Not necessarily vape specific, but I burned a finger trying to catch a freshly heated Omnivap XL Titanium that slipped, I did not want it branding my leather. :bang:

Perhaps I'm over rotating, regardless I feel open flame style vapes expose many of us without even a legal disclaimer. I am so distraught over this development that I plan to start a march in our respective back yards. So if you're in for this fight please share your burn story and note your willingness to coordinate a #YardiMarch where we will march in Mi Yard.

A friend of mine, while being introduced to the Vapcap for the first time, accidentally put the hot cap end in his mouth and burned his lip.

However, I should add that he is a cigarette smoker and once put the lit end of his cigarette into his mouth... just sayin'.

I was stress testing a few Gn0mes i made and between switches i knocked the my torch with my elbow and it went down on the ground while in operation (5 days ago) and it didnt exactly exploded but it released an enormous inferno which burned my fingers, beard,my left nipple, and my left eyebrow + some of my hair... It was a fortune that i had a whole jar of honey near me.. After taking a cold shower, i spread honey over all of my burns, this is the best remedy for burns, and the sooner it is applied the better. I didnt had any complications ,just a few bubbles on one of my fingers and some reptilian skin which is now all gone.. Guess i gotta be more careful and dont stand naked near open flames :D... + get at least a welding helmet + gloves if i am going to deal with that kind of stuff in future.. Live and burn, oops, i meant LEARN.|
@Mr. Gweilo 420 Once i handed a bong with a Supreme v2 on it to guy, who after watching the aluminium get torched for two minutes , decides that the heater is the mouthpiece...,I think it still has marks from his lips on it..,.

P.S Honey is best used from in the first 24 hours. It would be best if you keep the burn under honey all the time. After that you can continue to treat it with coconut oil to prevent scarring. I use ABV coconut salve and it worked like a charm :).

Once a friend overheated his domeless ,and his rig is really tiny,so when he dabbed, before he started pulling, and a glob of hot oil launched at his nose and 5 years later he still has a yellowish spot on the top of his nose... lol..

I still smoke tobacco sometimes, maybe every other month or something ill indulge myself, but someone gave me a cig the other day and I was baked and I will admit I did exactly that, im really hoping that doesnt happen when I get my vapcap lol... i threw it away cause it blackened the filter and made it taste like shit. and because its something I rarely do, when i do it, I want it to be nice, also how I feel about alcohol now, I rarely drink anymore, but when I do, I want something nice.

I've never been into vapes that have exposed hot parts, so I've never really burned myself badly.
The most "exposed" vape that I had was the EQ. I think I've managed to burn myslef a little twice with the hot end of the cyclone bowl when I took it out.
Once on my arm which left a little red crescent for a while there (but that could have been a different vape, it was long ago, I don't really remember how it happened).
And once I've been blowing on it to cool it down and accidentaly touched it with my lips. It still burned but was so brief it didn't leave any marks.
Burns can be permanent, so I think it's not worth the smaller size/price to have a vape with exposed hot parts.
Vapes are supposed to be harm reduction devices, so the potential for permanent burns doesn't really go with that imo.

I remember somehow sticking my finger into my log vape heating port. Gave me a round burn and yow that hurt. If you can hurt yourself with a vaporizer, I've done it. I almost put a hot vapcap hot tip first into my mouth. Thank god I didn't. I touch hot ss tips from log vapes all the darn time!

Glass gongs/stems stay hot for longer than you'd expect. Just saying... -.-
That's my story too. Had a DDave mod on my EQ and had a session. Finished, pulled the whip to pull out the elbow-pack (tiny) basket. After a couple of minutes, I saw some flakes in the screened cyclone bowl, took it off the vape, flipped it over and brought it to my lips to blow out the residue into the trash.

Genius.

The ring of burn extended over both lips. It was as though I was caught kissing the devil's arse--and it BURNS!

Put my finger directly in the bottom of my pax like a complete idiot. Hurt a lot Lol
Lol once i put my finger in a herbstick deluxe, probably had a similar experience.
People should be putting some raw honey on rhe burned palce for at least an hour or two,the more the better.. it is annoying but it helps a ton. The sooner you do that the better :). Afterwards coconut virgin oil to prevent scarring and speed up healing :))

Honey will help keep the burn moist and has antibacterial properties. Best thing you can do is run the burn under cold running water and do so for longer than you think is necessary for not only do you need to cool the skin, but you need to chill the already damaged skin to slow progression.

I’ve burnt myself with the Sublimator atomiser a couple of times, just a small graze but that’s enough to leave a burn.
Other vapes have burned me but not to that extent.
When I’m cooking is the time I usually burn myself.
I think the best thing you can do with a burn is apply aloe as soon as you can.
If you get it on within the first 5 minutes & keep it on there as long as you can you can even avoid blistering.
Aloe has saved me more than once & from major burns & scarring.
It’s a fantastic medicinal plant & it’s so good I’m surprised we haven’t prohibited it already.

Sometimes to stupid to become a fool
if it only would be 'cheap skin' - how about added 'acceleration holes' in expensive rain jackets or other clothes/couches/carpets... (typical question being: where did the hot part drop? - can't find it...)
ain't there a butane vape insurance?
maybe it is about the same thrill in handling hot vapes like in combusting ?
