Zen garden in the desert.

Lights are on but nobody's home.
Damn pod ran out during my walk.
The Era really embraced that zen transience concept.

Received the wooden case, but can't test yet with Era. Still podless, need to make that 3.5 hour trek north.

Fit and finish are OK, but speaking of finish, it was still damp. Both halves standing against wall to dry out, and my bedroom now smells like I do part time furniture refinishing. Think this would make a nice gift box for an Era recipient. Not sure of its utility as a carry case, more as a classy storage case on the bedstand. Got a tightpac, and that makes more sense on the go. Also got 5/8 ID silicone caps, cut, good cover for carrying Era bareback in pocket. Pinch/squeeze cap to eject Era, pretty quick and easy. Must drive for more pods, then can resume testing.

What disappoints you with the case, @snackmaster ?

Similar to what you described except maybe worse? It was definitely packaged while the finish was still wet, causing some "pooling" on the inside and outside surfaces of the case. The lid took some muscle to remove the first time as the wet finish essentially glued the pieces together. The bag it came in and the business card placed in the bag along with it were also adhered to the box, leaving marks and paper remnants behind. Same very strong odor as yours.

I already initiated a return. Aside from the finish issues it's totally adequate for, as you described it, a classy bedside case. Would've kept it had it not required additional time and resources to refinish.

I ordered a wooden box too, and it came seemingly still damp from staining. I left it open for a week or so, and wiped all exposed wood with 95% Everclear. Smell is "virtually" gone. Now that the smell is gone, I like it.

Kandypens is a bad brand imo and also the temperature control is a big key that won't be there with the rubi. I'm also fairly certain that the rubi uses a ccell coil

Well my Sour Jack sativa pod is finally empty, the wicks are still soaked with oil so it kept hitting a while at temp two, but now I had to bump up to three to get the last of it out. My Blueberry Kush indica pod is still mostly full though, hard to tell exactly, but should be about half or even more? We'll see...

I got some good new 510 carts to try recently so I haven't been using my Era as much lately. I like both systems I guess, as long as the oil and carts are nice, super stealth anywhere vaping is very simple and easy regardless.

"*Era pods not available online" is making me think it's pre-filled from dispensaries. Though I guess those could still be refillable. For that price I'd probably be in if the pods are refillable. I might wait for some reviews. I've always avoided the c02 stuff before because my gear is more for shatter/bho. I would think if the pods were refillable they'd sell empty ones online, but that's just my guess. It's nice looking though, if it performs it'd be a great little stealth vape.
They are refillable

I like the fact that it has no switches or buttons. I know I'm paying a lot more for the pre-filled concentrates that they sell, but I still prefer the Era (by a wide margin) over all the other vape pens that I've used. The Nativ rosin pods I've been using are exceptionally smooth and I can get through most hits without coughing - which is a new development for me using vape pens. The app might seem like an unnecessary thing at first, but I've found that I can dial in the perfect temp (each cartridge seems to have an optimal temp for me at least) better with the app than the 4 pre-set temps available sans app.

I have to say I'm enjoying this thing more than I thought I would. I don't recommend it for the budget-minded, but if you don't mind paying the stupid prices that they charge for carts, it's a really nice little rig. :2c:

Although not my daily driver, I've been using a POD for more than several weeks now but can't seem to identify the level of remaining oil in the POD, whether leaving it side ways for a while or using a magnifying glass. I can't imagine its still so full that there is no contrast....I don't get it :hmm:

Haha yeah it is, lasts a long while and it's hard to tell til it is legit low. I finally finished my Sour Jack pod a little while ago, but my Blueberry Kush pod still looks full though I've used it quite a bit if not as much as the other clearly. Need to get my hands on some of these rosin pods!

I kept using one of my pods, thinking the same thing as you. Eventually the amount remaining became obvious. A clear "level" line of oil appeared, slightly above the level of the wicks.

You guys are the best!

Anyone able to locate some type of dustcover for the era mouthpiece? I think they all should really come with these - like the silicone cover that comes with the CCELL CBD cartridge. One for the RUBI might have been a good fit but those seem not to be on the market either.

Do we really need a cover for the pods? I take out the pod when not in use and store them in their (rather large) original case. What I think would be really cool is if @Ratchett made a little box that could store a few pods that you could open/close for easy swapping of pods while out and about.

:peace:

That too!

But yes, in a pocket out and about is when they get lint and such stuck to them, I also don't leave them in when not in use

I suppose a condom to prevent Levi lint would be useful.

I mentioned that a container be cool for out and about, but in reality, I just would like something to hold the pods while not in use, not necessarily on the go. The original containers are ridiculously large and take up too much space in my vape lab. A pod container would be a great alternative.
