I started vaping because of FC. I came here because of this thread. After reading through the whole thread I started looking at options for vaping flower. An old roommate had a volcano that I had used a lot and I had used a vapor bothers whip vape before but I looooove bong rips and the volcano/vapor bros just didn’t do it for me to totally stop combustion. FC opened my eyes to just how many different vapes there are and vape bong rips. My first vape was a LSV. I was immediately in love with it (and vaping) and gave up combustion as soon as I got it. I do occasionally take bong hits at friends house but it just reminds me of how nasty smoking is.
not until you break out the gravity Vapor bong will your friends be Like :science:

I never enjoyed smoking. I started with edibles, wanted to expand my horizons, so I started smoking. I enjoyed the differences in each strain but I hated cleaning glass and the hits just didn't taste good (they were gross). My brother bought a couple vapes from the local head shop to try them out, I was hesitant to try vaping at the time. I fell in love with it immediately, so much tastier, the high is better, less smell, etc. It was everything I wanted. I occasionally still smoke blunts and joints because I don't like to turn down other people's offers, but I only smoke now if someone is offering.

I combusted for 20+ years and only recently fucked combustion in June when my father died of lung cancer.
I did try vaping years ago with the volcano and even some handheld plastic flower vapes but it only got me a lil stoned. Like the volcano, i could go through 2 or 3, 2 foot bags and still not be pleased until i combusted.

The dispensary budtenders actually introduced me onto quartz bangers and from that point, I was hooked and looked for better ways to vape.

Now I am 100% combustion free minus the few times my flowerpot combusted. Hate when that happens as i have to clean the rig and everything to get rid of that combustion smell!

Now when i smell someone smoking a joint, the smell is disgusting. I used to love it!

Voted efficiency, although "taste" could also fit the bill for me.

Was burning through about an ounce a month, sometimes more. Big bong, big bowl, big rips, little weed.

Got vaporizers, started being more efficient. Saving money.....which I then spent on more vaporizers

It really is super efficient....I smoke every day, multiple times a day (minimum of 3, upwards of 7-8 depending on day of week)......I go through about an eighth a week, if that. So my usage was halfed :)

ha ha, when you vape you still say smoke... I always remind people, uh hum it's Vapor not smoke

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
Something I deeply regret of my very early smoking days was the habit to finish the whole thing, nothing left unburned

:puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:
Really, only thinking about it is emetic

I would like to say that health is what made me switch but in the end it was my first real good vape, arizer solo, that let my taste the difference and choose for the good

Health intent was there 2-3 yrs before too when I tried my first vape: a cheapo heating copper dish in a glass sphere and a whip thinghie worth nothing

When used to smoke I did not see the long term economy but only the “huge” in some case price of vapes (volcano classic was around 650€ before 2010?) so i waited for them to become popular

What made you switch?

- the light bulb ;)

(4 real my first vaping experience  long long times before the volcanos erupted...but it wasn't THAT convincing tbh )
main argument for me was actually the smell improvement in the house and the taste in my mouth

Used to mix weed with tobacco, and roll it in papers,

1 years worth of rolling papers and cigarettes was around the price of the volcano, if not more.(1 pack of 20 smokes is around 6 euro here)

Surely I would have started vaping earlier if someone had educated me proper on how to actually use cannabis in the first place. Good thing we have the internet tho!

But yea, i think the illegality of the herb is what have caused a lot harm. Since that often limit information shared in the local community etc.

a pretty common thought, but be careful with that type of thinking, u will probably end up being anoter vaporizer acquiring syndrome (VAS) victim - a serious sickness, but there is a 42 vapes program to cure it :p
the last vape i got i didn't needed - but it was cheap and it looks cool
it is really really bad performing - but it looks cool
it is probably not even healty - but it looks cool
yes, it was a vapir vapormatic deluxe
VAS is somehow manageable by getting some low interrest credit from your future self for the tobacco savings of the next years ;) and after completing the 42 vapes program you will only have a little need left for grinders and glass...
To justify/finance that you could start looking up prices for a new lung to compare

In the Netherlands I've learned to smoke joints with tobacco, which is normal here. This gave me an addiction to tobacco aswell. After 5 years I was so sick of the tobacco, but I couldn't quit aslong as I would still roll my joints with tobacco. Rolling a joint with only weed made me cough so much I just couldn't enjoy it.

Thats when I bought an Arizer Air a year ago. Since then I haven't been smoking anymore, maybe a few cigs when I was drunk at my brother's bachelor party or marriage. Other than that, I've been off tobacco while I used to smoke atleast 3~5 cigs a day. Vaping truly is the best, my throat and lungs feel way better ever since I switched. I feel more energic throughout the day and I save so much money.

