@JCharles I most definitely will check out their instagram account!

I've just heard that the only real problem is the silicone screen that gets clogged. Have there been any incidents with leakage since other concentrate devices like the Yocan evolve carry coil caps that prevent that?

The screen getting clogged is a pain in the nuts but easy enough to fix, or change out (they include an extra screen, and 3 pack replacements are cheap). If you don't stuff a huge glob on the coils and draw at a reasonable rate (you'll get the hang of it, there is a bit of a learning curve) the screen should stay mostly free.

If it gets clogged and I'm being lazy a heavy draw is sometimes enough to pull some of the concentrate out of the holes. I do find it much easier to unclog if its a little warm from firing the coils prior.

The short and long Milaana mouth piece can be used upside down instead of the OEM DAbOX mouth piece. I think with the long stem, you could easily use the DAbOX without the screen - It's 12cm long so lots of clearance for splatter - and it would be an 18mm male joint that you could use as a water pipe adapter.

Im going to try the DAbOX through water early next week when some parts arrive. I'll keep everyone posted if successful!!

I have no access to any concentrates at this time.

However, I have grinder hash. Has anyone used the Dabox with kief??

HI, @Vivant!

Looks like the replacement coils for the Dabox need an adapter to attach to the clip-on terminal;
the screw threads do not work with the bayonet mount.

Do you sell the adapter for the replacement coils--the Dabox is a brick otherwise.....

The replacements should not need to have to be adapted. :bang::D

Hello @stark1 , sorry for the inconvenience you are going through. The reason we originally produced the coils with an adapter part was in hopes that this could allow for interchangeability with future products but as we have seen a few incidents of our customers expressing it as an inconvenience, we decided to go back to a singular coil format with all future production pieces. We published a press release on October 12th in regards to this issue and here is the link: https://vivant.store/blogs/press/new-coils-for-dabox for your convenience :)
If you received the first type of coils and need an adapter, please DM or email us at support@vivant.com so we could do our best to resolve this for you as we have removed the coil adapter listing on our website to prevent anyone from ordering it with no use for it.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions, Thank you! - Ivan

The adapter is in the unit, so you should be able to get replacement coils and use the adapter it came with.

Hey @stickstones thank you for the recommendation! :) - Ivan

After many silicone screen clogs I have started to use my DAbOX without and it's a fantastic experience.

There is an increased risk of pulling hot cannabis concentrates into the mouth but I have not experienced it yet.

The flavour is much better and the vapor is smooth.

If you've been fighting a screen that seems perpetually clogged try it without and report bacl

Popped into the LHS (NoHo, Ma) to see if they stock replacement adapters for the OG coils.

Not only did they carry them, seems a @Vivant rep had dropped by with some adapters
saying that they are to be given to owners of OG DaBox who needed one, so I
Lucked out.

How awesome of you, @Vivant!

Hadn't been on this forum in ages. Just logged in to see if I could get some assistance with my defective DAbOX. When I received it in the mail yesterday I tried to use it and the light flashes green and the atomizer does not heat up. When I open the trey and turn it on the light stays a solid green and the atomizer fires up, until I close the trey then it shuts off again. Very frustrating hoping theres a simple fix so I can start using it.

Great question. Is the connection between the coil and the unit clean?

Did you insert the coil all the way into the unit?

Unfortunately I'm using the old generation DAbOX coils where the adapter also needs to be tightened (new coils are all one piece) before inserting it into the box.

Maybe a quick video if possible to help troubleshoot?

Hey I've had my Dabox for about 3 weeks and it works great but after a good amount of use it's gotten a little dirty and I want to know how to remove the glass chamber part. There are pictures all over the place of it removed but idk how and there is no guide or anything on the package. I know how to clean the coils but not the glass.

P.S. It works great.

You just need to coax it up from the viewing window.

I try and twist as I push it up. Once I can get a grip at the top I twist it out. As a bonus, the twist action keeps the o-rings in place.

You can remove and clean the screen as well. It will likely be pretty gummed up.

Glad your enjoying the unit. It's a great Vivant product (they have many)!!

So I really love my Dabox, which led me to buy the Incendio from Vivant and the water filter for the Dabox. So yeah I pretty much bought all in on the products they sell. I ran into the Dabox at an e-cig shop while shopping for e-juice and as I was walking out I noticed the dabox and bought it on the spot after the guy let me examine it. This was back in the Summer of '17.

I use my Dabox and Incendio daily and love them to death, but I have an issue with my Dabox build quality. About a month ago I noticed the label that is on the bottom of the device swing door that holds the coil had started to bubble up on the edges and I could feel something underneath that was hard. I didn't want to mess with it so I just left it alone. As time went on the object underneath made its way to the edge and I pulled it out. It turned out to be a tiny black screw. This in turn left a bubble on the label the tended to scrape across your hand as you passed it to anyone who smoked with you. It was really annoying but I dealt with it. Then yet another screw made it's way out, so at this point the label was shot so I pulled it off and there were 2 out of the 3 screws that were left stuck to the label.

At this point I didn't care about the label as long as the base plate was secure so I grabbed one of my tiny screwdriver sets to screw them back in and found that the reason the screws were falling out is because the holes they go in are stripped. I also gave the only screw that was still in there a quick turn to loosen it then a slow turn to see if it would stop and it didn't because that hole is also stripped.

So at this point my favorite portable wax vape is hanging on by one stripped screw as it's the only one that would actually stay in when sitting on it's base. :(

I dont think it's going to last much longer, Did anyone else have this problem? It looks like there was an untrained assembler in the plant or they just didn't care. You would think that they would QC that before putting the label on the base.

Oh, I totally forgot about the one other tiny thing that bothers me. According to the marketing materials The LED should cycle to Blue mid way through the battery life. Mine only seems to have a Green then Red LED, so yeah sometimes I'm caught off guard with the battery life.

Is there anything I can do to get this resolved with Vivant?

Regarding the icendio - is it for Ejuice or concentrates or both?

I'm currently working with Ivan on the issues I have and he has been very professional in the whole matter. I will be sending my unit back in when I get a chance.

So, after working with Ivan over at Vivant they have decided to send me a new unit. The customer service experience was top notch and Ivan was very responsive during all of our communications.

I noticed there was even a small revision to the screen, it looks like they have widened the little air holes and also raised that section up a bit so it's further away from the coils which looks like a major improvement, but I haven't had time with the unit to really judge.

Overall I'm a very satisfied customer and would recommend Vivant in the future. So far I've had a lot of fun with the products they provide from the Dabox with or without water filter to the Incendio Kit. I wonder what they will come up with next? (Like I need anymore gear atm  )

I'm so glad to have my Dabox back, it's like the pistol (side arm) to my shotgun (Incendio)

Quick check in. The new screen design is great, I haven't had any clogging at all. I took it out and it was pretty sticky but the air paths remained fully open. I just gave it a quick clean anyways because of OCD.

That just happened...
I’ve been wanting a new concentrate pen so I am onboard the dabox train. It should arrive in a few days.

I got it today. It’s exactly as I envisioned. It packs some serious power which is great and the quick loading coil is fantastic. Home run!
