The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Guys, I think its better to heat up your mighty and then add the herbs. I tried this and I found theres sooo much more flavor. It was bursting with flavor.

I think if u have u herbs in it while it heats up, then its drying ur herbs out on the way to ur designated temp. It seems like a waste to me. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere, maybe by S&B themselves, that u should pre-heat your oven.

If its true, then capsules (or basket screens like I have), are even more useful for every day use.

@pallfy thanks for the reminder. I've been meaning to try this but got wrapped up in playing with my new VC M which I won last week from The Hedonist Club website... love both the Mighty and the M, makes for hard decisions when its gaping time ha ha.

Think I'm going to try this later :D

Ok I have finally joined this congregation, thanks to PIU on Black Friday. Just couldn’t resist the chance to see what all the hype is about.

At first we were like, “da-yum!!!’” Even at low temps, the hits are just so...SUBSTANTIAL. Almost too much, especially for Mr. OyVape’s lungs. It felt like real overkill. For our lungs and wallet.

But it tasted so frickin great! So, smaller hits using our collection of j-hooks and bubblers... now I love that I can get a couple big, deep hits that somehow taste better and satisfy more than any other vape I have tried. Definitely more than the Nano. Yes, the Mighty has some kinda serious mojo.

I do have a question about the WPA adapter it came with. Several times it has come off the vape while I am hitting it, causing mega anxiety. I screw it down tight but it still happens when using a j-hook. I usually lift it to clear each hit. I’ve tried it both with the vape above the glass and the other way around. Is there some way to lock it down besides the plastic rim that screws down over it?

I've got a cold and I'm wondering if I should stop vaping altogether or just reduce the temperature?

I normally hit at 195 Celsius, wondering what you'd suggest as an alternative temperature?

I would stop all together. You'll recover much quicker. But if you want to mess around I would say only use temps 340-370 that's the sweet spot when I'm sick and don't want to.l be worse

i do a mixture of sage, chamomile and mint at 165C as 'cold medicine' (nice to have more than one cooling unit ;) ) - the max temp of mint is 170C tastewise, sage and chamomile are okay up to 190C...

Hey guys sorry for being so inactive recently.
I just wanted to let you know that I sent in my Mighty yesterday to S&B.
I got the unit replaced in february by the retail seller himself but bought it initially in december 16 (cause of a small crack next to the heating chamber; device was still pretty new so I cared a little more)

My unit looked pretty fucked up, the case didnt hold together anymore after I had dropped it once on hard ground.
I had several cracks near the heating chamber, too. While charging at 210°C at some time I received the ERROR Message on the screen. The batteries were not so good neither.
All in all the unit did still heat up but was actually broken by my fault :-D.

That being said, I did tell S&B about the drop though but cleaned my Mighty as thoroughly as possible. I dont know if that had any positive impact on my RMA or because of coming Christmas but today I got the answer that I will receive either a new unit or a repaired one :).

Actually, following German laws, my warranty already had expired cause of the initial date of purchase so I am very very happy with their customur support :-)!

edit: I forgot to mention that my Mighty even fell into the toilet once for a very short time and still worked afterwards LOL. Of course I cleaned everything with ISO as I didnt want to vape my shitwater :D.

I'm very excited to see how the Boundless Tera performs versus the Mighty. I think, I will buy the tera or the new firewood 5, to have a more discreet companion to the Mighty.

Are there any new portable devices out that perform similar to the Mighty?

I am not so up to date because I enjoy the Mighty so much I did not even think about checking out some new devices lol. But competition is always good, especially for the customers, so I am always excited to hear about something comparable. I know that there are many units which perform good on individual preferences but to be honest I have never seen another small portable unit like the Mighty that produces so much steam. Even my buddy, a highly satisfied Volcano user, thinks about replacing his Volcano with a Mighty, in case his unit fully brakes at some time which is not going to happen :D.
I would appreciate to finally try out something new but my budget is limited therefore I am sticking with my (at no charge) repared / new mighty and Arizer EQ4 :/.

Edit: Wth the Boundlass Tera looks amazing!

vape critic (bud) posted a couple reviews of the ghost mv-1 a while back, said it was even better than the mighty (his top-rated portable). unfortunately, when it was finally released, people had extremely inconsistent experiences, with some MV-1s working fine and others... not so much. they're working on a fix, but I'd wait to hear how that goes before buying one. if I were you, I'd stick with the mighty for now.

Besides the mighty, that's tough. The solo I like but it is a little fragile. The davinci IQ is another one that I found to be easy to use and the smart paths make it set and forget which I haven't seen with any other vape. However, proper packing is required and when it isn't packed right, it's like trying to suck a golf ball through a straw. The MV1 I like too and found the draw to be even better than the Mighty. The MV1 for me at least is on point, the dynamic changes depending on stem placement, battery life is on par with the mighty.

It's hard to replace the Mighty yo. The Mighty is a beast. I saw the boundless Tera mentioned here, looked it up and that too man, that looks cool.

Also, what about the Crafty?

craftys have a much higher failure rate, probably due to there being a single battery instead of 2. I haven't seen numbers - and S&B aren't likely to share their figures - but anecdotally, there seem to be a lot more user reports of crafty failures.

Yeah, the two batteries mean it'll last twice as long. Here's the thing, I went through one Crafty every six months or about 48-65 hours on each. At which point the blinky death strobe man would occur. I've seen pictures of units now in the 100s but without the ability to replace batteries every six month to a year, it will forever require servicing. Mighty lasted a year for me each. I've gone through three and three so far.

