CCA Liger banger V3.0

Interesting...

My experience has been COMPLETELY different.

I ordered a custom rainbow color AH coil shroud on Oct. 12th. I received it on the 26th...

Then, I ordered a new 30mm Rainbow bucket, locking nut, intake tube and another AH custom gold color shroud for a friend on Oct. 31st. After reading these last few new posts with the complaints, I went to check my email to see if CCA sent me any updates, and what do you know... all my stuff is shipped and should be here Friday or Saturday (Nov. 10th - 11th)

On top of that, I got 2 refunds for $10 each without asking for them. I placed 3 separate orders at different times for the items I mentioned above, but CCA decided to combine them and not overcharge me on shipping :)

Yesterday evening I got this message from CCA:

"We were out of joint adapters which just arrived monday. Thats what held up your order. We cant ship you a liger without the Joint adapter as the liger is completely useless. We thought we would have these in a couple weeks ago but had some holdups with our supplier.

We are working around the clock to get all items out. We have already shipped about 100 packages out today alone"
(bold by me)

Why don't they communicate this with their customers in time? Neither it's the quality of their products nor the waiting time per se, it's only the lack of CS and missing communication of unforeseen events which makes it hard being a customer of CCA and your trust losing.

What I'm thinking is that maybe Josh will hear "two weeks" thrown around as an ETA for his made-to-order parts, and will then feel too optimistic to want to compensate for the extra week or so of holdup that accompanies "custom" small business orders. Just seems a little unrealistic to expect perfection from people completely out of one's reach.

They are off the hook.
PM sent.

I have two, and this is a good excuse to post up some Liger porn!

Here the (precviously pictured) Dub Snork Refined Klien with 30mm V3 Liger & AH coil:

He is my favorite blower, killer function.

:leaf:
He may be mine as well. His function is so on point and I love the shaping of his pieces. Can you possibly send me a PM on how to purchase as well? It would be greatly appreciated. Sorry, dont mean to derail the thread, the Liger would be going onto the TH piece. haha

Maybe he needs a new vendor. Either way, it's unrealistic to be ignored after you spent you money with them.

And to top it off, I was lied to in my email. My order could and should have shipped weeks ago as I didn't order a liger and didn't need the adapter as he told me. I ordered a carb cap. So his BS excuse was just a lie to me by him. A shady business practice.

I know I wouldn't have my customers if I ignored their inquiries and questions.

I really didn't want to get into this again but I really do see how people might not read almost 120 pages and know the entire story.

Everyone keeps saying "give them a chance" or "josh is a good guy" or that this somehow isn't directly fault of CCA, but.....

This is at least the 3rd time in a year that CCA..... AS A WHOLE...has completely gone dark for weeks at a time......with several open orders.....several open customer service issues yet to be resolved.
They have had MORE than a year to get their shit smoothed out regarding inventory, production and customer communications....and thats not even including the entire previous year+ when they sold Liger 2 and Zeus nails..... Josh is a great guy....great at nail design but not at business and not at rectifying CONTINUAL issues with his company. In the roughly 18months Ive known about CCA, they have hit none of their launch dates, and none of their revised launch dates. They have significantly changed product design with zero communications with customers who purchased them expecting the original designs. And Im still super confused as to how a "made to order item" with a lead time of 7-14 days can be sold out but maybe since this is The 3.0 versions birthday (public release roughly), maybe its time for 4.0 and this is just another example of poor communication to customers.

Im in no way bashing the company, everything stated is complete fact and while isolated only to my personal experiences, has been confirmed and repeated on these forums by others also and stated with zero malice or ill intent.....Im simply calling a spade, a spade and want people to have a, while perhaps not "right"..... maybe a more realistic expectation of dealing with CCA. I have 7 separate purchases from them, and this is after going through the pointless hassle of actually filing a BBB complaint against them...AND will most likely make future purchases and still FULLY RECOMMEND their products as they are truly top notch.....BUT, know what you're getting yourself into when you do put your money down and make no mistake that this is an isolated or 1 time thing.

I have been waiting since 10/1 on a simple dabber, nothing more, just the dabber. I keep being told it will go out next week for sure, problems with the shop, didnt come in, coming in next week. Bottom line is its been over 5 weeks and it still has not shipped. While I love my Liger the CS is an absolute joke. I truly wish Josh would hire some people that understand business and CS and let them run the show. He should stick to R&D and leave the day to day operations to someone that knows what they are doing. So very frustrating.

I believe Josh himself do so meanwhile. Haven't have any personal contact with Josh since half a year. But his CS guys aren't not the best I fear. A lack of overview or they have to wait an eternity for answers from Josh

Nobody wants to hear this, but my best CCA experiences are when I buy and forget. It eventually does show up.

