Sexual Harassment Accusations...

I am personally loving it. Not that people were sexually assaulted. That's horrible. So I'm not "loving" that aspect.

I hate Hollywood culture and hate people who are obsessed with celebrities.

Hollywood is so high on it's own supply. They tell us how we should think, how we should feel, about SO MUCH in the world where they really have no value in their opinion, other than the fact that they have an outlet to speak it. Why should I care or put stock into, lets say, Chelsea Handler's opinion on the world? Or even better, Ashley Judd.

Them having an outlet to speak it, gives them an inflated sense of self. An inflated sense of intelligence, an inflated sense of morality, an inflated sense of reality. 99/100 people are not lucky enough to make it. Congrats, you lucked out and made it! Should I now worship your every word?

Truthfully, the majority of them are worthless. No value added. They are entertainers. If we are not entertained, guess what skill they have? Nothing. If we were on a plane, and we crashed at sea, they're the first to die lol.

So, am I getting kicks seeing the ugliness behind the curtain? You bet I am. It's just evidence of the hypocrisy. Louis CK said I was dumb for my opinions. So did Kevin Spacey. So did Harvey Weinstein. So did Ashley "my body is a temple" Judd.

Not that I ever put stock into their opinion, they are entertainers so their opinions I couldn't give a rats ass about either. But I do like seeing them all eat crow after all that talk about how virtuous and great they are.

Alec Baldwin too lol, abuses women one night talks about how women don't need abused the next. The hypocrisy is outrageous. Guilty conscious I guess?

Just my .02 , I haven' really paid much mind to it all either, cause again I don't follow hollywood. Shame that it's a sex abusers paradise apparently.

The casting coach is as old as the stage. My friend was a child star, and later as a 25 year old man, he had to turn down million dollar deal because at the final signing the investor wanted to suck his dick, and my friend refused. The home boys back in the hood said he should of taken one for the team, Ducati motorcycles
for all!, but he pointed out the slippery slope.
I'm really surprised that people are so amazed. We are in the midst of a cultural change where sexual predation is no longer acceptable.
This change is catching a lot of people out there. Cosby!

I've known about Louis CK for a few years now and I realized it's hard for me to enjoy his shit the same anymore. The scope of this isn't surprising. I was shocked by Kevin Spacey, but saying that hollywood has a problem with sexual harassment is like saying rock n roll has an alcohol problem.

I hope it's a culture shift and not just this knee jerk reaction that eventually fizzles out. There have been a lot of culture changes in very recent years and it's freaking people out when they aren't ready for the change yet. Some people are still grappling with trans rights and gay marriage, but now guys can get in trouble for not being PC around women?! LOL it sounds ridiculous but it's true. Hell, some people still think domestic abuse is a family's issue and not anyone else's business. Culture is changing fast and it's scary as hell for people who pine for yesterday.

Somebody might think somebody needs some help after reading that. Seriously.

Awful lot of energy and knowledge(but maybe not, cause you "haven' really paid much mind to it", yea right, LOLOL) went into this posting on a topic you really don't follow.

But I certainly understand where your coming from. When some batshit crazy, self righteous politician decides to vote against every piece of LGBT legislation, dictating others lives, what to think, how to feel, and then gets caught for a DUI leaving a gay mens nightclub with another male in his car.....AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGHHHH!!! It drives me nuts, but I LOVE to see that nasty behind the curtain. You know? But thats how demented former Senator Roy Ashburn is. Imagine how many lives were affected because this tool was given an outlet to speak. If this guy wasn't a Senator, who would even care about his backwards ass opinions. He'd probably be selling insurance or driving for Uber.

How about Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. Acting all greater than thou, telling us how to live our lives and shit. All the while banging the underage/rather young girls of Alabama. I LOVE IT.
Well, not the bad part, you know.

Ed Schrock---From 2001 to 2005, Schrock served as U.S. Representative for Virginia’s Second Congressional District, and stood 100% against gay rights. He dropped plans for reelection, though, when a tape of him soliciting sex with men on a gay chat line surfaced.

Richard Curtis---As a Washington State Representative, Curtis voted against same-sex domestic partnerships and against an anti-discrimination law protecting gay people.
But he was eventually outed by a male escort who had been blackmailing him and threatening to tell his wife about their trysts.

