Here's my version of an induction heating station based on @Pipes info in the DIY thread. Functional for 2 dynavaps. Aluminum star in the center is a heatsink that you rest your dynavap in to heat. First button latches and enables/disables. Second button is momentary to apply heat. Really takes the dynavap to a whole new level.

I use my M daily and once I found my mojo would not want to be without it, but I've found that I need full range of carburation, from completely closed to full open during use. I've been seriously considering an Omni purchase (really TI Woody XLS vs Omni XL), but I can't help but wonder if I'm not going to be happy with a single carb setting. I know that a few [a lot!] of you have both standard and Omni models can anyone help push me over the Omni cliff?

I am relatively new to vaping and recently picked up the M and a Dynastash about a month ago to augment my small collection of vapes (PAX 2 and Ti Grasshopper). This little device just kicks butt! I find that my hopper doesn't get daily use anymore, and I haven't touched the PAX since the M arrived.

My only complaint about the M is the short length of the device. I'm thinking I'd like to pick up a titanium XL. Do the Dynastashes come in an XL version?

I think so!

Im thinking about doing the same, is it worth the price difference?

Sure! I used the standard eBay/China induction heater module discussed in the original post of the DIY thread, so I didn't really take additional pictures of it. You can see it off to the left side in this pic, but the rest is the underside of the aluminum heatsink block, coil, and the high-current switches (which have built-in LED ring lights). The base of the box has a mostly non-ferrous screw (not heated as dramatically by induction) that can be turned through the hole to adjust the resting depth of the dynavaps when inserted:

I'm Right there with you! not sure which would be better to get. You can always just do what i usually do and get em all! :freak:

I'm trying to make the same decision. I should just get both because I probably will anyway.
I am in love with my M. I find myself reaching for it more and more. I have just a great feel with the vape. It's like we are bonded somehow, or we are old friends back in the swing of things.

I also find myself using the torch more often than my IH from pipes. Nothing wrong with my IH (I love it), but I absolutely love the single flame torch I have, and I like the feel of spinning and heating. It just adds to the experience for me.

DV really has something going. I cant wait to try my next one whether be an Omni or Ti Woody. :)

Don't have any bud so I loaded the M with peppermint tea from a tea bag. Better than nothing, I guess.

AhaV8Rt.jpg

How did that taste?

If you were near me I'd give ya a few buds... I dont have the fancy herb they have in legal states... But it's not compressed Mexican bud either...

Not that i really have an issue with Mexican herb... I use to live a couple hours from the Mexican border. at least a decade ago.. Ounces for $25-40, pounds for $300-400... Wasn't the best herb.. But i made do with those prices!!

-------------------------------

This morning i started my herb hiatus... 5 days later than i planned because i was eager to try the Portside before i started it.

Twice a year i go at least a month without herb. Lets my body clean itself out and restart my tolerance.. The first few days are always real shitty... Hot/cold flashes, anxious, and night sweats... But it always seems to improve my health and makes me enjoy the herb even more after the hiatus is over...

But i dread these first few days... Going to be even harder now that i have these awesome vapcaps and a sweet induction heater staring at me... But that just means more to look forward to on Thanksgiving !

Admirably done, @copilot! Great job!

Is the star/heat sink machined from a single block of Al? Is the box itself
constructed from scratch? Coil glass lined?

Titilating. Indeed.

Top Job! FC me up.:spliff:

I like my Sandblasted M its the first Dynavap I ever had. The only problem I have it I get so baked off the first two hits I forget about the cooldown click and combust the 3rd bowl. I have had to fully wash my Sandblasted M probably 4 times already

LOL. Bet you will have a fast learning curve!

Welcome to the world of sometimes combustion--however, iff ( if and only if ) you mind the click, you won't be surprised!

Took delivery of the SBM today and had two bowls out of it so far and wow.

Awesome service from ordering from the site to uk was so quick but did get import £16 but I don't care even for the total price of £60'ish I'm V happy.

I'm pairing it my double garage double magnet Wenge stash and my Ti Omni. It's perfect match.

