right in the dead center and spotting would be seen.
This was resolved with the update. How the heating element is able to be tweaked is what makes this device amazing bro. Updates change the overall dynamic of the device. The same couldn't be said of other vapes. That's what in my eyes makes this device unique for sure man.

I've actually gone a little less than a week now without cleaning the device while cycling 5 crucibles. I was having to clean every two to three days before the update.

NICEEEEE!!! I FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO ADD PHOTOS!!! YOU KNOW HOW SICK THAT ISS!!! yo, hells yeh, now i can actually communicate with you guys like i can elsewhere, f yeah! using the powers of imagery yo!!! GLORIOUS!!!!!!! Mannn... imma make like a history presentation on ghost to sircrackkillah yo.. yeahhhhhh, this'll take me like a day or two to do yo. i gotta work my photoshop skills on this. then imma do iq, and some other vapes. i like this ghost though man, its a rocketship. its easy to make a rocketship do cool stuff man

Yo, so anyways man, I'll repost up over here too so information is flowing, here:

How to access the manual calibration:
From sleep mode, triple click both buttons (home and vape).
A single amber LED will flash in the middle of the light pipe.
Press the home button and the right LED will turn red, indicating that you just bumped the power up.
Press another time and the left LED will turn green, sign that you turned down the power.
Press another time and you are back to the basic settings.
Wait 3 seconds and the manual calibration will be saved on whichever setting you are on and you will be back to sleep mode.

It would appear I can't edit that post anymore... at any rate.. I'm now engaging in battery testing with the device to fail. At a blinky light, I'm at nine crucibles now. I'll see how many more I can go through but this has lasted an entire day and night for me. That's pretty sweet yo.

Now ten.. I'm going to continue to run this tomorrow morning to see. Ten crucibles is pretty sick if you think about it. That's a mighty right there.

Hey yo, So I got fourteen crucibles or at least thirteen for sure with how I use the vape. Level 2-4 two to three draws at each level up to 5. At 5 two to four draws. When I use level 5 I like to push the stem in so the draw is tighter. Shorter pulls can be taken when the stem is pushed in so I can sip it. I'll stir usually 2nd or 3rd pull into 5 and it'll yield another draw or four depending on the pack.

I did this for up to ten crucibles which is when green flashy light hit. I then went to level 4 for four to six draws before bumping it up to level 5 for an additional four to six draws. I went through three more crucibles and then on the fourth, it died second pull in. The light will flash when you try to activate the heat. I made sure the battery was totally dead by power cycling, unplugging/replugging pack in, power cycling again. Red blinky light.

Figure that's solid for sure. Without a doubt the battery life on this device is good man. Right now I have five crucibles, by Monday eight, when the crucible holder comes out, thirteen. If I can power through that many on one battery charge that's awesome. I usually charge at around the 7-10 crucible mark. It's probably not advisable to go beyond that but it gives me peace of mind that I can.

Crucibles came a day early. Case complete. This thing will now last me all day no fuss, no nonsense, no need for battery swap outs. Eight sessions or eight crucibles spanned across multiple sessions is pretty powerful man.. That shit is straight glorious!!! Hellllllssss yeeahhhhH!!!!!!

Yo, device is much quieter too. I remember during the testing one of the updates made is squeeeeeellllllll and now I'm not even noticing it. I haven't had any issues with performance at all, no overheats at all since the update. I'm happy with this rocketship man. F'in a right. This thing is great.

Cases man... yahhhhhhhhh.. so the DS case is the best. DS Case secures eight crucibles, a brush, a wizard staff, two picks, and a ghost... YEAHHHH!!!! I love this case. Its EZ and doesn't scream stash case.

The zelda case would be for when the crucible cases come out. I tried putting full crucibles in the zippy part and they exploded all up in that bitch. Stupid smelly and a bitch to clean out yo. However, it's the largest of the three cases.
i could probably fit like three crucible cases, possibly four if my guess on the dimension of the crucible case is correct along with the MV1 and the spare battery. However.. The more I look at it, if the ghost manufactured crucible case is a verticle stack five pack, I may be able to fit as many as six. I'll have to measure it out to see. If I have to cut out the bottom and glue in a new custom cut strofoam center I will.. just gotta get those dimensions. Gotta wait for it to physically be in my hands to get those dimensions. Six would be 30 crucibles. That'd be sick. I don't think it can.. maybe two to four.