Robert Bauman---As a congressman from Maryland, Bauman preached about the collapse of American morality and founded numerous conservative organizations, including the Young Americans for Freedom and the American Conservative Union.
So it was quite a shock when, in 1980, he was arrested for attempting to solicit sex from a 16-year-old male prostitute. He, like others on this list, blamed alcohol for his indiscretion, but he lost reelection

Mark Foley---Republican congressman Mark Foley served in the House from 1995 until 2006, and voted for the Defense of Marriage Act. But it came to light he had been sexting with two male pages, ages 16 and 18—and after they turned legal, reportedly having sex with them.
Foley denied he “ever had inappropriate sexual contact with a minor in his life,” but his political career was over.

Bob Allen---Allen, a married Florida State Representative, voted against gay rights legislation 90% of the time. When he was arrested for offering a male undercover cop $20 to receive oral sex in a restroom, he claimed he only did it because he was afraid of black people.
On November 9, 2007, Allen was convicted, fined $250 and sentenced to six months’ probation. He submitted his letter of resignation a week later.

Bruce Barclay---Barclay, chairman of the Cumberland County commissioners office, spoke openly about his belief that homosexuality was a sin. But in 2008, he was caught with hundreds of tapes of him having sex with male prostitutes.
Court documents indicate Barclay patronized a rentboy site and, at least twice, flew a 19-year-old to his home in West Palm Beach. Cameras were hidden throughout the house—in the bathrooms, bedrooms and “indoor recreational areas”—and recorded between 100 and 500 sexual encounters with other men.

Larry Craig---In 2007, this Republican senator famously blamed his arrest for solicitation in an airport bathroom on having a “wide stance” and refused to resign his post.
In 2014, the Federal Election Commission filed suit after discovering Craig had illegally used campaign funds to pay his attorneys during the whole ordeal. He was ordered to pay the Treasury Department $242,535 out of his own pocket. Craig appealed, but in 2016, the U.S. Court of Appeals ruled against him.

Steve Wiles---In 2014, this Republican Senate candidate campaigned heavily on his support for North Carolina’s same-sex marriage ban. His supporters were shocked to learn, though, that Wiles had performed as Miss Mona Sinclair at a drag club in Winston-Salem. He was also a promoter for the 2011 Miss Gay America pageant.

Jim West---Two former Boy Scouts claimed West, the mayor of Spokane, Washington, fondled them and forced them to perform sex acts when they were minors. West confirmed he had offered gifts, favors and an internship in Internet chats with a man he believed was 18, but denied the molestation charges. West acknowledged he was gay but declined to step down as mayor, and was eventually removed from office by a special election. Before his death in 2006, he said he regretted voting for a bill that banned discussion of homosexuality or LGBT rights in schools.

Not that I ever put stock into their opinion, they are politicians so their opinions I couldn't give a rats ass about either. But I do like seeing them all eat crow after all that talk about how virtuous and great they are. Looks like they were eating more than crow though.

I have reviewed my life and I find that I am not without sin. I cringe at some of the things I have said and implied that I had no right to. Weak moments, best regulated to the closet and forgotten. Then you see all this shit bubbling up and I think that it is a right of passage. I changed (but what I said was said). Do better is sort of my mantra.:myday:

Louis C K is co-writer and creator of Better Things, one of the most pro-women shows on T V. Go figure

LOVE that show, one of my favorites.

This shit happens in EVERY segment of our society. The ONLY reason why Hollywood celebrities are in the headlines on this is simply because they are celebrities.

Oh, and as @Silver420Surfer pointed out, the above holds true for political celebrities as well entertainment celebrities. Oh, and what about media heavy religious celebrities, especially religious political celebrities. These jerks take hypocrisy to a WHOLE other level. My radar warnings light up like a Christmas tree anytime I hear anyone talk about the lack of morality in others.

Sadly, it's not just about bad people doing bad things with everybody getting their day in court its also becoming a media event and a political tool. All would be better served if we were focused on justice for all those involved instead of some story of the moment outrage.

No, its not about bad people doing bad things and days in court.

Its about men and a system that is thoroughly weighted against victims. Dealing with all this kind of shit quietly in the courts is exactly whats kept us in this mess in the first place.

Its time for a lot of shouting instead.

Aimed at no one in particular but this thread is already full of enough crap. Stop having opinions and read more actual research, listen to victims.

EDIT: Is there a way to make this thread invisible to me? Autism and OCD and emotional subjects like this are not great for not getting involved in threads like this and I'd like help by not being able to see the thread.

No, its not about bad people doing bad things and days in court....Without the force of law its up to people to moderate their actions, not something bad people necessarily do.

Its about men and a system that is thoroughly weighted against victims...That I believe is a point of view as oppose to a fact but its a free country and we all get our opinions.

Its time for a lot of shouting instead....What do you have after the shouting that can be enforced.

