Press slightly with your thumb and then pop the cap off or use your other hand. They get a bit easier with use. Not 1 and done for sure. The capsule and Mighty combo is sooooo good...still my #1

Thanks for the quick reply. I wedge my thumbnail around the bottom edge of the lid to no avail. Where do I “press slightly with your thumb”. Where is the pressing point? Thank you.

Thought I’d chime in
Can you (gently) push it all the way in - lid first - into orange half of magazine
and it will then grip the lid and you can take it apart
by pulling the body off - It’s upsidedown - so it will spill out ..but at least lid will be off

Instead of the Capsules, I recommend these:
arizer-screen-pack-dome.jpg

Only $6 for 4 (extreme q baskets), they allow for better air flow, no popping to open, and u can pre-pack a few with bud and stuff them in a 1g baggy for travelling, very convenient.

In fact I use these at home in my Mighty. I never fill the chamber, always these little guys. That way I need not brush the bowl clean after every use like I used to, and I actually never need to do any major cleaning or screen changing to the bowl.

They fit? I tried them over a year ago and although the basket fit instead the bowl, I was unable to get the cooling unit on as the lip/rim of the EQ basket was too thick/tight against it.

Prepacks don't fall out in the 1g baggy? Or do you put plastic cling wrap on them or something?

Once the capsules are used a bunch of times and get a little gunky, a little warm-up in the chamber can loosen the gunk enough to get them open. But this does not seem to be the case, as yours are brand new, so...
Grip lower half with one hand (you can cup it inside a curled forefinger), then try gently to pry up at any point along the edge of the lid. If it doesn't loosen, rotate the capsule and try another spot; you'll almost always be able to find one point on the cap that will yield easily, so work your way around without forcing things too much until you find an easy spot and it lifts off. And it's true, they will get easier over time and can be reused indefinitely, cleaning with alcohol soak occasionally.

I've had a few of these baskets and I agree with @biohacker that the fit was not good. I was concerned about breakage when putting the c/u on because the top ring of the basket was obstructing a good fit, and the basket itself seemed very tight in Mighty's chamber. I think the dosing caps serve the purpose better.

Have to agree, I have some arizer baskets for a mod I use on another vape, I remember seeing the suggestion in here and tried it, CU gets caught a half turn before its on.

---

@Cnell To take apart new capsules I had issues, this is what I did:

1. Hold capsule in left hand between thumb and fore finger on left/right side, (capsule lid facing into your hand not away from)

2. Now place your right hand thumb on top and angle the thumbnail into the ridge of the lid and place fore finger underneath putting slight pressure on the lid/body,

3. Try to use your left hand to push the capsule body away from the lid while keeping your thumb's nail dug into the ridge of the lid, they should come away from each other, (rotate capsule around till it comes apart if it doesnt work on first try)

4. If this fails, give it a gentle tap on lid sides/top to free the metal bits up from each other, as they are likely stuck together, that happens with metal on metal, but make sure to start gentle you don't want to deform them.

---

In regards to preferred capsule usage, I much prefer a rough grind with a loose fill, anything finer or tamped down seems to leave a tiny bit on top unvaped and I get a sharp acrid taste when finishing the end of the capsule.

My MUCH preferred way to use them is like below, I bent a titanium screen from my Herborizer TI around the base of a capsule, then used this tool's scoop end https://vapefiend.co.uk/ultimate-scoop-tool to increase the bend on the screen so it would fit into the capsule, then used the poking end of the tool so slightly wedge and squeeze the edges of the screen down to just before the half way point before gently pressing on the middle to flatten/ increase tension on sides so it stays in place when emptying.

HNy9zaX.jpg

Gives better airflow / holds more than using the dosing capsules with liquid pad inside, I can load about 0.05-0.06g in them which is my preferred amount to hit at a time.

Anywhere below the cap. These are thin and bend easily. Just bend it a bit if need be and then pop it back in. Or throw it away as they are like $.20 or something in a big pack

Thank you! I hate to toss the AVB in the capsules!

I found it fits tight, but the c/u screws on fine. I did notice that there is a indented ring in the basket screens. Im not too worried about this, I can always replace a c/u. The fit being tight is a good thing imo.

As for the baggies, you just fold it up smaller, and place ur baskets in and zip it up, its nearly like a cling wrap (that would work fine too).

Can anyone figure a hack for the cooling unit to help it cool even more. Like some small item and is freezable, that we can stick in the cooling unit to cool smoke that passes by. Cant be ice or anything that melts water back into the unit itself. Maybe some frozen pees, but those would drip liquid. I cant think of anything.

Perhaps sticking the cooling unit in the freezer before use.

Another thing, I actually purchased a 3foot silicone tfor the Mighty, to turn it more into a hooka (cost only $2 on ebay)

Maybe I can dip part of that tube in a bowl of ice water, and so the smoke will pass through a long tube with a very cold section.