I started running to battle a crippling panic disorder. I also started to have bad experiences from smoking weed. I thought a vaporizer would make me a better runner and a more medicinal effect to treat the panic disorder and anxiety. I also quit smoking, and thought that to stay free from cigarettes I also need to stop smoking weed and look for an alternative way to use it. Been combustion free for a couple of months now and the anxiety/panic is mostly at bay since. My running is easier as well. No regrets over my decision to FC ☮

My consumption has gone UP though, as I enjoy cannabis more now :D

I can relate to this. I quickly started to browse for more units and start to collect. I have two now and the third is on the way to my mailbox. Next up is a high end stationary vape

Cumulative damage to the throat from bong hits was my primary reason. Went to the ER a few times from bad trips pertaining to strange throat pain and didn't want to smoke anymore period. Bought a volcano the day after I had a profound shroom trip and although I use Vapolutions now I have been vaping since.

So many other bonuses too

Health but honestly, I never switched. I started combusting and vaping at the same time. My first "smoking" device was a vapor genie. I combusted and vaped for years before I upgraded to better vapes and didn't feel the need to combust anymore.

Health, Respiratory problems related to combustion. Asthma, chronic bronchitis, heal every morning.. I got scared with my breathing problems. I also had some deaths in my family because of tobacco. Maybe a psychological process/trigger.
I could barely smoke, but I needed my MJ to go to bed.

ANd It was love at first sight with vaping. The day i bought my E.Q. I stopped all combustion.
I was also a tobacco smoker, I quit the same day, and never started again.

Today, two and a half years later, I still think I should go see a pulmonologist, but most of my symptoms have disappeared and I can not stand any tobacco combustion or even MJ combustion in a closed place.

Hello. Have you heard about the amazing benefits of Oil of Oregano for gealing and reapairing the inside of the lungs? It has been shown to reverse the damage done by long term heavy smoking and literally turn the clock back years, amazing the doctors.

Everybody with respiratory issues should know about it, especially those who have incurred damage to lungs from tobacco smoke.

I take this one, it is the best and very affordable too. You must dikute it to at lesst 50% with olive oil.
I prefer 60 % olive oil to 40% oregano. It makes it less fiery like this and easier to swallow down.
It is only fiery when you start to take it- it is reacting and doing work immediately.
I buy the oil undiluted- 100% oregano. I have empty bottles to mix up my own with olive oil.
Here are 2 products, one is already dikuted to 60% olive oil. The other one is undiluted, which works out a bit cheaper, especially if you buy 2 bottles (makes over 4 bottles worth.)

For me it was simple, I had a stroke at 42 and quitting the joints was an easy decision after that.. I haven't had a joint in 19months and fuck do I miss them, the ritual more than the actual spliff, that tobacco shite makes everything taste rank now!! As long as I've got my vapcaps and a bit of weed I'm a happy chappy..

Downward spiral
I was reading some tech article and after while toking on a one-hitter, figured some mf'er had to figure out a way to make getting high better thru technology. Fortunately/unfortunately it lead me to that shitty 1st High Times Best Vape list or whatever they called it. Had a Bell Jar vape prior from a friend and wasn't impressed.

The IoLite vape was first. Then after all the trials and tribulations there, got a MFLB and Extreme Q from Arizer...never went back. Still haven't combusted(on purpose...DynaVap lol)since the Q.

Many years and many bowls, 6ft joints(Cannabis Cup lol), and bongs passed over. I know so many people I have met must of thought I was such a snob(or a NARC haha) for turning them down, but oh well.

Health! I never was a smoker really. Because I enjoyed 'medicating' i used to use glass bongs but it used to niggle in the back of my mind about the danger because of the carcinogens ...

Switched to vaping as a new year resolution and haven't looked back!

Long draws
For me it was health. I love herb. Been smoking since I was 15 and am 35 now. Have three kids and a gorgeous wife. Vaping should keep me around a little longer. Now I’m convinced about everything else like the high and taste. I only had an issue at first because I combusted for so long and it helps my auto immune disease to hit damn near combustion temperatures. So at first I as like this doesn’t make me feel better at all . In the first days I was about ready to give up then I found the sweet sweet 428 degrees Fahrenheit. Now I just need a better vaporizor and I’m set.

Four years ago after smoking cigarettes for more than fifty years--Lucky Strikes and other non-filtered mostly--and trying repeatedly to quit, I finally did it. I'm a vigorous biker, skier, and winter mountaineer and when I retired a few years ago, I realized that my lungs were keeping me from doing the joyous things that I loved. I'd been smoking pot nearly as long, almost fifty years! After quitting cigs, I noticed that my lungs still hurt after an evening of smoking joints and/or pipes and bongs. So I tried vaping with an inexpensive vape. But it wasn't convenient and I kept combusting. Once I got an easier to use vape, I gave up almost all MJ smoking. I find I still get a bit of lung pain/congestion but lowering temps cures that almost immediately. When I want to get really ripped, I attach one of my vapes to a water bubbler and make kief sandwiches. And I feel so much better, not putting combustion products into my lungs. Still hiking steep mountains and xc skiing up hill.