The Mighty and Crafty are the mighty and Crafty though... they are extremely easy to use beasts when operational that put all other vapes to shame. If storz comes out with an on demand vape that is capable of sessions that is smaller with user replaceable batteries whether proprietary or not, they will sweep the whole f'in market man. I don't think they have that alien tech though. Gimme a Storz and Bickel MV1 man. How bout that? With a little digital display and two buttons in the front for heat adjustment. A hands free non button pushing party mode with smart paths.
Temperature increment adjustments viewable on a micro display . Ability to use dosing capsules. Yeahhhh... I have like 80 dosing capsules kicking around...

Gimme a flavor chamber too yo. I want Like a supervape modular rocketship. Hells yeah! I want like a Mighty PocketGodRocket! Yeahhh!!

Yoooo, I never actually talked about my love for this vape man. I mean a big fuck you to storz for making such a loveable device that I've had to part with yearly, but besides that, I love these two gadgets and there's mad love for that plenty too. I understand why there was no need to change the design after all this time.

Quite honestly, I'll probably always have a Mighty. It's rock solid when it operates. It's been collecting dust with the MV1 pretty much in use now daily with the spare crucibles, but it'll always be around. Next vape they come out with too, I'm sure it'll be extremely well thought out too man. Future holds good things :D

Yeah I love their devices, too. Not sure if I could ever give up my mighty, I am definitely going to care a lot more about the new one and will only vape with capsules to keep it nice and clean :).
What concerns me a little bit is my assumption that they are not even developing on a better portable unit but rather relax on their success with the mighty. Dunno if that's true but it feels so. Never ever no reveals of new official accessories (e.g. glass mouthpiece, stand), no info on further devices... What are they doing lol.

E: Okay today I received an official bill for my RMA which says that my device could not have been repaired and I will get a new one. Does that mean they sent a new, sealed package with all new accessories etc :o ?!
Then I'd have two chargers, which would be really sweet.

I'm in my 3rd week with my Mighty and sofar the experience has been great! This vape makes me almost as high as my Extreme Q+Ddave does. Its way better than my Arizer Air.

What I'm still trying to figure out is how I need to grind it. After a while I was convinced that a really fine grind would give me way more vapor and hit amounts, but last few days I've been having opposite results so I started using a more coarse grind.

Whatever type of grind I use, I always get high enough anway, but I just like it when it feels like the bowl is going on forever :p

I haven't been cleaning the cooling unit yet. I'm not sure if I should soak it in ISO alcohol since its plastic. I've read that it should be no problem but I've also read that I shouldn't. I've received a few ISO qtips with the vape for free, so I think I'm gonna use these first instead of soaking the whole cooling unit in ISO.

I can't live without my Mighty anymore, it truly is a beast. I love the accessories they give with the vape, especially the brush.

I've always head better results with a medium-to-coarse grind, and whatever the size of chamber (capsules or chamber reduced in size by a pad or topper screen), a full, slightly tamped load.

ISO alcohol for cleaning is no problem, with the only exception being the 'hologram' label might come unglued if soaked for, like, hours.
For cleaning, use 99% iso. Separate the two halves of the cooling unit by sliding locking tab to unlock, then pushing down on the center post (if they seem 'glued' together by resin, let them warm up on a warm Mighty and try again). Put them in a baggie with enough iso to cover them. Suspend the baggie in a glass or bowl of very hot tap water for 10 to 20 minutes, occasionally pulling the baggie out to give a little shake. Pull the pieces out (I use forceps to keep hands clean) and give them a thorough rinse with cool water then let them dry. Re-assemble, being careful that the little blue o-ring that surrounds the lock post is all the way down, so it doesn't get pinched when you slide the lock over the post.
Prior to the cleaning, some folks like to scrape out the available re-claim, for a variety of creative uses.

Well, right now during my Mighty RMA I'm kinda forced to use my old EQ4 and somehow I don't clearly remember how to properly use it as I don't get near that much vape like from the mighty...
But I know that it can be a beast too.

No worries I'm cleaning my mighty in 99% ISO for exactly a year now, sometimes I let the cooking unit soak for a couple of hours.

Re-assemble, being careful that the little blue o-ring that surrounds the lock post is all the way down, so it doesn't get pinched when you slide the lock over the post.
Oh man seriously that is in fact the problem?! Don't know how many small o rings I've destroyed with my cooling unit, I always thought this was normal and kind of a bad design decision...

Prior to the cleaning, some folks like to scrape out the available re-claim, for a variety of creative uses.
Hell yeah! The resin inside of the cooling unit lets the mighty produce steam for a super long time. Sometimes I can vape for about 45 minutes in just one session because of that.
I also like to evaporate my ISO and scrap off the oil/resin afterwards, which is very intense!

For me the Ddave mod made it so much better. Without the Ddave mod it was okay but nothing that would amaze me. You should get it if you haven't got it yet and still want to make use of the EQ.

I use the EQ on 220 degrees celsius with Ddave mod and my D020-D bubbler. It blasts me away everytime I use it.

I was looking for the same experience in a portable, thats why I bought the Mighty :)

hos I update my experience to date;

A month ago I opened an RMA for my mighty say that his battery is short in use, I received my confirmation by email but I doubted to if I was worth sending my device with less capacity :hmm: (3 long or 4 short sessions) month of ask if my RMA was still active, they answered that yes and they added a shipping sticker to be send to take UPS without any expense :o.

Only a few hours ago that my mighty is away from home and although I have not used it recently and not intended to use it in the next few days ... I already miss it ...

i will inform to about the development of my RMA, when have notice new !! :goon:
