2 weeks and 2 days since I ordered with no update. And no replies to my inquiry.

My Communications with them has been limited. I heard from them once in the past two weeks and it was in regards to replacing an insert but when i asked about my order, they have yet to reply. I have sent additional emails and still no reply.

How do i go about buying a Tony Hernandez recycler? I searched online and i couldnt find a way to order his glass. I have been interested in his recyclers and they seem really functional.

Is it worth it to just get the cables and nails (prolly 20mm) from Auber with the bad boy? Or should i toss the money on the nail to something from CCA and wait out the apparently long time?

You can't beat a properly set up Liger with SiC (now Obsidian), IMO. D-nail Halo with SiC is another, perhaps more affordable option but you must get their somewhat pricey carb cap if you do. Its critical.

Personally, I guess if I had to have a savings time line, I would get the Auber controller, coil, and Ti nail and then save like a SOB for the Liger.

Just my thoughts and thanks for the compliment (blush LOL).

Personally I have no experience with the Obsidian inserts. As a matter of fact, my Liger is a version 2.0, 20 mm with SiC and there was no tier 1 or 2 SiC at that time. It still works great.

I'm thinking about getting a 20 mm Obsidian just to ensure that I have a bucket in case CCA710 ain't around and I break my SiC. I like my Liger that much and want to ensure I can keep it going. If he still had 20 mm SiC at the lower cost, I would get that instead as, and this is just a personal opinion, I think we quickly reach a point of diminishing returns wrt these very expensive dab surface materials....particularly Sapphire. I know for many its worth it as they perceive a significant difference in taste and performance....but me, I'm very happy with my SiC insert and my SiC halo on my D-nail.

I just received mine and have only taken two dabs off of it so no firm opinion yet.
Definitely seems similar to Tier1 SiC in appearance.
I normally use a Sapphire insert which seems smoother than both SiC and Obsidian.
I'm cleaning my SiC insert now for a head to head.

love the 30 over the 16, but still not as perfect as I wanted it to be, I ended up ordering the custom AH coil and Steel Kube One.

I feel like I'm getting a lot of spillover from the sides so that it gets on the under-side of the Obsidian insert. Am I doing too big of dabs?!?! lol or am I just being carefree with my Weirdeer cap and spraying it all over the wall of the bucket?

I find that with the custom AH coil, the walls of the insert get heated better, so that the oil vaporizes a lot more on contact with them, GREATLY reducing the chance of a spillover.

The carb-cap could be playing a part. Someone else definitely mentioned the Weirdeer caps making a mess.

Orderd on the 14th of October. 2 weeks was up emailed them on the liger 3.0. They said they were delayed a week for 14/18mm male adaptors supplier mishap... Said they would get them next week but the rest of the order was there and ready to go out. Waited a week and just spot checked on if they got the parts they did mid week. Said it would go out asap. Emailed today to find out if illl get it this week as its still not been sent waiting to hear back now... Really wish they would take advantage of a web based cms with a portal. They would be able to track info from supplyer and there recieving ect could auto update and link to order numbers allowing customers to see whats going on cutting down on man hours managing emails that could be automated saving him time and money :D and making it super simple for us customers to know whats up with out bugging them.

At least you are getting a response from them. I havent heard a thing on my 10/18 order. If i do not hear from them by mid week, i will just contact Paypal to dispute the sale and just move on from CCA.

So far my Wierdeer has not caused any spillover. Is it the technique? Also not quite sure how fat you like to dab but that's probably why it's happening to you. My lungs can't take much more than .1 at a time, so I haven't really put my 30mm to its paces.

I am starting to wonder if something happened to the guy. I know its a tiny op and for them to completely drop off radar seems off for any small company.

If its just supply issues, i am sure they would communicate. I even submitted a paypal dispute and so far no response from them.

I hope they get it figured out as they make a great product but just completely suck as customer service or just service in general.

This sucks even more for you @Hogni as you have to wait months. If they do come alive, maybe i do need to buy a few extra inserts in the event they go under.

Still nothing and 7 days from being 30days out. Still haven't received a reply yet as to why the delay now they have everything as per there own words so what gives? And it is kinda weird to have blowout sale when the product you put on sale is not even made and in your hands. Yes that would drive up sales but how do you deal with all that incimming businesse if you dont have the product? Im having a hard time understanding whats going on. Im a maker/builder run my own business it is just me so i setup with a good cms. My clients get emails with weekly updates. Whats being made now. This is in paint now 4 days till finishing ect we keep thwm updated. Funny my clients never have a complaint because i keep them updated to anything thats going on. Specially when every order placed with 14/18mm adaptors could have had a mas email sent out the secound they knew they were a week behind. Thats not a time sucking thing to do 5min everyone happy. Parts in and ya send another 5 min bulk email and now peeps dont bitch. Its when they have to go looking for answers on there own and get no reply so its left up to there imaginations to try and make sence of it and they get annoyed. again arent we the clients paying for the service and the best product? You want to be high end and have things "gain value" because there serial numberd now? People dont buy a Rolls Royce because its the best they buy it for the expierence from day one to driving it daily. How the company treets you is all part of the value.