What is wrong about using a decent Water Piece Adapter? There are some nice ones available. I like those that won't need the cooling unit at all (less to clean).

Interesting, how hard did you have to reef on it to get the CU on? Can anyone else confirm this (I don't have a Mighty at the moment). I guess I didn't try hard enough back in the day, but I also was more paranoid about breaking shit back then. These Arizer basket screens can hold more than a capsule yeah?

I suggest that you seriously consider a water piece and use an adapter that eliminates the c/u.
As it is, the c/u is a 'reclaim factory', as condensate builds in there due to the cooling. Any reclaim that you can see is vapor that you didn't get to consume, less effect you experienced.
Some folks will put some ice or ice shavings in their water piece, but I've found that the water alone does a fine job cooling the vapor. It also adds moisture to make your hit a little more pleasant and lung-friendly, since vaporizers tend to deliver a very dry hit. With water in the vapor path, you can go to higher temps on Mighty and tolerate them more readily.
Also suggest, if you have not, that you seek out hi-temp medical grade silicone tubing for use with a vape, not simply the cheapest you can find.

A water adapter (one of several available): https://delta3dstudios.com/mighty-v3-waterpipe-adapter/

For a simple water piece, google "Pinnacle Pro Hydratube". We're not allowed to link to knockoffs here, but you can find a hydratube for under $25 on Ebay, or maybe look in this FC forum under "Classifieds".

Looks like a used and drrty Mighty lol. What do you want to hear? :) (Screen looks a bit clogged, you know...)

Well, there is nothing blatantly wrong that I see . . . Just don't want to breathe in metal shards, ceramics, polymers.

The Mighty screen seems easy to remove based upon a video I watched this morning. I know I need to replace it. Just don't want to mess up the unit.

All fine it seems. Should be easy to clean... I use the capsules and it stays really ok all the time. But nothing wrong with yours too

For those of us who are a little too bothered to keep the oven clean (no judgement, mine is getting dirty again too), I will say that the performance is much better when cleaned. If you feel like you lost your honeymoon phase, give 'er a clean

Hello, everyone.

I got my Mighty back in January or so.

Have a look. Any items of concern?

Thank you.

It looks okay to me., i would suggest waiting until the one year mark and if at that point you're having problems with your Mighty just send it to S&B for maintenance. I had some problems with mine after a year: a few of the little plastic fins on the back casing had busted off, the oven was messed up from over packing (My fault I'm afraid), I sent it in and got it back a couple days later, they replaced the front and back casing, fixed the oven, cleaned the air path, and even included a new cooling unit. It feels like having a brand new Mighty and I didn't have to pay for it just the shipping fee. I hope this helps

Yes... I would expect nothing less from S&B!

The fit was snug, but required no effort to screw the c/u on.

That's bad news about the mighty c/u being a reclaim factory and collecting some of the good stuff. I guess the solution is to buy that adapter you linked, and then cool it somehow, like through water (but doesent water absorb some of the thc/cbd too??) It seems like its hard to get around this, unless u bypass cooling and take the hit direct.

This is why I brush the bowl out after EVERY use. You can replace the cooling unit, but not the oven. And now I use basket screens so no need at all, its completed protected.

Have you tried the glass mouthpiece yet? It definitely cools the vapor

This is the balancing act. Not easy to inhale directly at 365-410 degrees! so it's all about the vapor path and what happens in there. The Mighty's cooling unit is a little marvel, but not the only way to travel.

The Grasshopper is nearly what you describe about direct hit; universally seen as a hot vape!

Vapor (or condensed vapor) is an oil and doesn't 'dissolve' in water, but it does condense from the cooling process and will collect on the walls, etc., of water tool, and this is why the water tool itself needs to be cleaned regularly.

And, note the word used for the gunk in c/u is often 'reclaim' and there are lots of ways of re-using it if you choose to.

Sorry to be getting a little off-topic of the wonders of Mighty here. There are lots of other threads about all this, and all of it appears in earlier pages of this thread.

:rip:

finally i choose to pay 79€ for a new Mighty because I only had 5 months of warranty left and the S & B support seemed a little too robotic this time, every time I asked questions, they did not answer me or with an automatic template (maybe bad luck?!) ... hard to communicate with them this way, I've enjoyed more the RMA process when it was done by mail , have a contact with a real person who took the time to answer me, not only with automatic template like a robot.

Here I am with a new Mighty, it seems lighter (yet it 's the same weight according to the spec), the warm-up time is not much faster compared to my old Mighty (happy to have chosen a brand new unit because I would have never had a new mighty for the housing problem like @luke00978 ). After 5 session yesterday,i still have 3 battery bar left, so it seems the battery is better (idk if it's 20% more battery like the new Crafty). The vibration is more smooth , the boost is not really usefull atm for me, we will see later if i give more use to this feature...
Oh they have new box:
DbdNCSB.jpg

GO back to normal activity - END of my RMA story , have a good day everyone :)
