Probably not heat tolerant enough IMO. 500f is decent, but we really need to find an accurate heat exchanger temp or try it to really know. Not sure I want some melted silicone on my sv3 to find out the hard way
If it does work, I think it would be a great inexpensive solution!

After a session, the block shouldn't be over 500F which is what the mits are rated for.

For shits and giggles I just measured the block temp with a K-type thermocouple before and after a short session.
I stopped heating when the SV3 temp read 325°F and the hottest part of the block I measured (right where I had the torch pointing the whole time) was 350°F. At the end of the session the temp on the SV3 showed 250° and measuring several points of the block, the temp was pretty much the same as the SV3 readout. Aluminum conducts heat extremely well so the temps are very even all over the block. Bottom line: even if putting it away immediately after a session, the block temp will be about the same temp as the readout; in my case 250°.
No worries about melted silicone methinks.
Thanks for the measurements @Stu! Shame those puppies aren't available on amazon canada. But as I mentioned before I think I can hack my oven mitts with some duct tape to make something somewhat useful. Nice to know it's possible, and so easy!

Nice! The thermometer broke a while ago so I don't use this much. When I attached my K-type thermometer to it I was getting slightly lower readings and think it had to do with the placement. But maybe I was wrong given what you found. I tried to place it like the original underneath the silicone and thought maybe I didn't have it high enough in there. Maybe I should just put it anywhere and get used to what it reads. What do you think?
Honestly, I think it'd be a pain in the ass to have to hold the t/c against parts of the block during heating. I almost knocked over mine several times during that test trying to maintain good contact with the block, so no, not ideal at all IMO. You should try again putting it under the silicone on the stem. I don't see why that wouldn't work.
Can you not get a replacement thermometer from Ed?

I see there's a single up for grabs in the classifieds... with (and wait for it) one of the two Ti WPA's that were made for it.
I reckon I'd be grabbing that if I lived in the US
Depends on the price. The Mestizo Ti WPA looks tight, but so is a uncut Vapo2 glass stem w/o having to use the grommet seals. That allows it be used hands free & the stem to be pulled out right after heating too. Not saying the Ti WPA isn't cool or that I wouldn't want to buy one, it would just have to be a reasonable price. They originally went for $40 each & I personally wouldn't want to pay too much more for it than that ($50). Doesn't even matter (for me), I don't believe the WPA & SV3 are being sold separately. Oh well.
There was another member that was selling/sold one, and they wanted closer to triple that amount! It's pretty much worthless to me, considering it won't fit a stock sv3 screen, so that will tell you something about the airflow.
Vapo2 straight glass stem (elusive and rare now!) or stock aluminum FTW!

You need the Vapo2 AIWB @KidFated. Of all the dry methods I've tried w/ the Supreme, this one has proved to be the most potent & biggest cloud producer (w/ load sizes being equal of course). I fucking love it! @vapirtoo was the 1st to suggest it. Thanks again my NY city friend!
Hey dude, does that have an 8mm or 9mm outside diameter?
Dual sv3's have landed! One arrived with the thermometer turned on and buttons did not function. A quick removal and insertion of the battery and problem solved!

The reason I bring this up is b/c it's the same size thickness as the Vapolution bent stem that created all the draw restriction. I don't know if it's the carb or b/c it's not through water (or both), but I don't get the nearly the same level of draw restriction w/ the Vapo2 AIWB as I did w/ the Vapo2 bent stem. I love using the AIWB w/ the Sup more than through the j-hooks! As awkward as it can be.

okay man, now i'm really getting confused (although very elevated at the moment ala sv3 dual style!). I don't care about any vapo 2 bowl other than the ones with the best airflow which I understand to be 9mm OD. I thought only the straight bowls that are out of stock have this larger bore for better airflow? Am I missing something?

The Vapolution 2.0 straight stem - large is 9mm
The Vapolution 2.0 bent stems are 9mm
(These are the ones Vapehunter used that have the increased thickness over the 8mm & 9mm straight stems which increased the draw restriction. I owned one & can confirm the draw is super tight!)
The Vapolution 2.0 All-In-Wonder Bowl is 9mm
(As I mentioned above, the AIWB is the same thickness like the Vapolution 2.0 bent stem w/ all the draw restriction problems. But to my surprise the draw restriction is way more open & free flowing unlike the bent stem even though they're the same thickness!

Quick note about the 8mm medium straight stems. I ordered a couple of these w/ my 1st Sup b/c the fit was so crazy fuckin' tight w/ the stock alu stem. After the fit became a bit looser & I started using the stock stems & large Vapo2 9mm stems instead, I stopped using the 8mm for awhile. Now I like to use it when I hit the Sup sorta like a log. Heat her up to around 350-360°F then insert the stem after its reached peak temp, hit, remove stem & it's all flavor city after that. And the 8mm stem holds the least amount (9mm glass stem holds 1.5x more) & is easier to slide in & out
than the 9mm which makes it great for this particular purpose.

I have more desire for this stem than any other vape! Of course what I want can't be available, perhaps forever who knows really? It's like what will come out first, the large straight stem or an electric sv3? And it's just a simple piece of glass tubing?

I'd guess it's due to the carb? What other explanation? I think you've done the most extensive stem testing on this forum! Thanks for your very detailed and illustrated post again, forgot about that one!
Dude, i just had to try a dry hit with that silicone tube that Ed includes (even though I hate silicone with a passion), since I don't have a j-hook or anything else suitable. FML! Did not like the experience whatsoever! Was maybe around 350f, and the vapour was HOT as fuck! And just that disgusting rubber silicone smell and taste, and when I pulled the silicone off wow was the end ever piping hot...almost like it's over it's maximum temp capability? A quick iso wash and that silicone is tucked away never to be used by me again. I'm just so not a dry vapour without water/bong kinda guy, unless there is a cooling unit attached!
Both of my new sv3's as well as my previous two have both had that insanely tight fit that I actually need to use pliars to remove the stems. But it loosens up in no time and moving the silicone sleeve up a touch helps.
I still can't believe how HEAVY of a hitter the sv3 is! My girlfriend refuses to use it during the day because it absolutely destroys her! Can't say the same for some other vapes!

Lately I'veve been looking online for 9mm glass straws/tubing. If I find something that works, you'll be first to know. 
I don't use those silicone tubes. Weakest point of the SV3 kit IMO. I think Ed should ditch those & just include the j-hook instead for dry usage. Speaking of, did you get j-hooks w/ your order @biohacker ? Yes sir!!!I guess I can share this now. Was kinda embarrassed before. When I said I had 2 SV3's...I was lying.

No, I think maybe Ed ran out? There was some time lapse between when I first inquired about the Dually, and then my purchase of the two singles. I also think it would be a good idea for Ed to include a spare bowl with each kit, but whatever.