The capsule case will fit in front or rear jeans pocket and give you that salami bulge no doubt. head turner man..lovely. It is the only one that will fit in a pair of non-cargo pants. Capsule case is ok i guess but seems to put pressure on the sides if not seated properly. If you zip without pushing the mv1 into the case it'll scratch the bitch. I got a little scratch from this and obviously there is no color change kit so I have to live with it... Other thing too is that if you try to sandwich a crucible underneath, it'll open up.. Now that I'm thinking about it.. Delta 3d studios or whoever those guys are make those spare crucible holders right now.. I should buy from them so that I could carry spares in the Capsule case. They'd fit I believe in between the stryofoam and hardshell. That would give the capsule case more of a stealth advantage then because of its size. Dunno.. I guess personal preference.. I use the ds case the most. If I had one of those 3d Studios crucible single case holder thingamajigs, i know it'd fit and then I'd probably carry the capsule case over the ds case during the daytime.... hmm... Imma buy one of them things man. Now that I'm looking at their website, its kinda hard to tell if the single and quad will fit or just the single... I think only one or two singles.. Imma have to buy both to find out. Ok..

I do have one more case. It's also pocketable and a hard case. I'll take a pic of that tomorrow. My mighty is in there right now. Smell proof, fits a dosing capsule caddy and a brush and spent capsules. Fits the mv1 too. I'm sure it'd fit one or possibly two of those 3D delta 4 crucible holders. that makes me want to get ahold of them even more.

This thing with a spare battery and maaad crucibles is god mode yo. One battery already lasts me a day, I just swap that out at night with the one in the quickcharger and I'm good to go another day without ever having to plug it in. EZ like the firefly, IQ, never have to physically plug the device in, just cycle them batteries yo.

@SirCrackKillaH, 2 things:

Do you have a link to the ds(?) case & could you take a pick with the flap up so I can see the placement of the MV1. Please omit those circle-enclosed hypens as don't understand the point of it -- distracting & wasted space.

Thanks!

I looked long and hard for links to this but I really couldn't find any to buy.

I tried looking on toys r us, I tried looking on target and Walmart. I remember seeing these cases in a toys r us one day a long while back. I was looking for a mighty case, this was too small and the mighty is smellier.. is that a word?.. yeah smellier.. I'd be afraid to put a mighty in a Nintendo case. I remember it from awhile back and went on a store hunt when I couldn't identify it online. Went to Walmart, target, Walmart in a different town, target in a different town, went to a toys r us, went to a third target and bought a whole shelf worth of cases.

You have to be careful though because there are two that look exactly the same as this. The difference being:

- the pockets for the crucibles are not closed which means crucibles can fall out or split apart in the pocket easier. This one is secure, no bud escaping or falling out. You have to loosen the pockets a little which comes in time with crucibles stretching it.

- one is a little smaller, the other is way smaller. So there are three cases total that look like this.

That's the YouTube link to the case.

When you say flap up, Thats that last pic, the MV1 can fit dead center or be pushed upward to potentially fit a crucible holder.. hopefully... still don't know dimensions of that thing. That'd bump up the count to 13 crucibles in the case.

My goal is to eliminate all play with touching bud and being portable on the go all the time. I accomplished that with the mighty and dosing capsules but with lack of replaceable batteries, I was still tethered to the wall.

This is beginning to satisfy all demands I have in a vape. This thing is godlike man. With new modes being worked on... f'in ghost mode needs to come, more editable tweaks need to come... this thing'll continue to get better

What mod deleted all my case pics? They were viewable. I know they were because I was able to see them on multiple devices. These pictures are a two step bitch of a process for me to put up because your forum doesn't have straight iOS image dropping. Bad image links is nonsense. It takes time to do this.
Modnote: Edited to removed bad image links

Where did you get xtra crucibles? I'm dying for accessories for this beast!:D

You can buy them off the store, when they made the vape purchasable again after app testing was done they went live with accessories on the site, I just checked and you can add crucible kit etc to cart now, though the vape itself is still done via email list it seems for now.

They are available right now. Takes about a week to get. I messed up but it worked out in my favor. I wasn't sure if an order was ordered, was coming in, was being processed.. whatever.. so I ran a second order. One came, then the other. While I believe the crucible holder with crucibles to be a better overall value, I definitely need the crucibles so it was a good purchase regardless.
These are available on the website. $10 shipping and handling hurts but davinci does that shit too. Davinci charged me $10 to ship those spacers too.

It's a matter of weeks now for pretty much everything to be offered individually or as a set. Gaskets, heatsinks, cases, crucible holders, concentrate pads, hopefully a black ghost brush.. then from a software standpoint, sky's the limit. This device can be tuned like a firefly but works better. Ghost is listening too to all of the feedback. I was carrying three devices with me up until early last week when I got the spare crucibles in. Now I'm only carrying my MV1. More I use it, more I like it.

All things considered, I know that this thing'll easily clear at least 10-12 crucibles. That gives me peace of mind man.
