Cleanest / easiest way to transfer and dispense ground herb?

I'm brand new to herb vaping. I just bought the electric grinder below:

I'm looking for a tool that will suck the ground herbs into some kind of wand and dispense accurately into a tiny thimble-like crucible/chambers (or transfer the whole contents into a glass jar. I have no idea what something like this is even called, if it even exists.

I found the below forum thread; however, I'm not even sure if the devices mentioned in that thread would be what I'm looking for; or, if there's something better to do the job.

Are you aware that those types of grinders tend to pulverise the trichomes and throw them out to the extremities of the grinder causing a lot of caking on the walls and around the blades.

A lot of longtime users tend to avoid these types of grinders.

Also the grind consistency has a big impact on a Vapes performance.

Most convection style Vapes do better with an even coarser grind to allow the hot air through the material.

Conduction Vapes tend to do better with a finer grind to allow the conduction of heat from the oven walls.

The above is just a guide line and isn't always the case as each vape and how the user hits it have significant impact on end result.

I did previously use a coffee bean Grinder that used exactly the same mechanism and I just ended up tipping the processed material into a Jayarz container. Using a dab tool to reclaim as much kief as possible.

From the Jayarz I just used my Vapcap to scoop the material direct into its bowl.

In your case I'd get a scoop from @Ratchett's Delta 3D Studios.

I now no longer use the electric Grinder, instead I've opted for an Interplanetary Development Super Weapon II. It's a solid 4 piece that produces the even coarse grind I currently like using. I grind only what I need for the evening (sometimes two nights worth) and scoop directly out of the grinder. I don't transfer the material into any intermediary container unless I'm heading out.

If I wanted a fine Grinder the New Vape Fine Grind seems to be king of the fine grind hill.

For loading a small crucible it probably use @Ratchett's tool unless I was using a stem in which case I'd place the basket in the stem and suck the material up into the stem and thus the basket.

Hey @MKANET first off, welcome! You found the best resource guide for the beginning vaporist, so well done. I too am a relative newcomer after 30+ years combusting and I agree with you, this forum is great! People have gone out of their way to welcome & help me, I hope your experience is the same.

Now in regards to that grinder, it seems that is simply a rebranded coffee grinder. If you're still within amazon terms to return it, I would. Everything @GreenHopper says is true, I'm sorry friend. It's a power tool and in this case, IME the finesse of a hand tool is required. This is a good thread if you decide to look into others down the road.

In regards to your question, many members customize their loading technique to the vaporizer being used. Many members have many vaporizers, so you might get more useful answers if you tell us what are you loading your material into. I wish you well in your journey and I'm sure I'll see you around!

heres one easy way (works with my da buddha at leasy)

i put a nug whole (or a small part of a big nug) in the bucket... i take a few puffs turn it around take another few puffs. i empty the bucket and crush it fine (since its already a bit dry it doesnt stick much on the fingers) then i reload and take about twenty small thick hits and its done.

also because it is very finely ground, the air flow gets really slow so it helps finish with the higher temp stuff without have to dial a new temperature

Check out the Chewy 2 thread in Vapor Related Equipment. Battery-powered electric grinder/stash box. This one actually works very well and grinds right into your bowl/crucible.

I use a medium/coarse 4-piece generic grinder with enough flower for a day or two. Transfer the ground flower to a folded business card, and 'pour' the ground flower into a doob tube. I then use the doob tube to pour the contents into either a bowl on one vaporizer or the screen inside the stem of my Milaana. I just pour as much as I want in and loosely tamp it. Grind and packing is a huge variable in vaporzing-as many have already said-a lot depends on the type of vape you're using. I've tried conduction only with fine grinds and I don't enjoy the experience. Convection with a loosely tamped medium/coarse grind gives me the taste and vapor experience I enjoy most.

Experiment, practice. It's fun.

...i use parchment paper for everything lmao...
...i dump my ground herb from grinder on to a sheet of parchment used to funnel into my Jaryz (parchment just folded)...

...and i use a 2" x 3" piece of parchment to dump some herb onto to load bowls....



...parchment paper is the best, its cheap as hell, last forever(in this application), and one size fits all!!!

As for electronic grinders, I have a Pensimple. I think it is better then the Chewy. The Pensimple was a novelty purchase, not perfect and definitely cannot compete with manual grinders on the the market.

I have a Pensimple too but I'm not all that impressed with it if I'm being honest. For starters it's too large for my requirements, obviously that's a personal statement and others may have different needs.

I haven't gotten my Chewy 2.0 yet but I'm looking forward to opening up that Crimbo present.

Until I have the Chewy 2.0 I can't really compare it to the Pensimple but just from what I have read in other threads the two are very different beasts.

The Pensimple is a manual grinder with an electronic dispensing mechanism where as the Chewy 2.0 is an actual electronic grinder. To be more precise the Chewy 2.0 is an electronic chopper using rotating blades and a spring loaded mechanism to force the material into those blades.

Other FC users have reported that the Chewy 2.0's build quality is significantly higher than the 1.0 version.

With the Pensimple I concluded that if I had to manually grind then a doob tube was a significantly smaller way to carry my material and dispensing was just a matter of tipping and tapping.
