I got my matrix sidecar from dhgate yesterday. Huge improvement over my old small bong.

It's really smooth, which makes it easier to take slow draws. I can milk it up really nice.

I also like using the stainless steel stem, lite sometimes. The glass bowls are a bit too big for me for solo use. Might be nice for a group though.

Only issue I'm having now is with the extension cord. Seems to be crapping out on me. If the wire is pulled in the wrong way, it loses the connection.

I go from the plug to the VVPS to the 3 foot extension cord, to the UD. I saw on Amazon that new cords are less than $3... so I'll probably order a couple of those.

I'm also wondering if there will be any new stems coming out with the steel bowls? I would love to get my hands on an oversized NonG. It would also be cool if there was something like the stainless steel stem, but in a J shape so that I could use my UD upsidedown rather than holding it up horizontal.

I bet @underdogette could hook you up?..

Not needed. I already got a good hookup on my original purchase.

Less than $7 plus free shipping from amazon for two cords is no big deal. Just want to make sure I'm buying the right ones.

I live in Canada, so no point in dealing with shipping and customs from the US just to get a cheap wire.

It's great to see all you Dogs helping each other out as usual, you're awesome!

We're in Mexico at the moment and the internet is hit and miss depending on where we're at so you guys answering questions and helping people out is even more appreciated than usual.

@GoombaTroop - spec wise those should work fine (2.1mm x 5.5mm) but @formicae option better I think based on his comments.

Thanks. Just ordered the one you suggested. My wife has Prime, so it should be here tomorrow.

It's very close to the one UD offers, but the sheathing is a hair thicker. Once the kinks rest for a bit it gets quite supple. It's a bit long at 15 feet (I like to be able to move around the room sometimes), but it's easier to bundle it up at the power supply end than need an extra two feet and not have it.

After almost 4 years, my UD is still running strong. Plugged in and ready 24/7 the whole time with maybe two weeks total time of being unplugged.

Almost 4 years ago, I was using a CRZ. Great little log that I'd had for a couple of years at that point. The only downsides was the airflow, and the lack of ability to milk glass. Those were enough to make me want to part ways and move up to an UD. Dave saw my ad up here in the classifieds and was kind enough (thanks again) to trade me for a Holiday UD. It's been outperforming me ever since.

I have noticed in the past few weeks, the heater core has a bit of wiggle to it. Is this something I can send it in to be fixed? If I do need to send it in, is it ok to keep using it for a few weeks before I do?

@underdog how long you thinking for custom work to ramp up? Or not really thinking about it yet haha

Still trying to get sorted on where and how I want to set up shop in the longer term so not quite sure yet. Since we sold the house/shop I've been 'borrowing' shop space from friends as needed but that's probably not a long term solution.

This week I'm trying not to think about anything too much besides how many more beer cans I need to add to this pile before I can make a respectable snow-angel in them. This is more or less the first time I've really had a break where I could stop and breath a bit in the past 7-8 years so I'm trying to make the most of it lol. On the super-bright-side beer is pleasantly cheap in this part of Mexico so I'm off to a good start.

Nice, that's a pretty good run! Movement in a Dog that old usually means you're finally approaching the end of it's (the wooden body) life. Not any repairs to do at that point so just enjoy it. Excessive movement, especially in a twisting fashion (it tweaks the wires on the heater) is the worst so limit that and see how much longer she goes. :2c:

No twisting yet. So that's a good sign. It's been a hell of a run. At least it happened close to the Xmas sale.

Now get back to relaxing and having some fun. Well deserved.

I've decided to buy an underdog for Christmas! I know I'm late to the party...Forgive me. I was wondering if Under Dog usually has a Holiday Vape? And maybe the ballpark price so I can get my ducks in a row.

Yes, they usually do have Christmas sales. Some pups go in the 100-150 range, me thinks.

Hi all, it’s been forever. Glad to see everyone doing well. Have a good weekend all.

Thank you! Man thats better than i thought. Cant wait for december.

While we have on occasion had Dogs get into those super low numbers this year other than a possible handful of further discounted Lost Dogs they probably won't.. we just don't have enough inventory available with the lack of a full time shop space to go that low.

That said we will have a number of really nice (non-Lost Dogs) pieces in the traditional Holiday range starting at $175 or so. The aforementioned Lost Dogs though (maybe 5-10 of them) might be in the $150-$160 range though.

The sale usually runs the length of December unless we run out of inventory (I don't think that will happen).

Thank you for letting me know. Im even fine paying full price. From what i read dogs are worth every penny.:brow: I have been eyeing the black walnut and the vintage multiwood. Those purplehearts are sexy but the cracking kinda scares me. Also is there a major difference between the sc1 and sc2 heaters? Its not that much more if there is a difference.