This is so much easier after the first time. Worth waiting.
I agree it's worth waiting for, but the waiting is hard if you don't already have one. I decided to go ahead and purchase one of the 16's yesterday since they were on such a good sale. I already have a 20mm so waiting is not an issue. I do microdabs and wanted a blue Liger, just couldn't pass it up. I went ahead and ordered it with all 4 connectors just to be safe, because I never know what kind of rig I might want to put it on in the future. Even at that, including the SIC insert, it was only $135. I guess I purchased it just at the right time, because I went back on the site later in the day to look at something, and it said they were sold out. The 30's look nice, but in my case, it's overkill.

I got an IR thermometer gun to measure the surface temp of my insert.... I think it's PERFECT :D

K7X7kEv.jpg

I also learned that with an AH coil, there is about a 55 - 60F degree difference between the actual insert temperature and what the controller displays.

Your IR gun may be good, but they are known for inaccuracy. K-type thermocouple thermometer is a bit better.

But, I have also done temp measurements (with a K-type) and we have very similar results (using an D-nail coil). See case #1 below:

I ordered a 30mm 14" female liger with sapphire october 7th and on October 23 was told the hang up was the 14/18 adapters. I was also told that if I wanted 10mm they could send it out then, so of course I said yes. I even went to thickassglass and bought a 14mm to 10mm dropdown because I dont have any 10mm pieces. Today is the 10th of November and nothing has shipped. I already have my dropdown though.

Yeah they just keep shooting over excuses once a week. Then nothing. Said mine would ship within 24-48 hours on Tuesday, yet still nothing has shipped. This is fucking ridiculous.

Really hating to read all this as the Liger is on my wishlist. I was thinking that when I am ready the bumps in the road will be ironed out, but this is looking to be a recurring problem.

Why is it always the cool shit!! :bang::bang:

I agree with @ensabbahnur 100%. I have only been dealing with them for 2 months and already made 3 orders. First order for a Silver Liger set took 25 days with little communication as I expected some delay. Second was a Insert which has been my best experience with them. Ordered and received the insert in a week. When the insert broke, customer service was great and got a replacement within a week. Third order was a hurricane master set and that on 26 days now but last i check, USPS had it and its on its way to me. But this last time, like @ensabbahnur said, they went dark for a week or so. Once i went to file a dispute with my payment provider, my order was sent out a couple days later.

I would never had file a dispute if they had just said to me, hey, we got some issues, i expect your parts to ship next week. i will be in touch. But instead, i get a email saying the adapter in my order is back ordered and that is the reason i havent shipped your order in 3 weeks even though i didnt order a liger and didnt need the adapter.

Yes, they are a pain to deal with especially if you dont already own a liger but is worth waiting. Potheads arent the most patient people too. But they do make great products that function really well with nothing else to compete.

I never had experience dealing with Josh. I have only dealt with CS which may be Josh or not, i dont know. But I will most likely get the 4.0 Liger 30mm when it comes out but did decide not to buy the 20mm Liger as I do not want to be stuck to CCA for all my vaping tools. If the 20mm Liger gets a 30% off discount, I may grab one. The Liger is worth the wait but maybe josh needs to find a business partner and stick to the back end of the business.

THat sucks! you get a 10mm drop down because they tell you they can ship the 10mm adapter sooner but they dont. Should of just waited.

It's a bummer that wait times are longer that the website claims but this isn't a new thing by any means. Anybody else think it might be worth it to have another thread for this kind of discussion? I've seen that for other products in the past and think it would make sense here. We're starting to bury any information users might need with the same issues over and over.

So, in terms of the Carbs that CCA offers, does anyone have any thoughts on how they stack up against each other or some good alternatives to the CCA carbs?

wait times are terrible, but if anyone is still on the fence, I definitely still recommend the product as it has been an incredible upgrade to my every day vaping experiences. Worth the wait.

If you have the 30mm Liger, you dont have many options other than CCA's three carb caps. Their is the Weirdeer glass cap for $75. @alittledabwilldoya' has one up for sale and a few others i believe.

If for 16MM or 20MM Liger, i believe there is a bunch of options. You will have to read back to find them and i cant help you as i never searched for anything other than 30mm Liger caps.

To update on my order. I did receive my order from CCA yesterday. I ordered a Silver Hurricane Master Set on 10/18 and received it on 11/13.

Josh wrote please enjoy the free tsunami carb cap on the invoice as he gave me one for the delay i assuming. He didnt specify. It looks like he prefers to give freebies than communicate. either way, its been warned MANY TIMES that CCA service is subpar, shipping moves at a snails pace and the Liger works the best and is worth the wait.

I did try the new tsunami cap and i didnt fit my Liger as it slide around for 1-2mm and never sits solid. My original tsunami carb cap fits perfect and doesnt shake or move when sitting on the Liger.

I also noticed the hole in the new tsunami carb cap was drilled at an angle compared to straight down on my original tsunami cap.

As for the hurricane cap. I like it and works as good as my original tsunami cap but spins better and leaves less puddles as i able to move the cap better. But what i do really like is the skeleton handle from CCA. This thing is really nice and works in terms of keeping the heat off the handle. I may actually order another skeleton handle next time I order something from them.

@Shooby thanks for those insights very very helpful and I will dive back to take a look for those posts.

Definitely interested in the hurricane.