Been saying it all along, they are funding their business by selling gear that doesn't not exist yet. You are investing in their R&D basically. It's typical in this industry. People get these great ideas and then tie up OTHER peoples money.

I know IG glass vendors with more professional skills with business tbh.

Well I can tell you the email you received about the joint adapter for the Liger is just a generic BS email as I just received that email myself after sending a dispute to Paypal. The only problem is that I didnt order a Liger and have no use for the adapter in my order. I ordered a the Hurricane Master Set.

So just got this in email from cca710 still dont get how he can say one thing the toyally diffrent the next week. They got them in last week now they just got them monday which is it and why is this guy telling us one thing via guessing im assuming cause he called and talked to the owner this time...? Why not last time i can hear the Ball dropping....

"Hey so I just got off the phone with the owner. He told me the parts didnt arrive last week they got held up with Fedex. We just got them Monday. He promised me ALL orders will be shipping with tracking numbers in the next 24-48 hours as hes working on all of them now.

I really do apologize for the long wait time we had some issues with our supplier. For the troubles I would like to offer you a 10% discount on future orders."

10%... Kinda pathetic. I would have offerd my client 25% off the curent order free next day shipping and thrown in a nice piece or upgrade for free as an im so so sorry gift. Espicially when we are on week 4 be week 5 before it makes it here thats 3 weeks over there offerd 2weeks as per there website and i had to chase down answers. And they lied to me last week apparently. Shady just shady.....

Least you got a discount. They didnt offer that to me and i ordered on 10/18.

"Heres what happening. We thought we were going to get the back ordered parts last week but they didnt show up. I just got off with the owner and he told me they hit the office yesterday! Without the joint adapters the liger is useless so we were holding up your order till we got those in. He promised me ALL orders are going out with tracking within the next 24-48 hours. I have been watching the tracking system and as soon as I see tracking ill make sure to update this ticket. You should also get an automated update from stamps.com. We do apologize for the wait"



Just disappointing when you like their products. Shitty service likes this makes me not even use my Liger much. for the first two weeks, i used the Liger 90% to the Flowerpot 10%. Now, its 80% flowerpot and 20% Liger.

Mainly because CCA just leaves a sour taste in your mouth with customer service that just says FUCK YOU but I sure do like your money!

Looks like I wont be buying the 20mm Liger with Obsidian insert mainly because i prefer not to sponsor this type of company anymore.

@Shooby I feel the same way, I barely use the Liger. It feels like a tainted product knowing all I know.

I still feel this ship could be turned around if they truly want it to. I'd love have happy thoughts again when I think of cca.

I got a pretty similar email this morning, and while I agree communicating delays would be nice. iv been following this thread for a while and had expected about a months wait based on other people’s orders. Hope everyone’s stuff ships out and gets to them soon though, pretty eager to try the liger

It is a bummer to hear all of this as someone who is going to get one over the Dnail one way or the other. I would say that if I weren't so fascinated by this thing it would have long scared me off. Granted I'll probably not order too much from them on a repeating basis, but isn't that the point of buying something indestructible and unique? Hopefully the company is paying attention and will do a better job with communicating supply hiccups or delays. It would be awesome to offer wicked discounts, but given my perception of the size theof this joint that wouldn't be sustainable given the likely scope of the problem.

See when they get over the supply demand mismatch and how they deal with customer care after the oopsy is rectified. That will be the real test.

I know in my job I normally field hundreds of complex inquires everyday and then have to find time to do the work people are asking to be done. It is a catch twenty two and I imagined amplified greatly because he doesn't have a dedicated web portal, mail staff, and legions of colleagues like I do. But I know for me patience and respect are so appreciated when the storm hits.

We'll see how I feel after actually doing a transaction with this Josh, but I don't think my approach is too naive...

But seriously, isn't that blue metal so sexy?:borg::cool::love:

Wanted to thank everyone in this thread for sharing their experience. I had DM'd Josh on IG a long time ago about the differences between the three and he was quite responsive and helpful but the whole "7 days wait time" for even just the silver threw me off especially since I want the blue!

After reading through this thread and seeing this trend, it's not something I want to support I understand small businesses can have issues especially when you reliant on others in any way for those parts (part manufacturer, etc) but not being open an honest about it truly has turned me off from making a purchase.

There are other companies on here that have had issues but are open and honest about it and own up to mistakes. Honestly, even if the supply issues are fixed, without a public apology to those on the forums with how many issues they gone through and the ludicrous wait times for even just a response... I don't think CCA710 could ever get my money regardless of how fantastic the product is.

My intention with this is not to bash the company or product as I've definitely seen it perform and see what the hype about. Heck I almost put an order in for a silver 16mm because it's 90 bucks with a free insert and 14/18m adapter but I can't support this type of business practice of being uncommunicative and not being upfront.
