How do you know how charged the battery is? Or when it’s fully charged? Nothing in the manual explains this

I also can't log into the app despite being able to log into their site.

Not a great start...

Here is a video, about charging the IQ.

I'll be ordering my IQ today from NamasteVapes, anyone know where I can get the spacers? UK

Hi Tiny88, I did have the team look into this. What we ran into was that we had to ship the spacers in a box instead of an envelope, and this is what caused the price to be high. They kept cracking, because we all know how careful postal workers are with stuff.

However, I made them lower the pricing on that particular accessory down to $7. We are actually charging less than it it costs us to ship them at this point...not to mention that international shipping rates are much higher anyways.

Just put a pair of spacers into the IQ box as a accessorie...where is the problem!?

Edit: and btw...these USB cables delivered with the IQ are pretty shitty, have three of them, all are broken

You're lowered the cost of shipping but raised the spacers $1.00

It's best to buy a Nitecore D2 battery charger and not charge the battery in the unit.

So this thing gets pretty damn hot to the touch, huh? Almost hard to hold after a smart path 3 cycle. Also makes an odd like digital noise when I am close to it.

Yeah, got mine today and exactly the same observations. This thing gets really hot to hold and press your lips against, uncomfortably so. And I have no idea if the battery is fully charged or not, but unit keeps buzzing and saying only one bar left...annoying...really annoying...

Use the 10mm mouthpiece and buy a lower amperage battery to resolve heating issue.

Buzzing is normal
Best tip i can give is use it for 3 minutes at a time, then let it cool

Thanks.

Already using the 10mm and will consider getting another battery but my first instinct is to exercise my consumer rights and return the unit. The key will be whether the battery indicator works or not. Leaving the unit on charge for extended period to see if things operate correctly.

This thing costs top dollar and hits a lot of targets but overheating and battery indicator are not things I can live with.

The buzz is irritating as well. But I can live with that!

For me, the battery indicator is not that great on any vape I've owned. On the vapes where I can remove the battery to charge, the nightcore always seems to indicate a bit more than I'd expect left based on the indicator. The IQ, with all its bells and whistles, is no better.

As to the "overheating", it is a hot vape. I've heard using lower amp batteries will help with that, but I've not found that to be true to any marked extent.

I'm not sure either reason is a defect in the product that gives full right to return to davinci. (If another seller, your remedies are there.) If you do have rights to return under the seller's return policy, I'd bet your unit is operating pretty much as most of them would without defect, so would return without trying too much else.

You check battery by pressing both up/down button together. I use the flat mp at the beginning, and then switch to 10mm after it gets too hot for my lips. it's never to hot for my hands, but I vape at low temps, plus I do keep a black "Broccoli" type rubber band on my IQ. Also holding it sideways helps....

I heard from other fc members that using a lower amp battery helps with the hot vape issue; using a 18650 3500mah vs a 3600mah.

Hi everybody! Long time reader and user of the Davinci IQ.

I noticed that the top lid opens while in use. Let me explain.
The rubber grommet where the Vapor Chamber is seated pushes the V.C. up due to higher temperatures, lifting the top lid. The magnet is not strong enough to prevent this and I risk to loose the vapor chamber (as already happened).
If I push the vapor chamber down it is pushed up again by the grommet. The only way I can keep the Davinci closed is with a rubber band.
When the Davinci is off, I don't have any problems.

Do you guys noticed this or I am the only one? Is my unit defective?

Thanks

How much buds can u fit with the small spacer and big spacer ?
With the bigger one I can get 0.06 - 0.08. With the smallest one about 0.15-0.18

Vapor quality ?
I think it's pretty good under 205 °C, best from 160 to 190 °C

I'm in the UK and purchased over the internet. So I have a couple of weeks in which I have 'distance selling' rights...doesn't need to be faulty. On top of which I could argue that the battery indicator is a fault...

Right now the key for me is going to be if the unit keeps buzzing me about low battery when I know it is full...that is a fault and it's going back.

Hope I get to keep it though.

Hi @birdbat, Feel free to PM me here regarding any issues with your unit and we'll get you fixed up. The unit will buzz on start up if the battery level dips below 20% at anytime. Keep in mind that during heat up time there is extra drain on the battery, causing it to naturally dip and then self correct once it reaches temp. If it's not the case and your battery is full, then you either have a defective battery or a defective device.

Thanks. Appreciate your intervention. Accept that there is a learning curve with these things.

Fully charged the unit and will test tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on.

Have a great weekend.

When do we get capsules?
I have the spacers which are good for saving space but capsules just have so many stealth benefits

Never! lol
I pushed for them as hard as I could...

They'll never put a metal capsule in the path. What I suggested was little zirconia caps, (like the flavor chamber) that would slip right out of the bowl for easy dump/reload. I tried

You can try the Flowermate pods from vaporshop.com, they may work.

The flower mate pods work but only with the lid off. Workaround but still not ideal.
Probably would scratch big time if used long-term
I have five of them from the previous vape

That would be cool
Plus 100