Aimed at no one in particular but this thread is already full of enough crap. Stop having opinions and read more actual research, listen to victims....Opinion are often a direct result of real world experience so while I respect your opinion I consider my own as relevant too in the real world.

You are not entitled to your opinion...BS

You are entitled to your informed opinion....I am informed so this statement is as the one above irrelevant.

No one is entitled to be ignorant.....If you look at all the things that could be known in this world compared to the things people chose to learn about the gap is huge. So I content that ignorance is mans natural state, entitled or not its reality.

If I have triggered an event related to your autism, OCD or emotional state it was not my intention however after all this time on the board I am sure you have had this happen before. Stay High

Wow.

You didnt 'trigger' anything, and time spent on a forum has no effect on my disability.

OK lets deal with ignorance.

Can you fly airplanes? If not you are ignorant of that.

Do you speak the native language of Bosnia? If not you are ignorant of that.

Can you drive a team of horses? If not you are ignorant of that.

I could spend the rest of my life listing things we probably don't know about (ignorant of) which probably outstrips the pathetic amount we do know, so we live in ignorance. Get the point yet?

I dont have an opinion on those subjects, not they are really inflammatory subjects that I could have an opinion about, but if I wanted to do some reading and learn, I could. I'm not going to sit here saying that my views on Bosnian language or flying planes are as valid as someone who has actually worked in that field.

Cool, you dealt with it. I got the point. You're completely ignorant of the points I was trying to make and you have no interest in learning or understanding and want argue about.... nothing.

Taking this down to the personal level was not my intention and honestly I don't know enough about you to have such a conversation.

Every day people deal with sexual harassment on a daily basis in our society. I've had to deal with it back in the day. Luckily I was able to handle things myself but the bosses didn't do anything back then. Often the accuser would be the fired. I'm hoping there is a change of axis. Just because a women shows off her breasts that doesn't mean you can touch them. Not exposing the breast or anything. Maybe something a little low cut. Its important to dress according to your job that you have - sometimes more conservative and sometimes not so much.

I think a waitress has to put up with so much. I've seen some pretty shocking things. I've never had to be a waitress and I admire them for their hard work and the BS they have to put up with.

At a young age I had grown men saying very inappropriate things to me and I was 14 years old. I did look like I was a couple years older at the time.

I had a male friend that was a state patrolman back in the 1980s. He went to the superiors beacause one of the female officers was being harassed sexually. He was labeled as a trouble maker. He was given the worst areas to monitor and was shunned. He eventually left the patrol and actually sued them and got only around $150,000. The lawyers make most of the money. He loved his job as a patrolman and it left him with emotional problems and a low opinion of humankind.

Regarding this situation with this judge sexually abusing a 14 year old, or should I call him a child molester if it's true. . I say get the lie detectors out. It's sounds the 14 year old told other people at the time. The mom confronted Moore and he denied it. I believe that this sort of thing happened a lot back in the 1980s and especially before that. Its even happening now.

Edit
@FlyingLow
Nobody has a right to abuse you. I'm sorry if it sounded like that. I was getting at even with a low cut shirt nobody has a right to touch your breast or anywhere else for that matter without permission. A lawyer does dress differently than a barista. We've had bekini baristas but nobody should be grabbing their tits - I hope that makes it more clear! Unforetuneatly there were occasions when men were waiting outside and sexually attacking them after they got off work. I'm not sure if the bakini barista is still goin on?

Some parts of the world it's horrendous how women are treated and their society condones this and feels it's normal. Hideous behavior shouldn't be normalized, I keep adding to my post.

It is RARE I have anything to post that contradicts what you believe CarolKing, but frankly- FUCK everything about the line quoted above...

...and I do see your overall point above is in line with my views, but saying this one statement basically contradicts everything you say before it. Dress however the fuck you want, wear nipple pasties and a thong, or a clown costume, what you wear has no bearing and does not give anyone the right to abuse you.

Andreaerdna

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
. Dress however the fuck you want, wear nipple pasties and a thong, or a clown costume, what you wear has no bearing and does not give anyone the right to abuse you.

I agree with this statements 100% but i believe we do not live in my/yours ideal world
Unfortunately sex offenders exist in large amounts and I think their criminal acts are triggered more likely by a woman walking a dark alley wearing nipple pasties than not
while i will defend the rights to wear any nipple pasties anyone wants I would advice my ipothetical doughter to pay attention to “subhuman” and dress accordingly to the situation: if she wants to go topless on a sunny beach or in a dark pub my parental advice would be very different
