Sound right so far. The little charger has a light to indicate charging. Red while charging and will go to green when done.
The battery indicator only shows when you press the test button. This unit draws zero power in standby so there is no standby indicator.
Enjoy as it is likely fully charged by now.

thanks @Pipes for the reply. i did not notice the light on the charger plug itself. i looked and mine is blinking between green and orange/red? does that indicate it is still charging since it is blinking? it is a slow blink as well not a rapid blink

i am not sure its charging when its blinking..

i havent been able to find out what that means..

from one of my previous posts in this thread...

....
green = plugged into wall, no load (not charging)
orange = actively charging
blinking between orange and green = ??

the green can also mean its done charging, either way, no load...

i have not unplugged mine yet or mess with the "1/0" switch but i did press the "test" button and saw all 3 blue lights, green and red all lit and my charger light stopped blinking and went back to solid orange.

i think it's ready for me to test but i am not sure and i do not want to harm my new toy on its first day

Got my PS in. Threw the batteries in. Checked the test strip. It showed full charge. Grabbed the omnivap. Stuck it in the hole and lightly pushed down.

A few seconds later i heard a click, i waited 1 second after, 1-1 thousand, and had a great first hit with visible vapor on exhale.

The next two hits were about the same, with flavor completely diminished on the 3rd hit and nothing left but dark brown abv that taste like popcorn to me lol.

Refilled omni and repeated the above with damn near identical results.

One more refill for good measure... Yup! Still performing excellently !

you can surely operate it on less than full batteries.

unplug it from the charger and have some fun.. when you're done, put it back on the charger till full..

did EXACTLY that and have been enjoying it for sure!!!

***EDIT***
i keep forgetting to turn off the kill switch when i am done using it. @Pipes says no power is flowing unless a dip is happening so i assume i am not draining any battery or doing any harm by forgetting or am i?

you are correct, no harm.. i never shut off the skelly unless i was transporting it.

if it was just sitting on the coffee table or the desk at work, it stayed on (switch @ 1)..

Well, it looks like my package is lost in the mail. It's supposed to be delivered today but has been "in transit to destination" for 3 days. If I don't get it today I'll assume the worst and start making calls to the post office tomorrow.

Just wanted to share my DIY induction box. Bought the parts a long time ago after reading the first few pages of this thread and wanted to give it a go. Finally got around to it and am really liking how it turned out. Thanks to Pipes for all the great info!

I made this all myself out of scrap plywood, walnut, and aluminum.

Just a decorative wood box on the outside...

Except for the power plug in the back

But open it up and you get a 2-dynavap heating station with 2 storage slots and 2 cool-down magnets:

The metal flower in the center is an aluminum heatsink milled out of a solid block of aluminum. The first switch is latching and just enables/disables the other switch for safety

The second one is momentary and fires up the heater while the dynavap rests on an adjustable non-ferrous screw (so that it doesn't get as hot).

All switches rated for 5A or greater... A view from the underside:

That's about it... thanks for looking!

Just received my portside last night. Worked very well for about two hours and then it just stopped working randomly in the middle of the session. I'm just wondering if anyone else has run into this.

The batteries were 3 Samsung 25r batteries I put in. Took them out to check the charge and they were all at around 3.9v on my external charger when the unit stopped working, so I don't think it's the batteries, but I can't seem to get the unit to turn back on. Did I break my portside already?

Got my Skeletor today! It's so neat looking. Alas, I haven't gotten to try it yet as I've been waiting for the batteries to charge for close to two hours and I'm starting to think there might be an issue. The battery indicator is still only lighting up the red dot when not plugged into the charger. The charger I received lights up green as soon as I plug it in and stays green when connected to the Skeletor, unless I dip my VapCap in. Then, the heat light comes on, the charger light turns red, but the Cap never heats. If I unplug the charger from the wall but leave it connected to the Skeletor, it stays lit green. I'm using new LG HG2 18650s from IMR, and I don't have any other charger for them. I'm gonna let it sit plugged in for awhile longer and cross my fingers, but that green light has me worried that no charging is happening.

I wasn't actively trying to use it; I was investigating to what extent the unit was functioning as the charger appears to be behaving as if the batteries are fully charged when they are not.

Got my Skeletor today! The timing could not have been better, as I got my LG HG2 batteries from IRM yesterday, and they had all night to charge up on the nitecore.
Shipping prediction said to expect it on the 30th, so 5 days early was a great surprise. I snapped the batteries into place, being careful to put them in correctly, as I saw earlier in this thread that people commonly make this mistake and the batteries are difficult to remove once in place (also true!)
So imagine my disappointment when I connected the battery pack to the induction board, and gave the little battery meter a test... nothing. My heart sank.

Of course, I pry the batteries out with some difficulty, just to confirm that I had followed the instructions accurately. Snap the batteries back in, and begin to trace the wires, investigating the solder points, flipping the kill-switch on... off, on, off. on-off-on-off-on! NOTHING.

A final thought: Maybe I can still use it when it's plugged in? I open the charger that comes with Skeletor, and plugged it in: Success!! The battery meter glowed blue! I hold my breath, and carefully unplug the charger from the unit. The battery meter continues to work! I'm excited again. I set down the unit, gather my supplies, drinks, and snacks. Plunge the titanium tip down into the induction coil. Lights glow - Blue! Orange! and Red! -- CLICK --