My new maxim triple torch turned up this morning as well. The SBM Clicks in 5 seconds maybe 6. Had perfect results with ground herb in my first bowl and a nug In my second.

I think when I've moved in a couple of weeks and have the freedom to vape on couch I think a heating station is on the cards. Need to look into them a lot more though.
Then there's Phatt piggies custom stems I need one of those in my life haha.

Anyway, haven't posted much on here recently only because been enjoying my Omni. It fits my life, needs and situations perfectly.
Everyone needs a vapcap in their arsenal the M is great place to start.

Happy capping dynaheads

I got the same maxim triple torch delivered to me too  love the feel and weight of it but have found it clicks very fast but i dnt get nearly as much clouds as i do with the single honest torch i have, and everytime i lower it the flames splutter

Well, the Omni XL and Woody XLS measurers in at 109mm and is longer than the 92mm M by 17mm. The extra length is luxurious and can be easier to spin especially for those with largest hands.

The M is the entry level, all stainless steel Vapcap. The Ti tipped Vapcaps (Woodys) have more features and the Omni is the top of the line all titanium Vapcap.

People often suspect that performance must incrementally change from model to model. I don't think choosing one model over another is about performance so much. All Vapcaps are wonderful efficient vaporizers. I think it's more about budget, function and aesthetics. The basic M stainless steel tip and build vs the Ti tip with wonderful midsection possibilities vs a precision milled condenser and mouthpiece.

The M is the least expensive Vapcap at $50. It has a stainless steel construction, including the tip. It is a great vaporizer but is basic in its design and engineering compared to the titanium tipped series of Vapcaps. Although you can switch out the stainless steel stem for other stems or Body/mp combinations, it does not have full modularity. For example, the Omni condenser will not function properly with the M tip. The ss tip is not quite as nimble as the ti tip with fewer air channels. It likely has a greater conduction ratio. The M is a fantastic economical adventure into the land of the Vapcaps. Everyone should have one. Take the M fishing...if you do drop it in the water, you will likely deeply mourn its loss BUT, it won't be the absolute end of the world.

The ti tipped series of Vapcaps offer full modularity. Buying one will take you on a deep dive into accessory bliss. LEGO for stoners. You don't have to buy all the models, but with parts you can have any one at any time. The titanium tip is more finely crafted and precision engineered than the stainless steel M tip. It has an more air channels and they are wider and deeper and has finely milled fins. There is an addition oring to create a tight fit onto the condenser and into the body or stem. I think that the 5th gen ti tips offer a higher convection ratio.

The full modularity of the ti tipped Vapcaps mean that you can switch up bodies and stems, straight or VonGs, mouthpieces and condensers. You can add an Omni condenser and achieve full dialled customized air flow.

The all titanium Omnivap is the top of the line. It is a beast. The build is very tight, beautifully engineered with incredibly tight tolerances and should be considered a work of art. The Omnivap is beautiful. The Omni condenser/mp is not only a precision milled component which offers a set it and forget it airflow, perfect for use with water pieces, but it's robust core offers additional strength to the overall device. You can run over your Omni with your car but the M or Woody may not fare so well.

Cautious folks should start with the M IMO.

Those that love wood might choose a Woody with it choice of wood midsections and wood mouthpiece. It sports full modularity with other bodies, stems and mouthpieces and can accommodate the Omni condenser if you want to upgrade to an Omni in the future. The Woody has a fully manual air port.

Those that want to own a finely crafted piece of art, indestructible precision workmanship, might dive headlong into the Omni with its dialed in set it and forget it airflow.

Thanks! Yes, machined from a single block of aluminum to distribute heat better. Box constructed from scratch from some scrap plywood and walnut. No glass lining yet... the heatsink hole has a somewhat tight tolerance that keeps the vap aligned in the center of the coil... but if I did it over again I'd be looking to try something like that out.

That's just :whoa::drool::haw::freak::nod::bowdown::ko::uhh::clap::D:D:D

Thanks! I'm probably not efficient enough to produce these at any reasonable price, but if anyone wanted to pay an unreasonable amount...:lol:
